  1. they look great mat. but i can't help but say, the middle one looks a few degrees off-centre!?!?!?
  2. but i already have a 34. i don't think i could go through the headaches of selecting and finding and buying another car...not to mention i already know the condition of the one i have now, and i just couldn't handle the uncertainties of another one hahahahahhahaha fark that 2000$ i could spend on other things. sunroof would be lovely but definitely unnecessary!
  3. what did you have to cut to make it fit? interested. oh and how much is freight to sydney NSW?
  4. didn't see you mention spark plugs!
  5. well. that also answers my questions. damn i wanted a sunroof......
  6. pics look awesome! can't wait to read more. where is this!?
  7. Now Terry you can claim the 'thank you' reward
  8. a guy/shop on JDMST had a lot of volk caps for sale a few months ago, try have a look there!
  9. is your lanyard BNWTWTFBBQ? sure i'll grab it next time i see you. cheers. bulk order SAU stickers, does it get cheaper =)
  10. could be any number of things, but i think i had similar with my car (with known issues), before i put in: hicas lock bar new tie rods (rear) new shocks (had a leak in one) sway bars pineapples (subframe alignment kit???) before all that, car would sometimes feel like it wobbled on a turn, or over a small bump. now all gone.
  11. found tanabe GF210 on my stock springs heh i knew them orange springs were weird! also found the lock nut key from previous owner's set of nuts, which he had the tyre guys smash off, thus running only 4 nuts (until i bought a new set of nuts). what a nub. it was in the compartment which had the spare tyre jack in it, i noticed something rolling around inside.
  12. how much are the SAU stickers with the R34 tail lights? put mine on over the weekend after getting it in the mail a while ago, wiped it with a towel (oops) and some letters came off. i was able to put them back on but there's crap underneath now... also would like another SAU lanyard, missus took mine =)
  13. yep i know the shock plays a huge part, all i'm saying is that i'm never going to be fiddling round adjusting height and damper settings so that's why i went with this setup. I'd have been interested to feel the SS, but seeing as i'd not felt what decent coilovers were like when i put this thread up, I wasn't really keen on jumping on a set of jap coilovers, as opposed to a proven setup + my mechanic's advice. as to my friend's S-tunes i (think) that they're non height adjustable...yeah you're right he's told me there's not much adjustability. And i did do a fair bit of research on importing a set of coilovers, anything decent would still have cost me 200-300$ more than my bilstein setup (tein SS, cusco zero etc etc).
  14. ??????? :rofl2: where can i get one? Yes Adam is right on the money. Having done months of reading, and researching specific models + talking to various mechanics + asking people!!! I decided that coilovers would not be what I want in my car, because they would be too harsh (means they will flog out sooner or later = more money spent) which is really a lose-lose situation. Having said that, comfortable/harsh is very subjective, and it seems like many people find that Jap coilovers are 'acceptable'. I've been in my friend's 33 with nismo s-tunes and those are quite comfortable, in fact comparable to the Bilstein setup I have in terms of bumpiness. So go OEM if anything. Oh and a mate has Ohlins in the S15, which are absolutely peachy. I thought they were stock suspension...until I asked.
  15. where are you located? i might be installing my FMIC in a month or two meaning the side mount will come out. if you still haven't found one by then, hit me up
  16. would like cooling panel, roof wing (like the URAS one?), and maybe just black FRP wind deflectors if possible? oh and if you can somehow get an exhaust heat shield made up for our altia rear bar, then that would be excellent too =) the sphincter of the universe
  17. excuse the effects but i think it works quite well with the black car. taken after i dropped it from stock height. loving it.
  18. wut!? so it's not even a globe available to be sourced anywhere!?
  19. Alright final review. Got the car back on the weekend and drove it around. What got put on: Bilsteins from SK (I believe they are B46) and King Springs (Low). Along with Whiteline camber bushes for the front and rear. Work was done by Dennis @ Grim Performance. The drive: excellent. Firm, but still a bit springy, definitely more 'hard' than stock but there is no floating/bouncing now. Can definitely feel going over a bump or hole but it is excellent in every way. Would absolutely recommend these if you only want to upgrade your shocks for a streeter. I don't know what's with wanting coilovers etc for tracks but i'd say, having combined these with upgraded sway bars I'd fancy my chances of taking a high speed corner or two... The work: Dennis was great with communicating, he answered all my questions and gave me great advice even though I know next to nothing. Suggestions were given but not pushed to sell, he's completely fine with the customer supplying all products. Work is top notch. Turnaround time is great as well. Best of all he's located nearby, so if you're in the north shore area then Grim performance is the way to go.
  20. could you also upload pics here? im sure others are interested also
  21. pics, and model number (if there are multiple) would be great for buyers. and for those in the know, aragosta are effing awesome (not speaking from experience) but a very well regarded brand of coilovers so if these are brand new (or in good nick) then 1400~ would be a steal. but yes, pics and model would help with your EOI
  22. wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww didn't expect it to cost that much. maybe get a group buy going, would lower the prices!? especially for the r32 i'm sure a LOT of the guys would need that to be changed
  23. white R35 in hornsby on saturday around...2pm?
  24. wtf mate lost your job!?!?
  25. Thanks for all the opinions, forgot about this thread i started. Have had the shocks installed last week and drove around on the weekend - LOVED the difference. It was a great upgrade, where I knew i was going over a bump but i barely felt it. And yes Johnny I also did upgrade my sway bars at the same time - something like 30mm for front and rears (forgot exact mm) and when i turn there is only the slightest hint of me shifting in the seat, but the car does not roll much/at all. The car went straight back into the workshop this week though, to fix up a few other things so haven't been able to enjoy the ride and comment further. But will update as i go, so other people can possibly get one more opinion on something OTHER than coilovers, because as a streeter, this is perfect.
