  1. no, this is planned for friday week. so the 21st.
  2. Hey all, As far as I know from a SilviaWA standpoint...there is a combined cruise next Friday night. From what I can see here, there is no mention of it...are you lads still coming along? Mat
  3. I did a lot of calling around when it came time to fitting my koni shocks to my s14. Most expensive was WA suspensions be far - they were double the price of anyone else...I am not exaggerating either. Wilkinsons and C-red were the same price, actually, I think C-red were a little cheaper. I ended up getting C-Red to fit the gear and I am happy with the job they did. If I was getting an alignment done, I would probably go to Wilkinsons. Wheelsworld are good too I have heard, John always has time to sit down and explain everything about what you need to you in very plain terms.
  4. Through c-red/filter supplies - AFAIK, they are the only Nippon Micro dealer in Perth.
  5. No worries Macka - just wanted to clarify to those out there who didn't know that you were pulling a figure out of your a$$ that C-Red do not charge $500 for a service. Hell, if any workshop charged that for a regular service, I would be walking out the door and never returning again!
  6. Macka, I know many people that have had servicing done at c-red...and they repeatedly go there. None of them have been charged $500 for a service. $150 ish (more than likely less) would be around the price
  7. Ohhh so not a once off incident. Hopefully you won't be using that machining shop anymore. Unbelieveable that they can stuff up that much when it comes to something as simple as machining.
  8. Bad machining hey... bugger. So what was machined badly that made the engine pop? Must be an expensive exercise...do speedworks get insurance for that kind of stuff or can claim it against who did the machining?
  9. XRW - what happened to the 34? Blow an engine?
  10. Dude, compression test is quick and easy...pay for it if you have to as the $20 you pay may save you big $$$$ down the track.
  11. Kym I would say that your warranty claim is within your rights, provided that: a) the problems were existant prior to you going to the Plex B) these problems were noted/faxed to the dealer/mechanic prior to going to the Plex. Anything that went wrong after the plex, well, bad luck. If the above 2 points are true, go for it, don't hold back. Mat
  12. What about in the twisties lads? Throw in a few corners? How are your Skyline's then? Should chop most Oz made cars surely... Straight line speed whilst fun, is no where near as much fun an hard cornering!
  13. Did you guys ever see CPR? That car has misaligned panels and big dodgy gaps everywhere...and this was supposedly a bit of "master" work from Fibercrap. I have never seen a car from there that looked schmick. The S14 at PAS was not too bad though, mind you, I did not get a chance to have a real close look at it.
  14. true true, I was one of the participants, those courses were very tight, but great for getting the arse-end out...and when you have people cheering you on, you can only go harder! Ahhh well, should be interesting to see how "Tour D'Max" goes...
  15. Ummmm, cars go fast, they have tyres, tyres leave black marks when driven hard, like in motorsport! Don't worry Ken, I saw your driving and I was impressed yet again by your ability to hold a car in a controlled sideways slide! In my opinion, if you can't drive at 10/10ths, it is not worth doing! And PAS wasn't so much a debarcle, sure some rubber was left down, but it's a car show!!! People don't want to see driving Miss Daisy! :shake:
  16. Are you a bankwest employee Joe?
  17. Who works at BankWest Tower? I work at BankWest Tower, lots girlies here :-p
  18. Hey dude. I am thinking about giving my turbo-timer the heave ho. Not that it doesn't do the job, I just don't want to have a turbo timer anymore, I much prefer being with the car when it is running :-) If you are interested, it is a Pivot Full-Auto Timer. I won't be removing it for a few weeks but when I do, it will be for sale. Cheers
  19. as I said, the time it ran is below its actual potential. On SST it made 219hp at the wheels, with afr's in the 11's, so there is some room there for tuning. According to Grant (Per4manz) and Steve (SST), the car is capable of 12.7 based on weight and hp/torque output. Hope that satisfy's you.
  20. If you chose to buy from Evo-R, be prepared to wait. My mate was promised that his exhaust would be 3 weeks to get in, that was about 3 months ago
  21. It has been down the 1/4, recorded a 13.6. Unfortunately has not been able to do the times it is able to because he was having FMIC pipes blowing off due to dodgy hose clamps, these have now been changed however :-)
  22. Check this out! Silvia for sale :burnout:
  23. I am with 25GTT on this one. Jawid at Westate is a top bloke, how do I know, well he is a family friend of mine, has been for about 15 years. He does great prices and good work. They are just off Newscastle St. Tell him Mat sent ya!
  24. Yep! Good luck!
  25. Vacuum hose dude, you can buy it from Marlows/repco, any automotive parts store.
