  1. omg u funky nazi monkey hahaha.... j/k *ok sorry for teh repost then* no one reads in that section anyway.... everyone else seems to have not seen it... sooo meehhh
  2. a mate found this link... clicky clicky kthnxbai
  3. i'm sorry i'll have to agree with warren on this one. power isnt everything. sure its nice to have it, but to others it isnt a priority. to put things into perspective, i have seen/know of an r31 with an rb30e, exhaust and alot of suspension work keep up/lead with r32/33 gtst's with alot more mods on the mountains. another example is na_r33, when his r33 was still an rb25de, he was leading gtst's and gtr's through the mountains. (and trust me these gtst and gtr drivers are not noobs) sure in a straight line it would be a different story - but who cant drive in a straight line? at the end of the day - if someone can keep up/lead in an na r31 and r33, then the added "power" is just compensating for the driver's inability. not to say that all people who have gtst's cannot drive, just that to others its not a priority and simply not important to stay ahead. that said, the r31 is making slow progress with an rb25det going in, and well you all know john the bloody supercharged v8 bogan... also a dyno read out is just a number...
  4. this car has been on ebay for a bit over a year now... someone who claimed to be the owner came onto the qld forums and another forum i was on, claimed to be the owner of 3 or 4 GTRS a porsche and a few GTSTs and an importer by the name of world wide impex. had no idea how much an R34 GTR was worth and was questioned by the qld members about if he was who he claimed to be... eventually found to be some kid who was playing with his father's capital...
  5. but when the tax we pay for petrol is significantly more than the cost of the fuel itself is when we know teh system is farked...
  6. but with great power...... ...comes uber crap km per tank!!!111oneoneoneone that said... a level headed driver in a 1000HP car will be more likely to have an accident than a level headed driver in a moderately powered car.
  7. thats the doluck 32..
  8. YEAH! who needs a steering wheel... will have to agree with the weight loss... instant power to weight ratio. take in mind though - most of our cars are daily driven... unless your like johnny and decide to go all out with the sound deadening...
  9. there are r32s with 25de's in them... they just lack the variable timing that comes with the 33s.
  10. happy birthday dirk! eug
  11. -the one under the driver side dash could probably be a dimmer. -and the one in the center console looks suss... (neons?) flick em on and find out! If u want to find out more abt ur car - just read through the forums, ie. D.I.Y, General Maintenance, if you can find a copy of "The Sky's The Limit" (I think thats what its called) that pdf will cover a bit of the history and components as well as statistics and stuff - can try searching for that, there'd be a few floating around.
  12. actually mine didnt, and neither did NA_R33's from memory.. i was led to believe that the type-s had red badges, and gts4 and regular gts had the blue.
  13. as i remember (and unless things have changed) $55 gets u into the club - stickers, member card, discounts from various sponsers (bob jane, mecury, bda, tuff toyz and some other places), access to members' sections and members' events $95 gets u all of the above and SAU polo shirt with sponser embriodery.
  14. i can vouch for this car, immaculate condition.
  15. looks like a good buy mate, looks very clean - similar condition to when i bought my car a year ago. got the rare blue gt badges too =)
  16. agree with meggala... but power does make it easier unless your willing to commit to the corner. i've attempted a few "powerslides" with clutch popping - can't say is the healthiest thing... take note that 33's are heavier than the 86.
  17. F20 (S2000) is a RWD and H22 is a FWD [i believe?] so having a H22 in a S2000 sounds like rubbish. and sk pwnd ur mate. this thread is funneh
  18. not true, there are two types of rear strut braces for the R33. one that sits on top of the struts (requires parcel shelf hacking) and another that sits on 2 pairs of studs that sit on the rear of the struts and face backwards. (requires boot lining to be cut) the latter is a bit more rare to find - u can buy a ~$200-$300 cusco one, or find one from a wrecked 33GTR or some 33GTST (series II)
  19. Sounds like a very good idea Don, are you going to do a dyno run before all this (would be keen to see your RB30DE results) as well as the changes the twin throttle bodies would make. Eug
  20. yes, mate has done it... may need a spacer made up though Eug
  21. werd... i have heard heaps of people at uni saying how they want 300rwkw in their CA18, or want to run (insert boost) psi, etc etc... like its some easy task... hell i even heard a dude saying he was going to buy the White's R34 GTR!!! then find him searching for barina's and corolla's 10 minutes later.. they think its some achievement to push 300rwkw (which it is) but have no absolute idea whats involved and that Nitrous will solve all their problems.
  22. i knew it looked a bit different....
  23. blue 32 with SAU sticker @ the uni.. always parks in the same spot at the front of the pack...
  24. i'm with johnny, this is getting ridiculous...
