  1. looks good mate, now just lower it a bit
  2. its not that inaccurate. Most of these estiamtions occur in low km speed zones where it is quite obvious when someone is speeding. Also cops won't accuse you for only speeding 10kms over as it's to close to judge. From what I've seen and from talking to a few cops who are friends they generally only use judgements if it's blatantly obvious you were speeding. "Yet on the other hand i believe they can use some descrepency, as another time i got caught street racing, but let me off on a speeding fine. They told me that they assumed i was doing over 100km as they had to do 130km to catch up to me. I can't remember if i got booked for 110 or just 100, but they were nice and let me off on less serious charges due to some circumstances." Uhmm yeah, cops have always had the power to issue warnings and use their own discretion on certain matters. If you were street racing though I'm surprised you didn't get the book thrown at you. keep it on the track.
  3. exactly as above. Some cops are just lazy and decide it's not worth the hassle to book you on a judgement call. Especially if you contest it straight away and you weren't much over the limit. If you're in the next bracket up 20-30km over the speed limit I'm sure the cops would be more comfortable in taking you on in court and you'd probably lose.
  4. actually i believe they can charge you without a speed camera if it's bloody obvious you were doing way over the speed limit. Some cops that have been in the force a long time can pass some sort of competency test on judging speeds of vehicles and the evidence can be heard in court. I work in a College and there is a cop based on site that has booked students without actual evidence other than his good record as a cop.
  5. Although I like the current shape more that video has changed my opinion. I think it looks better in the flesh than those original pics conveyed.

    Tas Whoretown

    whatever.
  8. My vote also goes to the 2005 Golf GTI DSG. Reviews rave about the car for it's handling and performance. VWs tend to go forever too.
  9. geez, I'm 23 with just cars, have a modded 93 gtst R33, am rating 1 and only pay $1050 this year

Fark sif you'd even bother with whoring. Don't you guys work?
  11. well, I went into the workshop and had a look when it was spinning on the balancer and they were wobbling a fair bit. I do have super shit tyres though, cant remember the model no but they are really bad faulkens. They;ve been on it since I got it. Would they cause it to look like that at all? When I look at the rim from side on it looks perfectly round but I've only seen them with the tyres on. Not sure if there are dents but when I look up through the wheels I cant see any... $600 could put you on the way to a nice new set of wheels. If I know they'd be fixed properly I'd be happy to pay that though instead of $3000 for new wheels. I live in Tas and it wouldn't surprise me if the shops down here that do the repairs don;t know shit.
  12. Hi All, Ever since I got my car I'd get the shakes at about 110km. I put it down to bad balance but when I took the wheels/tyres in to be balanced I was told that all 4 rims were buckled. Spewing. Anyway, They say they can send thm off to be repaired but warned me that sometimes they come back no better than they were sent off. I put this down to them wanting the commision from a new set of rims but is it true? Can wheels be repaired well and if you have had yours repaired are they still strong or are they now suseptable to be buckled again? These are 18in chomies so obviously I'd prefer that they could be repaired. What sort of prices have people paid if anyone has done it? Thanks, James
  13. uhmm what about insurance. If most are saying chasers are rare they must cost a fair bit to insure? My pic would be the chaser because it's a nice cruiser with performance. The r34 is a great car too but in my opinion attracts the wrong kind of attention. A skyline will have every bogan out there trying to drag you off at the lights while the chaser will be a bit of a sleeper that only enthusiests will notice.
  14. depends what YOU want. They are both good cars. For the price of a decent R33 these days (20k) you can pick up a (probably crappy) 32gtr. I chose the r33 for its updated looks (ex and interior) and performace.

I spose any 98ron is good but I'd prefer BP ultimate. earmarked, that could take years. And with the cost of 95PULP imagine how much they'll charge for 98 when it gets here. Tassie sucks, petrol way more expensive, houses way more expensive even for shitholes..... ... ..end rant sorry. It's depressing trying to buy a house down here.
  21. I emailed mfx asking for pics of the bar on. Hopefully they'll send some back so I can post em up.
  22. http://www.mfx.com.au/pages/iprod.htm try those guys. I havn't seen the r33 on a car but it does look different and reasonably proced
