take this picture to your nissan spare parts dealer/shop and they should be able to pull up the schematics and find the part for you. if not you might have to replace the entire thing from a wreck. or try find that part off another wrecked 34!

Spark plugs COULD cause rough starting, because if they are old/crappy then think about it, what starts the car? The spark plugs (ok, along with other parts but bear with me) - they give the ignition. When mine were crapped out, it sounded like my car was dying, it would crank slowly/roughly/coughing and then MAYBE start...after a few goes. crapped out spark plugs = bad spark = slow/crappy crank.

Could also be spark plugs, never know. But from what you described yes it sounds like starter motor.

hood bra, or get some vinyl wrap (and apply a layer or two), or plastidip...???? all these seem to be easily removable, not speaking from experience

i'm with you , i totally understand your viewpoint - in fact i did something pretty much similar to you last year, in that i was the target of a bad and abusive driver (he was in a V35 skyline) and i posted over in their area, instead, some people laughed at me, some people supported me, but most people said that posting up was pointless, like here. but i too felt that i needed to say something, in case that person was on the forum, that their behaviour was NOT OK (deliberately blocking me off, verbally abusing me etc).

not sure if i'm misundersatnding you but by definition, the HID (in a projector headlight setup) is inside the glass bulb anyway - legality would be concerning the retrofit (not sure on the laws about this), rather than where the HID is (as that's a moot point)

black isn't always dirty, it gets dirty quicker, there's a small difference! oh and here's a nice idea for you: white gtt, black rims, but make the wing stands black, while keeping the wing white. I see this unique feature on a GTT in my area, but i don't think he's on SAU. looks real nice and it really threw me off the first time i saw it, i knew something was 'wrong'!
