  6. i thought ball bearing is standard on most if not ALL RB series turbo. as was 10psi....coz thats teh wastegate actuator is rated at. there should be any in and out for ball bearing with no fluid ..... far as i know. my r31 turbo is ball bearing ..has no in out or any side to side and has done nearly 175,000kms

  8. mine now sits on a 12:1 ratio ...pickd up nearly 100km's to a tank at the same time........ my car was stupidly rich before.... AFR's would bottom out on the graph under 10:1 under WOT. Previously i had issues with fouling plugs......must be a redtop ecu thing.... coz they are just too rich. 12:1 is were u should be at John.. leaning it out is probably going to ask for pinging. had mine "quick tuned" at ICE on the dyno day within the space of 3 runs it pickd up 30rwkw mid range... .. was basically just to bring the AFRs up till i take it back with this bigger turbo now on it.

  10. ahh ok sweet so i should be enteering lag city shortly. the exhaust housing as OP6 on it but the compressor has 45V2 on itand the 25 elbow fits on it nicely. is it late model RB25 Neo ? maybe latmodel VG30DET... Matt
  11. Tried to search but came up bust. Quick question as to how much shaft play is acceptable. Side to side there will be some movement...when there is no fluid in the turbo. what im really wondering about is how much IN and OUT movement is acceptable if any at all. reason is that im about to swap my turbo for a larger RB25 ...but im perdantic *spelling* about how much play it has. So say it has f**k all.. but to me ..if it has any it cant be good? say less than 1mm thanks heaps Matt

  13. Bump Fingers crossed on the sale, dude. Guys, This is one awesome piece of machine.. Xenon's or not motor alone and its potential at this price should say enough. Its an animal to say the least having been co pilot on a few occasions. In Shootout Mode at 1.2 bar... so plenty more left in it.
  14. nope. coz as soon as they ramp the power up it kicks back to 2nd anyways..unless u have it manualized.. they'll always do it in 2nd gear for the autos. .... and they seem to strap them down harder than teh manual cars.. coz apparently the auto (car itself) can jump on the dyno from time to time. autos are the ghey... too much drivetrain loss thru slippage. .. thats just my personal opinion but.

Nates was the 4dr with white rims... i honestly didnt think my car was that loud till i hear it from the outside sorta happy with the end result 124.9rwkw .. in shootout mode. seeing its just turned over 202000kms. was a great day. nice to meet some new ppl with the same passion modified cars..... Bit worried when the cops rocked up. lol Matt

  19. yea VG30DETT ...... TT m8 .. not T being they are the smaller version.... just look at the compressor and exhaust housing sizes.. they are TINY as. VG30DET .. which i have to my left right now has OP6 on the exhaust housing .. casted onto it. and the Comp housing as Nissan and 45V2 where as yours has garret and the exhaust housing .. going by the pics on NS.com .... is FAR smaller again than the SR/CA turbos youve ripped this poor bloke off.... make things right man.

  24. thanks ash .i wasnt sure if the turbo was actually rotatable without any sealing issues or something like that. i assume your talkin about the return side using a 90deg? u wouldnt happen to have any pics of your old 25 set up would u? coz it would be pretty much teh same Scribble... no idea whats its made out of ... i'm assuming steel or some kind... stainless i dunno .. its HPC coated. i bought it from a m8 ..who had an original promo car from fred gibson...paid a good penny for it .. but i dont want to say.
