Yeah mate i do have those 9LED lights, i took them out and in the dark checked them in a number plate light holder, and they are very white. Atleast ALOT whiter than they show in the dash, the seller which sent me the leds sent me another batch which should've been slightly whiter, and they look a little less blue... Not sure what to do haha maybe white just aint going to happen. Thanks for help so far though guys.

Theres no paint though it all looks factory. Ive heard of people sanding it but not sure if its the same with nissans.

Yeah thats what i thought but i took them out and tested them and they definitely are white, atleast alot more white than what shows.

Ok so i wanted to change my dash from that pale yellow to a nice white colour to match my boost gauge and just look nicer. I bought white leds and put them in etc. When i lit it up it is actually a bright-ish blue (see pic). I took out the leds and made sure they infact light up white which they do. So i pulled the cluster apart and noticed the faces have a blue coating on the back. Is there an easy way of removing it? or has anyone ran into this problem before? Seems strange that the OEM bulbs had blue rubber things on them, the dash face was blue yet it lights up that pale yellow? I have heard about the same thing on subarus except green. Has anyone come across this before? pic

Ah i see. I would say cheaper to buy another box but better to rebuild yours. Cause you never know with a replacement one and rebuilt is new haha.

Nice car man, what noises was the gearbox making? my 33 25det whines with clutch out so suspect either release bearing or counter shaft, i think counter shaft though. Been driving it like that for ages and hasn't seemed to get any worse..

Did you put the front facing plenum on with engine in car? was it a pain?

Was just thinking because they make the engine bay 10x cleaner looking without the big crossover pipe and less piping could be better response. You can get cut and shut or plazman style ones and retain same runner length?

Just curious as to why you didnt go for a front facing plenum?

I was wanting to get redline but i cant seem to find anywhere that has it. Other than trademe but they sell it as $46 a litre. Im in New Zealand, should i just get the stuff from nissan?

Oh really, cheers guys. I was just thinking when we did my mates clutch in his S15 it was 4bolts to get the whole shifter assembly off and was thinking could fill it from there?

Hey guys reasonably new to forum but have been reading alot in project forum. Im about to do an oil change on my gearbox and have been doing research and it seems like a hassle to fill it with oil using the filler plug. You have to use a pump or some other crazy way. My question is can i open the filler plug, take out the gear shifter and fill it from there, getting someone else to tell me when it starts coming out (you're supposed to fill it till it comes out of filler plug right?). Also the gear shift boot is split and leaking, does anyone have the part number on this? rb25det s1 r33. Cheers.

Nice car mate looks real good. Did you fit the plenum when the car was in the engine bay? how difficult was it?
