Just having a bit of thinking process on how the turbo will work boltd up to my new manifold. originally this manifold had a T3 under it .. so oil feeds were in the correct positions. if that makes sense. what im getting at is ..if i fit a ball bearing turbo ..which are suited to the Rb25/20 bolt up arrangement. the oil feed will be on teh side and the return pointing into the block. is it possible to rotate the housings .. so that the oil feeds thru from the top ..like they do from factory.....at home without going to a turbo "expert" to have it done by "expert" hands. without any issues? believe they call this "clocking" a turbo. any ideas guys? thanks heaps yes .. this is a gibson motorsport turbo manifold.   2. import maxima..... is a Cefiro dude..... 2litre .. 6cyl ... RB20 Rb25 turbo ......by fitting a cooler u wont actualy gain a large amount if anything directly from the bolt on of the FMIC.. but u will gain power once u turn the boost up. next thing to do would be to buy a boost controller if u havent got one already.. electronic one... or look at getting a fuel computer of some sort and have it tuned.   4. too f..ken much!!!! here is my recent purchase for my build up.. overkill for my goals.. but hell they are sex all over! i probably paid a bit too much for em .. even with the HPC coat.. but finding them alone.. and for sale was enough. http://outlawconnection.com/angryaussie/sig/r31/P4030009.jpg is it an ex GTSr fred gibson motorsport one. apparently..... they flowed the same as the standard manifold.. but in split pulse to help spool up. pretty much the same idea as the GTSR. gains of around 25rwkw was typical, bolt on.
  5. and i have a curve ball i recently bought another turbo. fairly certain its VG30 .. later model. OP6 on the housing. very stumpy looking dump pipe but the compressor has 45V4 on it. seems pretty large from the measurements. just thought i'd throw that up.

  9. 4agze 81mm doesnt exactly give u the full monty RB24 .. its more RB23 .... 82mm Tomei .... must be gold plated inside for the price.. .... pistons....will get u a more truer rb24..... but for the price... 800cc or so more for 1900bucks .. or 680 for 2sets of 4 toyota pistons from factory new. (340 a set) .. isnt worth stressin about. machine costs are the bigger issue .. and head work to suit the combustion chambers to suit the new bore. i got over going rb24.... going Rb25.... cheaper.   12. i got a response from him yesterday..... doesnt stock internal gated T3 turbos..... but finding out about external stuff shortly. i think he'll find he's way to this post shortly.. coz he ask where i found out about his details.

  17. f*ck paying 550 .. let alone 400 for a split dump .. i bought one that was 2.5 for 150bucks..... got back 70bucks coz it was a shit job and just didnt fit and i rebuilt it with 3inch ..and 1.5 wastegate side still for under 150bucks. refer to the link below http://outlawconnection.com/angryaussie/si.../Image(084).jpg got quoted by xhaust shop for one 330 if i supplied the flange for the turbo. .... neva bothered finding out about getting one .. but i wwanna make another one shortly. coz the o2 isnt in the position i would of prefered. but it hasnt failed me yet.   18. pretty sure its irrelavent anyways..... its law that the driver/ owner of the vehicle is to fit a cat that meets emissions. .. if the results are in favour of one being more legal than the other... whats the other company going to do ... pay out ppls EPA fines coz a cat that doesnt comply or reemburst them for a product they bought from them? ..... highly doubtful for either suggestions my 2c

  20. been trying to use the search button to find topics i read before the swap to this current format but .. it doesnt want to help me at all try for yourselves..... try searching for GTR Camshafts or something with a engine number ie ";RB25 with GTR Camshafts" in the topic and it doesnt find anything but an error. will this be fixed? coz its pointless if u cant search for soemthing when the moderators make the "use the search button its been covered many times" comment.   22. having hoses vent to air will probably cause idle issues as well ....get pulled up and the cops will do you, straight thru your pants.
  23. i like your idea of buying a 2nd motor and pulling the shagged one out .. cheapest way to stay on the road.... if your inclinedto stay rb20 .. spendmoney on pistons .... and head work ....should be nice then that was u that was smsing me wasnt it? bout the rb24? not going that route anymore?
