  1. only 33s need the flat bootlid... only east bear and kustom karbon make them properly from memory they not cheap kev.
  2. not intending for a hijack, but since we are on the topic of r32/z32 and s14 calipers and rotors. does anyone know if it is possible to order the retainer pins and backing plate for the calipers through nissan under either of the above cars? rotor width should not have any affect right? as i have 32 type m calipers (with the fins) but missing the pins and backing plate... wreckers will not seperate and only thing i can think of is to order them in. thnx Eug
  3. turn on the air-con and direct it to the windshield
  4. )$#@)(*$#@#@$#@()$#@ do a search mate, you cant just ask a question and expected for it to be laid out on a platter for you... DAN666 has a big thread about turboing the NA RB25DE, and a few other members are in the process of turboing their engines.
  5. looking at your other thread about recently throwing a pod filter... i hope you have taken this screw out properly... I ended up using 2 or 3 of the original airbox screws to bracket down my pod filter and to brace a metal heatshield... just a thought.
  6. what type of rear strut brace? does it sit on top or on the side (like 33GTR)
  7. basically if its not in neutral it wont start... does anyone know if the neutral safeguard still voids insurance?
  8. SXE32 @ the uni.... the 4door sedan
  9. it could just be a possibility that the previous owner did not like the red badges and threw on the blue to be more realistic... blue badges are quite cool though - very rare.
  10. maybe contact the bank? obviously they wont give you his details, but maybe through them you can notify him about pressing legal charges.
  11. saw a black 33 in the garage today
  12. its a simple concept and people have been experimenting with exhausts for quite sometime now... its now such a widely known fact that people usually dont question it, very much anymore. ever tried to blow water out of a 3" pipe? ever tried to blow water out of a 1" pipe? try blowing water out of a straw? only in high revs will the volume of flow be sufficient for such a large system to have any sort of benefits. I do not know how you drive... but I surely would not be redlining my car just to head to the shops. Now - I tell you that you would infact be wasting money, because @ low revs it mid range where MOST people drive their car on the streets - a 2.5" system is the optimum.
  13. mate, i am not taking a personal stab at you - this is a forum and issues/debates like this is what keeps the forums going. this is a forum of information... and i am merely stating that you are only taking a 1-sided view as to the appropiate size for an exhaust system on a naturally aspirated car. i NEVER said you were wrong, and i never dissed you for getting ur 3" system... and I never said a thing about ur rims, kit or colour, so keep your posts relevant to the question. The question is: What exaust would you guys recommend for a r33 GTS in terms of value for money? There are about 10 people including myself who have said a system no bigger than 2.5" will give the most optimum airflow without hindering backpressure... In your case you may have attained a higher MAX POWER reading on a dyno, but everyone will know power does not necessarily equal go, and a car is driven differently on the street as how it is on a dyno. We do not want to give people who are unsure the wrong type of information.
  14. like mearcat and everyone else says.. proper flow is essential to NAs dyno (max power) dont prove squat for street driving - as cars are dyno'd at very high rpms its the curver underneath is what's imporant unless u intend to redline shift to go to the corner store.... u will notice a gutless drive...
  15. umm.. dont our cars already have a limiter? though u can buy extras to reduce it to like u say 6000 to protect the engine.
  16. I reckon the RB25DE's take alot of beating... Has anyone ever posted something seriously wrong with their NA in this forum? None, if anything hardly... The boost boys however.... is another story Obviously revving the tits off the car isnt gunna do any good for her, but they do take a fair beating.
  17. brakes definately are different... (unsure about gts4) GTST: 4pot front, twin pot rears - with the NISSAN on the calipers. GTS: ugly black things I dunno what they are - will let you guys know when i do the brake upgrade. my gts has red gt badges (type-s standard) and DaGr81 is fairly correct with the other stuff ^^^

  24. ahh nice... when i was watching that i remembered someone posting about it, didnt make the connection though! pity about this year... like that guy said next year! top stuff man 225 and 221km/hr is pretty impressive as it is.
