  5. G'day, I am currently running a turbosmart dual stage boost tee with 38mm external gate running 15psi low and 19 psi high boost. I have a wolf v4 and was wondering if anyone has used the wolfs own boost controller? I havnt had any problems with the turbosmart bleeders but ive read alot about how much trouble other people have been having with them and it got me thinking. Any info would be good thanks. Also are the people having problems with boost spikes and lag with the turbosmart bleeders all internal gate or has anyone with external gate had a prob? Thanks.

  7. Silver coupe 2.5L Turbo 5 spd manual, factory option dual stage Nismo computer and turbo timer. Never modified mechanically! Lowered KYB suspension, CD player. All electrics 17 x 7.5in AJR wheels. Tinted windows, lady owner. Excellent condition $17990 neg. This r33 is exactly what you're after, whether it be a reliable stock R33 or a base for your project - knowing no-one has messed wih the mechanicals and the motor has been run on premium motul oil and serviced religiously,(No blow by and perfect compression.) This car has been meticulously maintained mechanically and has never had a hickup. The kilometers are genuine not like most grey imports with upgraded gauge clusters. A country car with country kilometers, and with the factory nismo optioned dual stage computer, the car packs 206 kw rather than the stock 185kw which drives stock on 7 psi, preserving fuel and wear until you want to overtake. Then rev it past 5000rpm and the CPU switches maps to run 9psi. With factory tuning you know it is guaranteed to be safe for at least 300,000 klms like nissan intended! Fiancee's car and she just got a job at a mine 32klms from home so she needs a cheap little pulsar not a scmick skyline to get covered in dirt and rack up heaps of k's on.   8. I cant comment on the hks turbo but a gcg 3040 are not as laggy as some people make out.(4000rpm isnt too laggy for me) And even if you optioned the 3040 with a .63 rear it should make the power with a fraction less lag again.
  9. Thanks sydney kid will do.(clever) In winter the temp is often 0 and in summer often 35 plus.
  10. It s an rb 25det on the limit a bit. I'm going to try the motul 8100 full synthetic 5w 40. Thanks for the input. I suppose there is no reason to change from this oil when summer comes around?
  11. i just moved to the hills where in the morning when i start my car it is usually below 5 degrees and my motor has developed a loud tapping i was wondering what oil you guys recommend. When on the coast i ran pennzoil gt performance 25w50. thanks.
  12. steve, I tried winding it fully tight but it still blows off after 15psi so on the weekend ill try putting a plug in the bov so it doesnt work at all and let you know what happens. My car runs no afm so it cant be anything to do with the recirculating bov. The bov is mounted about a foot from the throttle body under the drivers side guard.
  13. Thanks steve i will try blocking the bov tomorrow and let you know. The only other things i changed when turning up the boost was fuel pump and injectors. The same guy tuned it but we didnt do a road tune and so i didnt find out about the throttle lag until i got out of the city(as it only does it on gear changes on high boost) the cams are stock. I am going on the dyno again on the 17th and want to have this sorted by then if i can. And so when i have the bov jammed shut ie.no bov, it wont hurt my turbo ?? Thanks ill post tomorrow with results but if it doesnt fix it ill have to wait for the dyno. cheers.

Steve can you tell me how to fix my problem then as you have helped before with useful info i can always just sell the second bov if there is another way.The sound doesnt bother me i just want to get rid of the deadspot on gearchanges. And you other tools should stop feeding so much sausage to thorpie,and not attack people for no reason behind the safety of your computer screen. I am not a mechanic so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  16. G'day, Been reading a bit into it and i was wondering.... What is the perfect size exh for a 25 i thought a .63 was good but by the looks of the gcg hybrid thing that uses a .8 and is much better with no more lag so lets say you had a 600hp gt 30 with a .63 and a 600hp gt 30 with a .82 both running 18 psi which would perform better as in power verse lag/response. Cheers.
  17. just thought i would ad to the discussion..... I currently have a supersonic bov on 3" i/c pipes and when the car was running 12 psi it worked fine now the car is running 19 psi i get a loud flutter before the psht noise when i change gears and the car pauses for a second so i am fitting a second bov to solve the problem. Now that should prove that bov are definently needed.

  20. IAN ! Ya stranger how ya goin? You never rang to tell me you one lotto. Thats an awesome result dude heaps happy for ya. You should come out and visit,it has been -4 degrees and god knows what power im making cos of it. Snow drift is fun too. But we will be in forster in the next month so we will catch up.
