  1. Nismo or Altia? Just want to make sure. I have the Altia kit and can take some pics for you. Alternatively, someone like #@xntrq may be able to give you an answer/photos straight away.
  2. Ricky, fairly sure that GTR type (whatever it is, fork/eye i forget) will fit into GTT BUT the thing is, because GTRs are heavier and lower the spring rates and dampening is completely wrong for GTTs. So you'd end up with a weird looking stance and not in a good way! This is discussed in the thread that I mentioned!
  3. from memory GTR will fit into GTT but NOT GT do a search because there is a thread with the answer for SURE.
  4. looking forward to review on jazz city diner, have heard good + bad!
  5. anyone else tried the schnitzels at the White cockatoo hotel in petersham? excellent schnitty i must say. and absolutely massive.
  6. First time i went to auburn to eat (with my gf) it was awkward AS. Not because i was with the gf, but because being the only asians in a The land of goat sphincter rings restaurant...thankfully most of the shop owners and waiters/waitresses are very very nice, and all you need to do is smile and ask a few questions. and try and look confident. Driving to auburn/granville, my friends always make the joke that "i fit right in"...so actually i kind of don't feel so out of place GTRKat - just give us a yell in this thread when you next need to go to auburn i'm sure some of us would gladly form a convoy to see you through sydney hahaha
  7. not sure if you were agreeing/disagreeing with me but i agree with most/all your points in the post
  8. my advice would be get a set of stock rims, whatever, can be had cheap (100-200) sometimes including tyres too - of course depending on condition, but could last you until you save up for whatever you want. but yeah you could just fix them up and run them again. but i think, having read AND talked to other wheel repairers (i had buckles worse than these), even if you fix them they will never be the same structural integrity again AND not to mention, do you know if the buckle goes all the way to the other side? Something that bad usually buckles the entire rim...if you stick it on a wheel balancer you'll see. Thought it's obviously bad enough to not hold air so...yeah
  9. if a little bit of detective work is done, one may find that blitz and BC coilovers are made in the same factory, and that the low end Blitz and BC are exactly the same coilovers underneath.
  10. fill and paint over? also, no idea what product this is but just an idea, even if this product is black then you can just paint over it again...right?
  11. white 34 with Altia kit at hornsby around 1pm today, also silver 33 in wahroonga in the driveway being worked on!
  12. your carpets, do they have stagea badges on them? if so, pics and price possible please?
  13. haha yes your guy was completely wrong. there are the swedish ohlins and the japanese licensed-but-still-official-ohlins. spoken to a few mechanics about coilovers before i got my bilsteins, and they recommended HSD very highly. take from that whatever you want.
  14. yes, i'm slightly lacking in the "tools" department but that won't stop me!
  15. i've tried using a hairdryer to soften perspex (to make the pod filter box) - it did not work. my hairdryer cut out before i got anywhere near being able to heat it up....ahhahaha.
  16. i've used the trim detailer but that's only temporary, you'll find that you need to redo it every month-2 months. i'd actually like to try the protectant as that says it is a restorer...but who knows!
  17. thanks for the warning Terry. Actually just empty right now so will be trying to fill up tonight/tomorrow....thankfully i have those docket vouchers, save myself a few cents! even though i know we're not really saving by using those vouchers...
  18. what about snag stand, fancy fancy snags!!! too fancy in my opinion. their chips are really good though. also, favourite burger places?
  19. hrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmm well i used a ruler and then measuring tape...still got the same measurements. maybe i need to go back to primary school? totally fine with someone coming to check them out for me too =)
  20. i'm assuming your Ohlins are a set of damper + springs right? If so they can be modified to become a 'coilover' kit with height adjustment but obviously no damper adjustment unless you already have that. There is a DIY on this forum, search, OR else if you want to pay someone to do it, I'd recommend contacting SK/Gary, or a local suspension shop (ask for suggestion in your area), no idea where you're located.
  21. HAHAA really the sun??? it's winter right now, no amount of sun in Sydney is going to heat up plastic....maybe a heat gun will do? wow they're not as expensive as i thought they'd be...thanks for the links mate will definitely look into getting these done some time.
  22. welcome mate, good to have another skyline in the hornsby area!
  23. thanks guys this will hopefully be rather simple as well, because i have something nice coming from Japan =)
  24. yeah that place is pretty good too, still has the opening special of 20% off even though they opened what, nearly 2 years ago? i think the sushi place you're talking about MAY have closed recently. if we're talking about the same one. eating world food court on dixon st is also pretty good food, dirty smelly and i even use their chopsticks/forks/spoons (but you really gotta be careful sometimes they're still greasy ewwww fark) and i've never been sick YET. please, you should be loving the 5$ coffees from cats poops and i duno, artisan sourdough white flour sprinkled bread, and the 20$ burgers with gourmet lettuce and home grown tomatoes???
  25. eastwood is not well known for japanese food, only korean and chinese. the few japanese restaurants there are not authentic japanese restaurants.
