how much is too much shaft play? I have a Garrett GCG 450hp turbo on my R33 and it has just started making a light metalic grind noise when spinning, it only happened after the major service! (timing belt, waterpump and new tomei cams!......what could it be? took off the intake pipe and the front shaft had a little play in it? how much is too much ......? also so what has to be fixed to get it all sweet again. My turbo is only a 2 years old and has been lucky to see 5000km on it! not happy!
