  1. Wow, if 90% of that website wasn't under construction, it might be useful.
  2. ahh good. Hopefully mine is on it's way. Did you have any in stock or have to make them before sending them off? James A
  3. From what i've read you'll need- after market ecu- powerfc bigger injectors FMIC HD clutch maybe a fpr/new fuel pump? and a bigger exhaust would help it breath a bit better. I havn't got a bigger turbo buit from what I've read a GT30 should be well over 250rwkw. Of course this has been covered a few times so a search would probably help you better.
  4. ouch, thats gotta hurt.
  5. do you run 1 bar all the time or do you have a boost controller with high and low boost settings? 1 bar wont last long on a stock turbo I've heard.
  6. hrmm I think it's ran into something head on and then flipped straight up and rolled landing on the boot area.
  7. After reading a few threads around the place I thought I better find out if I'd be covered if I needed to claim insurance. I'm with just cars fully comp. and have all my mods listed. I've read elsewhere though that it doesn't matter if they are listed if they are illegal mods. ie. if you make a claim and have illegal mods they can deny your claim. So.. I wanted to find out what mods in tassie are legal. My car has a FMIC but I'm still using the standard air box. (no pod) Have a 2 stage boost controller have a SAFC II. Turbosmart BOV (which i think i'll swap back to stock anyway) 3" turbo back exhaust so, in terms of tassies laws do I have anything illegal? I wouldn't have thought so but the only things worrying me are the boost controller and BOV. Thanks, James
  8. Also, Griffiths auto use Pro Automotives dyno so you could use him too.
  9. yeah the GTR launch off the line was awesome The black 31 sounded pretty damn tough and he was gunning it from what I saw. What mods did that have? Still don't know who won? A mate of mine, Andrew Robinson, was driving the Golf GTI and came 4th outright I think. That thing goes pretty hard and he is a good driver. I think he mentioned he was within 4 tenths of the gtr. pretty good effort. So who won?
  10. get full engine management- powerfc should fix it.
  11. Was a good day from what I saw. I only stayed til lunch but at that stage the black evo was in front. Who won it in the end? I was in a nismo jacket if anyone saw me. Next time you see me, say hello
  12. more pics would be good. can't see much in the one you posted. Has he got a website?

    Tas Whoretown

I think we'll need to get some sau stickers. There are heaps of lines around now. Most wouldn't know this existed.
  14. Be better if you let us know a power figure your searching for, not the amount of boost you want to run.
  15. datsun 120Y. Learn to drive before you get a perfornance vehicle.
  16. Thanks for all your reply's guys. I'm kinda leaning towards a 2000 SSS pulsar or a newish corolla. The sportivos seem to be a bit over the 20K limit though so pulsar is more likely. Thanks again for all your input.
  17. Oh and a reason as to why you suggest what you suggest would be good
  18. Hi All, I'm thinking about selling my R33 in favour of getting a smaller more fuel economical car. The running costs are getting a bit high for a daily driver. I realise I'm going to be sacrificing a lot in terms of performance but I think i can handle that. So, what small/sportyish hatch or sedan car would you suggest in the range below $20k but above $10k. It has to be a 4 cylinder or have excellent fuel economy as a 6. Prefer something with a balance of sporty and economy. I don't mind a bit of expense for fuel but the line is getting up around the $280 a fortnight. a bit more than I'd like to pay. Any brand of car is welcome and everyone has their own opinions so no bagging others for their suggestions. Cheers James.
  19. you can't really base fact on one race I don't think. All drivers have different abilities so whos to say the 34 driver was the best there and if he;d jumped in the STI would have won in that? I think the GTR would win anyway but I think the best way is for the one driver to do hot laps around the same track, given a warm up in each car to get used to it then go for it. Even then to be fair this should be done over a number a different types of tracks if you want to find out the best overall car. When it comes down to it though it doesn't really matter as the majority of skyline, WRX, EVO drivers never even make it to the track and generally use them to cruise around in and drag a few people at lights.
  20. haha did you read my post, I'm paying 132 cents per litre for normal premo 95RON. I'd give anything to be able to get 98RON for 126cents pl
  21. I'm in the same situtation with my r33gtst. about 320kms per tank. Yesterday I filled up with 95RON (best we can get in tas at the pump) and it cost me $1.31.9 per litre. getting pretty costly to run this thing and it's my daily too
  22. yar, pics of that front bar. any cracks??

    Whiteline Springs

ahh, yup sorry I was kinda talking about shocks not springs. I think people tend to go Bilsten (sp?) springs with a whiteline shockies set if they are going for a cheaper alt.

Have a search in these forums Timmy. Sydneykid (well respected guy) uses em in all his cars and heaps of users here have them. From what i've read here they are awesome for aussie conditions as thats what they are designed for whereas jap coilovers etc aren't. The above is the first comment I've read that complains about them. I havn't got any but plan to as well. As i said do a search and see what others think.
  25. I had a different problem but I got mine reconditioned for just over $100. It wasn't a full reco, just a replacement of the parts that were stuffed
