  9. UPDATE ON ENGINE BUILD: Piston rings and rods:
  10. i did the rear lower, upper arms and also the traction rod. The engine has been delayed due to special crank shaft delay. It finally arrived the other week. The engine is now being built. All machining is finished. Pistons getting mods. Block has been washed. Block is getting strengthened next week. Aim is to be finished by the 3rd and go to Phillip Island for testing..... fingers crossed.
  11. I did the rear traction rods & upper camber arms as well.
  12. Hey Paul she looks fantastic mate. She is almost like a twin to my beast. I am still waiting on the new motor for mine. No idea where its at as the crank shaft was delayed. 330kW looks great. my other engine was running 309kW before it popped. I thought 309 was awesome power...... We will have to meet up at a track day in melbourne when I get my engine back.
  13. REAR SUSPENSION HELP NEEDED!!! I AM UPGRADING THE LOWER ARMS ON THE REAR TO A SET I PURCHASED FROM JAPWAREHOUSE. The new lower arms come with their own tappered cone bush/spacer...but this alone does not seem enough...apparantly you need to take the old cone/bush/spacer off the old arms and use. when i do this the spacing still does not seem right.....I AM UNSURE WHAT I NEED TO CANABALISE OFF THE OLD LOWER ARM SET? THE BOLT SHAFT SEEMS A LITTLE TOO LONG EVEN IF I TAKE THE OLD CONE BUSH/SPACER OFF THE OLD LOWER ARM. WHAT AM I MISSING HERE? CAN ANYONE ADVISE ON WHAT i NEED TO MAKE THE SPACING RIGHT? check the photos of the old new...any help or direction to a how to thread would be appreciated... cheers ev
  14. Nothing yet other than fit the upgraded Walbro 255l/h pump. The car had surge issues on the bottom half of the tank all day at lakemountain. Chris thought it was a wiring problem with them pump. but all the guys racing said a surge tank (or keep the tank pressed full of fuel) is the only way to go.... looking into details now...I asked Pro Fab on the forum if he has any ready made kits for the 32. waiting to hear a reply on that one. I am trying to do a bit of work myself as getting the shop to do everything is hurting my wallet too much....(ouch)....
  15. Paul are you fitting a surge tank setup? If so what arrangement? Ev
  16. I think I will come to this. GTR is out of action. might bring big red for a bit of fun on Saturday.
  17. hey Paul, looks like the build is progressing really nicely. You must be getting anxious to get it out for a shakedown one day in the near future?? This build must be close to one of the best on this forum to my eye. It makes me wish I had have been less impatient with mine and done a full strip and build over a longer time......... alas regrets..... How long to you get it to racepace? Good luck with the whats left.
  18. Hey Paul I am thinking of going this way on my R32GTR build. I recently purchased a quaiffe 6 speed dog box for the car(not fitted yet). I am thinking this Quaiffe front diff might be a nice compliment to the new engine and box I am adding. Do you have any other suggestions for the drive train? Can you PM me the details of your dif supplier as well? Cheers.
  19. yeah I know. But she will be worth it when its done. nothing salvageable unfortunately.........
