  1. i just got a reply from Stryder Performance. to melbourne i was quoted 545US landed. bout 725AUD. perhaps u got yours mixed up with the 550AUD landed price.. coz i cant see it costing 13US bucks to you in sydney even at 395US. anyways.. not to worry.. not my point of my post. did u have any other issues fitting it ...have u got any pics of the factory parts fitted back up asides from teh throttle body. thanks Matt

Standard turbo ....... then later standard VG30 turbo at 1bar. lost power basically coz of the excessive leak it had .... had the splitter i made in between.. but not enough. by plumbing it up .. it gave the exhaust a more positive direct for flow .... screamer helping scavenge the air more from the back of the turbo while the gate opens...... it was holding 1bar right to red line till it spat the front oil seal about a month ago and did some ringland damage as well, i believe .... hasnt seen the street since unfortunately. new motor soon though.
  3. just FYI for steveL here ....... Z31 5stud rear hubs have been used in HR31s for MANY a conversion........ the R31house machined hubs which are about 750 a pair ..... hands down make the Z31 a cheaper option if u can find the c**ts.
  4. ive seen the light with internal gated screamers...... i gained power by plumbing it back up....... it also helped me clear my EPA notice too.... split is the way to go .. no doubt about it screamers are fun, i loved the WTF expression id get when u'd open it up..... but robbed me of a fair bit of power........wont go back to screamer unless i have an external gate .. and 2 3/4 pipe sticking off it

  6. i run a vg30 turbo on my rb20 redtop.....makes 160rwkw with an auto and 1bar. cost me 150bucks. pickd up 40rwkw from teh standard shitter.
  7. just wait for the big head of steam at 6000rpm upwards ..compared to hte lack luster drop off of a standard turbo ur always going to be a little bit behind with the auto ..... but u wouldnt of stayed auto this long like i have if u didnt mind that to start with.
  8. if its on your car already and running ...... its pretty easy to work out if its a DET version.. she wont make full boost to around 4000rpm laggy sons of bitches on the 20s..... but great fun i reckon. some where steel wheeled.. in the earlier Leopards and 300zx's .... most of the later ones are ceramic rear..... 15psi would be safe amount to run without leaning too hard on the motor or the turbo if either of the 2 arent in 100% working condition. OP6 on teh rear housing is what u gotta spot before u cough up bills for turbo. mine cost me 150bucks....lol few months of boost .. freed it up and it stopped making shitty bearing noises..... but gives me the impression its bush not ball bearing'd Matt

  11. those arent r34 gt t calipers dude. look more like r33.....unless they are somehow different in the mounting position?
  12. o2 sensor will die a orrible death, avgas is no longer lead base...... its lead free..... the octane level has dropped quite alot since the removal of lead .. i think its down to like 104 or something.... where it used to be aaround 115 in the early 80s and 90s. ur really not going to see much of a gain ....even by tuning it ... ur not going to run avgas everyday.... and for 180cents a litre u might as well run methonal and water injection.

  19. no one has a pic of one installed..... coz looking at the HPi install pics ...i couldnt quite see how the internal gate goes back into the exhaust? coz they say they used the dump pipe they have to suit on the install.

  21. as is says. i do not want R32 GTR rotors. must be R33 GTSt 296x30 if u have a pair..... speak up. most i'll pay is 80bucks posted.. depending on condition. im in melbourne.. so vic seller would be more ideal. thanks Matt

  23. yea your m8s correct.. u'll probably gain a more constant 10psi thru the rev range .. but u could invest ina r32 rb20 turbo actuator instead...... either way its naturally gaining boost as u remove restriction with the exhaust. leave it for now .. save for a front mount.. then see where your boost sits when u fit that..
