hello,
I have a stock standard rb25, just catback.
cpl days ago i got an rb20 wastegate actuator from mate at work. fitted and removed boost solenoid. test drive and hit approx 14-15pound!
soooo... my assumption was, probably not original actuator for that rb20. the boost spike resulted in a missfire- spark
so I put it back to original actuator and connected the boost solenoid, fine for a few days, now today the mmhg stock gauge is reading almost 500mmhg, which i beleive is almost 10pound.
and it has a slight miss past 5,000rpm.
So i have a few questions.
did the boost spike stuff one of my coilpacks???
why is it now running 10pound? (it sits on 7pound until 5,000rpm and then creeps up to 10 for the remainder of the rev range) but i cant remember if this is normal....
did i connect the boost solenoid incorrectly??? if so , how come it was behaving itself for a few days???
I do however recall a small hairline crack on the plug for cylinder 6 and has this progressed to larger??? possible
anyway.
Could someone throw a couple suggestions my way. If anyone has a stock rb25 running stock boost solenoid could they advise the fitment, (from which pipe to which nozzle etc) I cant see how it would make a difference but anyway...
thanks
