Guys, I've never taken my car on the track before; is an event like this suitable for absolute beginners or can anyone recommend something else that would be more appropriate?
Hi Guys,
I am selling my Willall midpipe that was used for approx 2000-3000kms. Not long after installing it I bought a full exhaust system which is why this is for sale.
It is in fantastic condition with no damage etc. Link for more info here http://www.willallracing.com.au/gtrexhaust.htm#midpipe
I am located on the Sunshine Coast Qld and can assist with freight etc.
Price $590.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
I drove past a white 35 today on Eumundi Noosa Rd. First time I've seen another 35 whilst driving my own..... I did a u-turn and a nice white R33 GTS-T went by. I caught up and had a quick run with the 2 guys the 33. Looked like it was in great nick and sounded good too. It was the best Saturday arvo drive to Dan Murphy's I've had in ages
I saw a gun metal grey 09/10 in Maleny on Thursday morning - 2nd time I've seen this car in Maleny on a Thursday morning. A nice exhaust note as he drove off too...
I'm thinking that the most impressive feature of the GTR is that it can do what it does so easily. For other cars to compete they need to be stripped and highly modified and then yes they are raw and challenging compared to the sedate GTR. The same GTR that can go to the shops and drop the kids off at school with ease. If you want a raw and loud GTR you are then in another league again.....
You might need four R35s for that job - that is unless the other 3 really are "boys" ie. very small. I tried recently to fit 2 mates in mine (as passengers) and it was just impossible.
I'm confused.... so I can use a helmet that meets AS 1698?
What is the difference with this and AS/NZ 1698:2006? I have googled but can't find info on what the difference is.
Thanks guys - I'm also very keen!
No, because I'm a lazy bastard. My next 2 weekends are pretty full but the one after that.....I can see a late night in my garage with some music and plenty of alcohol to keep the enthusiasm going. I hope I don't make a mess of things!
From all reports on the UK thread, they reckon it's very worthwhile. I will definitely report back here - give me 3 weeks....
I'm in too.
I just read the thread on the other forum and feel totally gutted for the family....so tragic! Definitely very motivating to wanting to be a part of this day.
Man that's a bit rough!! Can't you R35 owners in Sydney share and appreciate the passion for these great cars and make some guy's special day just that bit more special?? ,,,,,all security and safety issues aside of course.
