  1. thanks mate, sounds like a worth while upgrade. currently the car seems to hit boost when it wants to. it's not consistant as to when it does it boost and as you say is pretty slow to build up. I think I'll buy the IEBC and hand controller. IS there any other option for an EBC at this price point? cheers
  2. what about my other part, my turbosmart isn't electronic. Is there great benefit in going to electronic?
  3. sorry if this has already been asked but do you need the conroller to tune the IEBC? Or can u just buy the boost controller and use that. Anyway, I have a manual r33 gtst and have a turbosmart boost controller. It seems pretty good but I;ve been told that EBC are heaps more reliable. Should I change>? This seems like a cheap option which is good
  4. sure thing GMB
  5. I'd be interested in a cruise with ya tim. few hours at basky would be good also as I havn't been out there yet.
  6. cheers, i only have about 170rwkw but it's on 95RON (best we can get in tas). I hope to go for a run soonish and am hoping for under 14sec pass.
  7. paulr33, out of interest (sorry for hijack) what quarter do you do? I have similar mods to you and havn't had a run yet. just wondering.

  11. thanks for the input for me guys! congrats on the result anyhow robo. cant wait to see your time with the new setup (if you can get it to grip!!!)
  12. shouldn't you have been able to tune out the dip with the safc? As you can see here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...44&page=1&pp=25 my SAFCII tune doesn't have a dip in that range which would be between 130-160kmph I don't doubt that the powerfc is heaps better but maybe you could have gotten more out of your safc with a good tune. I think my power figure is kinda low but it's on base ignition timing and also we can only get ron95 pulp here so the tune is probably a bit richer than those on the mainland.
  13. how do they test the noise? do they have some sort of meter on the spot or are the just guessing it's to loud?
  14. if you alreay have the SAFCII then stick with it. It will do the job fine. It sorta depends on what you want to do in the future i reckon. If you are gonna leave your mods at that level for ever then a SAFCII would be fine. If you're going to do a lot of work on the engine and have high hopes to be a dyno/drag king then go a powerfc.
  15. what power gain does this give?
  16. I'd be interested also. Live in hobart. I think there have been quite a few cruises down here but have been for imports in general, not just skylines.
  17. unfortunately i havn't seen your car around yet I use Dave Griffiths. He seems to know his stuff although he is a little on the expensive side. Griffith's automotive is the company. I believe matt rickards 350+awkw gtr also goes to him. Below is a shot of my car, give me a wave if you see me http://photobucket.com/albums/v212/JaFF/?a...nt=6810ac01.jpg Edit: made a mistake with names

  21. so this turbo is more suited to an r32 than a r33?
  22. same here cubes.
  23. are you willing to send, if so, how much to send to tas?
