Replacing panel with VIN number on it
coopeR32 replied to coopeR32's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I know a few importers through work so I will ask if this is something they can offer. -

This was a thought but I don’t think stamping it yourself is aloud with the authorities. But I will ask the question and the other issue is you can’t buy stamps in that font and size. These would have to be made and they would be expensive to do so. -

I sure plan on doing lots of homework before cutting anything. It’s my car and I’m ow it’s not dodgy but I’m still freaked out doing it -

I’m definitely getting 1 of these from Frenchys. I didn’t know anyone was reproducing them -
Hi people, I have an R32 GTR that has been sitting since 2006. I’m about to start a resto on it. The panel where the blue I.D tag and the factory stamped vin will need to be replaced due to rust. The new panel will not have the vin stamp in it, will this cause issue with getting it rego again. I have all the sales invoices and old rego papers for it in my name.

R32 GTR rolling shell or non rolling shell, W.A only
coopeR32 replied to coopeR32's topic in Wanted to Buy
This one is not for me. I want to strip it and modify it and do silly stuff with it. Yours would be more suited for a resto project. Thanks for the reply -
Looking to purchase an R32 GTR shell. Prefer non accident damage car but will consider all options. Must be able to be registered or have import paper work. Car needs to be located in Western Australia

Hi guys, I'm trying to confirm and track down These wheels in 18x10 to suit an R32 GTR. I have owned a set in 17x9.5 Which seems to be more common. If anyone has these wheels for sale i would love to hear from you. As long as they aren't cracked or buckeled i would be interested.

Cams To Suit Rb26/30 Using 2X Garrett 2871 Turbos
coopeR32 replied to coopeR32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Dose anyone know if different ramp rates are available for an rb26 cams??? -
I'm gathering up the parts needed for my 26/30 combo and i'm starting to think about my choices for cams. The engine is a street based motor with some track days in mind. I'm really looking for response and mid range over outright peak power. Are stock RB26 cams enough for a 3ltr? Do i go for more exhaust duration than inlet, or short duration with high lift or a combo of both. I do have some specs for Gr.A cams somewhere would these be a suitable option. Lost in a world of cam options and looking for help

Rb30Det Lower Tensioner Casting Prob
coopeR32 replied to 24TKman's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
looks like both tensioners above the water pump is the easiest solution to this problem. I cant see it causing any problems and there plenty of room to miss the head bolt thread. -
loving the attention to detail. can't wait to see the final result

i'm also stuck on this have you found a solution?? -

I wish to know in anyone has used these on a 30/26 combo? are the any good to start with?. The reason i ask is that i'm starting my 26/30 build and given that it is only a street application are the powerbond balancers better than a O.E.M balancer and decent enough so i dont have to shell out for a ross or ATI race balancer.

coopeR32 replied to coopeR32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
interesting shoota_77 i was thinking all off the shelf parts are the same, but having one machined to suit my specific parts makes sense. Do you have any recomendations on how to use? i'm located in W.A but i can freight my parts through work if needed. -
Rb26/30 Oil Pan & Head Drain For Street Use
coopeR32 replied to coopeR32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
This is a street engine, its not going to be a 1000hp pro car. I have read that running a crank case evac system is more benifical than a head drain ( which seems to be fashionable these days ). I understand that N1 pumps are a O.E mass cast item but if the weak point is the gears then a crank collar and billet gears should fix or lesson the chance of breakage. i will also drill tha pan to allow oil to drain back to the pick up area -

coopeR32 replied to coopeR32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
being that this is a street engine and not planning really to rev past 8500rpm i cant justify the expense of a tomei pump. I will install billet gears in the N1 pump.
