:jump: seriously..... in two pac .. i think roughly depending who u go to ..anywhere from 650 to a 900 as your doing all the work.. or if u can find a little asian backyarder that doesnt speak english all that well like i know of and he'll do it for 400 lol :freak: thats just a rough idea. . i'm not 100% cluey on this kinda of stuff .. but last i remember anyways it was around that mark .. i think
  2. i think the consensus is .. well in my mind anyways.... if u put solid lifter spec cams into a hydralic cam lifter engine ur bound to have problems... although the guys with the most problems that have been discussedare basically amatuers (no offence to them at all .. at least they tried)... they did the swap themselves at home. Only one guy that i know of Waz from over here in Vic with he;s R32 has got he;s to work .. i;ve seen it ..apart from it running overly advanced timing. it still pulls. .. majority more mid range than anything else. myself.. hopefully when i start my new engine build .. i will have my GTR cams "hydraulic'd" aka reground so that its "spec" for hydraulic lifters.. just as a safety precaution and longevity. Anyways basically if ur wanting to do this .. i cant really stress it enough that u get it done professionally. Cheers Matt
  3. sounds like the same problem i have on my GTSx Coupe too ..... ive been thinking to remove some of the hoses and fittings and getting new washers.. but that could be just wasting my time and money. i'll keep an eye on this post. i'll pm ya if i have any news on getting mine sorted too. Matt
  4.  i' wont go there ... ........ Nice work ... pics would be handy.... .. this same setup could double as a water injection setup on the turbo side too ...use soda water .. double oxygen content. Matt
  5. yea .. thats what i was told too ..... my car started when factory stock at 7psi and came up to 10 with a zorst and pod ....and ppl have always said silvertops were 10psi out of the factory.
  6. any idea if these are still applicable to a import R31 ? just wondering. .. would be pretty interested other wise Matt
  7. farkin impressive man ..thats nuts
  8. see if u can get teh complaince done for 6500 .. its only a grand for r31 coupes .. i paid 8000 for mine about 8months ago now. havent got around to manualizing it yet ..as its really easier said than done. plus i just cant be ****d doing it at the moment .. power mods b4 forking out dollars for good clutch setups. good luck with the buy dude.. sounds like a good one ..sounds like mine .. grandma grandpa shopping trolley ..original down to the mats and seats Matt
  9. hmm interesting .... i netted 21kw gain from just a 3inch zorst and K&N pod on my Redtop ole school HR31 coupe.Rb20DET.. i started off with just 95rwkw and with the mods i;ve done ..116 .. but by "SOP" feel i think has a little bit more ..since i was having misfire on optimax higher in teh rev range..the "plateau" .. although it still runs rich at top end now on ultimate.. it keeps pulling towards 6500 rather than farting and carrying on like b4 on optimax.. strangely my 1/4mile "gtech" times stated.. i dont trust this as gospel thats for sure.. but 15.9 at 92mph. it is an auto matic slushbox also. i have a cooler going on soon ..gtr cams , cam gears - GTR injectors and Walbro pump, an AVCR and possibly a T04 sometime next year along with aftermarket management. (still weighting up on building a fresh motor to slot in with the turbo rather than kill the stocker 16year ole donk) specially coping 18 to 20 psi on shoot out mode. my goal would be to make 200rwkw ..do u reckon it should be possible with all that? sorry to hijak :S Matt
  10. dang ... wish i had some more money consider a swap for a Hr31 coupe and cash difference? not geniunely serious .. but i thought i'd throw this in..
  11. yes they fit .. i know of a few cars getting around with r32 front pipes on board. go for it
  12. interesting results.... although i always have been under the impression that exhaust runners that are tuned length jobs always outperform the standard .. suppose that goes without saying really. as u really want the gas to arrive at the turbo at the same time .. helping spool up and reponsiveness. basically?? if these so called "tuned length" aussie designs were tuned length the results would show .. obviously they dont know what there doing then?? might give one of these china manifolds a go eventually. anyways. pity they dont have them for external gated setups.
  13. i reckon these would be the go .. but for 1395 .. u'd want them to be....
  14. FARKIN HELL MAN .. thts impressive .. Knife edging a crank for a GTR ... jesus ..they rev hard as it is .... being involved and around speedway all my life (hoping to have one done for my holden 6cyl sometime for next seasons engine)..this shit is pretty common .. but in a road going GTR .. far out .. all the best with it ..look forward to the results!! .. just hope it doesnt go bang on ya? u thought about cross drilling it as well? .. hell while your at it .. go a dry sump setup!! if thats what ur looking to do ..free up the crank from oil "weight" Cheers Matt
  15. yea i'm keen .. sounds farking good to me too... R31 Coupe - RB20DET ........ should be the same as anyone elses .. i should think .. For 100bucks shit ..we'll be laughin Matt
  16. suppose the ole saying comes in .. "You Get what you Pay For" although they look like most of the other aftermarket manifolds out there .... interesting. Matt
  17. only going on what my m8 said .. he was at technik the same day ... seems to be far too much hype around that thing .... and more often than not its sitting at Nismo Performance workshop all the time .... dont thing its turned a wheel in anger just yet ...if its anything its cracked up to be .. it should be a weapon .. i just wish Fred Bruno wouldnt hype it up so much ....
  18. that s15 from oh performance was at technik last week or so ...made 380 at the rear wheels ....and that was about it. 1000hp at the wheel i dont think the turbo can support that much can it? that over 1300hp at the flywheel or near abouts. Chops M8 just chops. Matt
  19. http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003web-catalogu...haft-specs.html hope that helps Matt
  20. is the HKS T4 Manifold for 495 the same as the one in the T04 Kit? Matt also the greedy manifold for the T3 flanged turbo ..does that have provisions for external gate as well?
  21. dyno results could of been out due to the over powering clouds of smoke from smokemachines ppl had going .. the chitches seriously.... lol
  22. apologies Dave .. someone mentiond oil ..flames .. and on the vid .. i wasnt actually there ..not much to my knowledge was said about nos "backing up" on this post ..until after my remarks.. anyways... .. i just assumed it was something more .... although it wasnt really up in the revs at the time... with your nos setup its basically on a ON OFF switch .. not like momentary or anything that u can physically hold down? and can i ask how many bar of boost do u run to make the big figures ? anyways regardless of that ..tough car ..good to hear no other damage and congrats on the trophy...look forward to seeing it haul ass into the 9's .. and take back that autosalon crown (whoever buys it thats if u still sell it) Later Matt
  23. if it was "only intercooler hosing blowing off and cracking the aluminium pipiing.. then WTF was the flash of spark? and then oil .. me things number 5 rod and piston thru block.
  24. depends what trim it is though .. thats the only think i'm concerned about on this bolt on kit Matt
