Hi everyone, Up for sale is my brand new Garrett Gtx3071r turbo. It has a .82 v-band rear, t3 footprint, also genuine garrett. Still in original packaging. I bought it for my M35 stagea but unfortunately I've got to sell the car and have no need for the turbo any longer. Purchased November 29 last year from Pac Performance is Sydney. I paid extra for the t3 gasket and V-band clamp, also included. Asking for $1600, turbo is still covered by warranty. See attatched image Located in Sydney area, can post at buyers expense. Please P.M if interested. Thanks -Dave

Nm35 - Problems With Engine Starting
DaveM35 replied to cabbie_bro's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
nup, once they go, they go -
Update: Hi everyone, any of you that may be interested in owning this setup, please feel free to send me an offer. However obscene they may be, worst that can happen is I politely decline. If it seems expensive, I paid exactly $2000 for this back in December, so I'm not trying to take the piss with the pricing. I'm keen to sell asap, so please, if you're keen to own it, let's make magic happen.

so...how much do you want to spend if you're tempted?

^ best advices! A uni socket is very helpful with everything, o2 sensor on dump is 22mm but you may have to try a shortish shifter and pray it doesn't round if you can't get the 22 spanner to squeeze in. Swivel head 3/8 ratchet and swivel ratchet spanners also make it easier if you can borrow some off someone

Nm35 - Problems With Engine Starting
DaveM35 replied to cabbie_bro's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Sounds like the cam sensors, I've not had the problem but few other guys here have and should be able to help you out, normally when it takes ages to start its the cam sensors or maybe crank sensor. Could also be AFM or even fuel pump dying. You'd need a proper scan to see what the fault says -
We're kind of talking in circles with this... I feel sorry for you that you forked out a lot of money for it and it never worked good, that's the risk we take buying second hand stuff. Now the only way you might ever get it to work is by doing what Scotty said and adding something else (piggyback ecu) that can adjust your maps. But we've suggested that several times before. What you would like to happen and what needs to happen seem like different things, in not trying to be harsh bro, really I feel bad for you but that is keeping it plain and simple.

Hi guys, Just wanted to post up here that I'm selling my f-con with the original HKS vq25det harness. All details are in the classifieds section, but yeah just wanted to get some exposure in case someone wants it but misses the ad. Reasonable offers considered, please PM me with any questions, thanks guys.

Hey thanks a lot Scotty, yeah very regrettable sale but I guess it is what it is! Would have loved to see the project through and see how the car ended up. ECU does not come with software or dongle, I'm just selling it as I bought it. I was working with Chris aka Footo's tuner in Perth to get it set up. He is very helpful and knowledgable in regards to setting up F-Cons, so i'd recommend him to anyone running one or wanting to run one. Also he can supply everything needed to make it work, software, dongles, sensors etc for very reasonable prices.

Hi guys, Unfortunately there's been lots of changes in my life recently and it means I will regrettably need to sell the Stagea. So up for sale is my F-Con Vpro, version 3.24. It has the factory VQ25det matching harness so will plug straight in to your M35. I bought this before christmas and have not had a chance to install it yet. Price is $2000 firm, the harness is near impossible to get now and this is still the best known ECU upgrade for any modded stagea. P.M if you're interested. Thanks everyone -Dave

Lambchop With A Renault Axis Here...
DaveM35 replied to WAGON_BOY's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
If the airflow meter goes whilst driving it normally just goes straight into limp mode, but doesn't stall. That was my experience anyway. Maybe a dodgy cam sensor? Or fuel pump? Would be easy to check if you can get a gauge. -
Fyi For M35 Owners With Aftermarket Bov
DaveM35 replied to Equilibrise's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I checked mine by squeezing all along the hose with pliers and couldn't find a restrictor, hose definitely looks factory. It's an Axis so maybe it's not on every model? Mine hardly stutters since I stiffened up the spring rate, it was heaps softer than the stock one before so I set it as close to the same as I could gauge and it made a big improvement with stuttering. Just in case anyone else is looking for other ways to possibly improve the feel. -
An early opening thermostat won't cause overheating or coolant loss, so it's not crucial to change it anyway. If there was a lot of rusty coloured water and or scale your rad was most likely not efficient anymore. Might not be a total fix for your probs but good idea getting it serviced anyway.

M35 Stutter When Comming Off Boost (Bov?)
DaveM35 replied to Beregron's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
My GFB Bov has same issues, but it was barely noticeable on the highway with a tighter spring setting, I backed it off the other day (softer) and it was so much shitter. Just reinstalled my stock one after about 1yr with the GFB and it's SO much nicer to drive even if it boosts a tiny bit slower. I'll probably put the aftermarket one back on after f-con tune. -
Could it just be overheating and pumping coolant/steam out the overflow? Might be just a thermostat if you haven't eliminated that already. See if you can get those test strips to check for compression gasses in your coolant. Also is your water pump flowing well, when you rev the engine with cap off radiator you should see the coolant flowing not just sitting still. Radiator may also be starting to block up.
-
What about your heater core? If you ever smell coolant in the cabin or notice stains on the carpets around the footwells, could be that. Can get over looked during pressure tests because they dont always cause big enough pressure drops when they first start to go.

I love the bodykit, wish I had that kit, looks like a takero. Good luck with the sale

But we're not driving race cars man...or even sports cars. They're big and heavy and are never going to make huge power or handle like a Porsche. I think Scott is the only one with a built auto, everyone else seems to get by pretty fine with the stock one and the common power upgrades. I think it's about negligible gains, what you'd have to invest time & money wise to make it manual would still leave you with a big heavy car with a small engine that gets whipped by lots of cheaper performance cars. Then you'd miss the ease of the auto for daily trips. Each to their own anyway but yeah can't see it becoming a popular conversion.

They look great, you still going to make more?
-
Did that come with the axis wreck? I did want to get one of them. Hahaha dildos
-
Hahaha I was actually going to say that, maybe I can use the other two for a mini soy sauce and sushi rolls and I've got lunch sorted.
-
They look so awesome and I want them...but I'll never be able to check how green my leaf is again. So I'm torn. I've got a boost gauge smashed in the drivers side dash vent hole, but soon I'll need another place to put the a/f gauge, what should I get for the 3rd pod hole?
