    So, say it was a 3076 what is a safe level of boost to run at constantly? I've been told all I need is a stiffer waste gate spring and I can run 21psi, would that be too much for the turbo to handle long term?

    Must be a 3076 then because I definitely remember 0.6x a/r on the comp housing

    Hmmm not sure, it does scream when spooling but it's my first turbo car so can't really compare.

    Damn, ok. I was hoping there would be a quick solution without pulling the turbo off. Oh well, thanks heaps for the quick replies.

    Morning gurus, I bought a skyline 12 months ago and the owner said he changed the turbo, I can't remember whether he said it was a 3071 or 3076. How do I tell the difference? It's internally gated if that helps (although I believe either can be internally gated?). I thinks it says 0.67 a/r on the turbo itself. Any help would be great. Cheers

    Apparently those cops were only directing traffic. I can't remember whether it was top gear or a car meet but apparently only one person got defected, he was driving an S15 40mm off the ground and decided to give it a boot full near the cops, asking for trouble! Fingers crossed if there is cops they aren't arses and that people act sensible.
