Off topic but what do you mean tuning options Nick? Pretty sure we do ecu tunes for them at my work, or piggyback modules depending on what's available. We do heaps of VW mk5/6 stuff, even the dsg can be tuned for sportier performance.
-
Has anyone recently had access to your car/keys like a workshop? Unless they had a tow truck or a set of keys it would be hard to steal.
-
Bro I get heartbroken whenever I see the stolen threads on here. There's been a fair few recently. Hopefully it gets spotted soon. Any pics you can post that might help?
-
Good luck mate, let us know how you go.
-
Yeah it'd be good if you could clear the code just to make sure it wasn't a one off thing. O2 sensor faults normally clear themselves after a few cycles if it's not a permanent fault anyway.
-
Try get them to swap the sensor and if that doesn't fix it, it'll probably have to be welded back in stock location. What else could it be? Unless you've developed a mixture changing fault that's unrelated to your new exhaust at the exact same time as getting your new exhaust. Sensors are pretty simple but better to stick to stock locations. Maybe the flow and pressure in the pipe has changed too much to give it good readings where it's mounted now.
-
Yeah you'd need a scan tool to reset engine adaptions. If you clear the code maybe the ecu will correct itself before it stores again anyway. I've never heard of anyone having this problem on an m35.

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?/topic/261557-Ecu-Fault-Codes---The-Easy-Way%21 I've never posted a link to another topic so not sure that will work but the ecu reset is detailed here, if my link doesn't work try search function Could you access the actual O2 bung on the new exhaust to check sensor tightness? My stock one is pretty much impossible to get to without a crows foot spanner bit or without dropping the gearbox crossmember all way down till you can fit a spanner up there. It's probably not an issue but maybe last resort check Ecu reset sounds like best idea, go from there I reckon.
-
Yeah but broz the stockie one doesn't make it do the hectic shhhhtututuuuu when I'm dosin' it around my streetz ain't nothin sicker. It's worth almost head butting the steering wheel before the power kicks back in.
-
You got an AXIS yeah? Don't think our cars would throw a CEL from the O2 due to cats since the only O2 is upstream of them. Maybe it wasn't screwed in tight enough and it's getting bad readings or maybe it was unplugged or wire got damaged during the install. Did you fit it yourself? I've seen loose ones on other cars cause engine lights so I'd try check that or visual check the wiring to it.

It's not really about not driving like a dickhead, and watching the traffic. Full comp is best for when the doucher that isn't watching traffic or is driving like a dickhead runs up your ass so hard your car is close to written off and he gets out and goes "f@$k mate I got no insurance" Then you're screwed without it. This happens heaps. If you don't value your car enough to get it fair enough, I've never bothered going full comp with anything worth less than $10k.

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
DaveM35 replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Did 80k service + fitted my de-cat/ed dump pipe. Pretty surprised at how much better it goes, can only imagine how good it would be with a proper aftermarket one. Now have to install wideband O2 to the front pipe, then it's ready for tuning -

I like it Rudi, something different/unique. Do you have a black roof? I couldn't tell from pic but it would look mad with wrapped gloss black roof -

Wtb: Stock M35 Dump Pipe
DaveM35 replied to DaveM35's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I bought Steve's one and I've been bashing the cat outta it every night after work since Monday, not a great job really but it's happening. So Stealth I can also offer to send mine once it's swapped over if you get stuck but yeah they are pretty weighty. That's after the first drill + chisel treatment, much closer to clear now, hopefully by sunrise tomorrow will be clear and on the car! -

M35 Nismo Ecu Low Idle And Stalling
DaveM35 replied to Lakes101's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Ask Scotty if he knows a way to adjust base idle from a grub screw in the throttle body, not sure ours has that option but if he does he'd know it. -
M35 Nismo Ecu Low Idle And Stalling
DaveM35 replied to Lakes101's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Lol sorry mate didn't mean to sound like a dick! I know brick was selling it and he's a top bloke. Did he have issues running it in his car? Think he said it was a bit rich... When we do tunes on cars at work, whether it be a re-flash or a piggyback module, if they do what your car is doing, we always send the tuning file back and keep trying till we get a good one, or we send the module back under warranty. The point I was trying to make was, if you changed absolutely nothing else on your car except the nismo ecu and it started stalling, it's very likely an ecu problem. -

I'll see if Pac will give me a trade with cash adjustment, I could have chose the v inlet when I bought the turbo but I didn't look into your one enough. It's still in box so I reckon they will help me out. -
Wtb: Stock M35 Dump Pipe
DaveM35 replied to DaveM35's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
So pretty much I'm going to have to sell the t3 rear and get a dual v-band. Yeah... That'll have to wait a while I reckon. For now just want to get the car running on the fcon. -

DaveM35 replied to DaveM35's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Ah I see...we'll I'm pretty strapped for cash at the moment but can you pm me a list of what you'd sell and how much? The only prob I'd have using your old stuff is that the rear housings are different, so the wastegate section and flange part won't work. I haven't gotten deep enough into the job yet to see if I can force the t3 rear in there somehow, and if that'll mean all pipe work will be slightly different to your setup.
