  1. yup mine has the cable to open the flap too - I have yet to see it open though (cos I'm always driving when it opens up I guess ) gatty: You can tell that your hicas is locked or not by doing a diagnostic (do a search), you can actually see the rear wheels move when your stationary. Or when you drive, particularly around a roundabout, you can feel the rear end of the car running sideways, it feels sort of drifty but obviously not on such an angle. HICAS LOCK BAR HICAS LOCK ON THE CAR OR you cud just check under the car.
  2. Do you have a HICAS lock?? Apparently that is the only way to properly disable it.. Mine is 1994.
  3. rofl @ dale... you will learn young padwan...
  4. *sigh* the memories...... HAHHAHAHA WiLL Be There Matty
  5. Is the CA18"i" same as the silvia ones? I cant imagine why not. Try checking out http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/ Having said that, it comes down to what kinda power figures are you after when you say serious modification? For track? Drag? or just tough street car? How far your willing to go? Spend? Work? etc... If you wanna go hard, then I agree with Funky on the SR20DET, or maybe RB20DET if you want to keep it in the skyline family. How much room do you have in the bay? Is it the same as an RB skyline? There are RB25DE R32s going around. Eug
  6. R32 Sedan with a CA18??? is this stock? umm... I am thinking about putting in a stock GTST clutch, imo that is more than adequate for an NA Car... BTW - post photos of your car.. I am curious.
  7. I take it your car dusn't have hicas? cool. Yeh I have red badges too... Thnx for clearin that up
  8. I guess the thicker ones wud clamp reasonably earlier than the thinner ones. In the end they'd wear down anyway - so I'd say if the thicker ones fit then go for them, you'd get more life out of them as well i am assuming. skyla: thnx, I guess I "might" have a type S - stock exhaust has a little flap thing which I am curious about.
  9. ROFL - GOLD Josh...!!
  10. sorry for offtopic: but what exactly is the S type? Repco or Autobarn wud usually have a book on the fitment wudnt they?

  12. I've been doing my head in as to trying to figure out how I would measure the offset required for a set of rims for an R33 GTS. 35-40ish right? I am after a set of rims 17x8" all round, but due to the way the rim is, dunno if the offset of (35-40ish) applies as the spokes come from the centre all the way to the outer lip, thus.. no dish. can anyone shed some light on as how the offset for these rims should be?

    Discrimination?

strutto: wooosah bs defects... pred: with the tape recording thing, don't you have to state to them that you are recording the conversation for it to be valid in court, etc?
  14. ahh.. yeah I saw your thread about that.. I am quite confused about the offsets as well... I have searched the forums and internet and have gotten quite mixed results. How to calculate the offset? As I understand it, isnt it how far out the rims sit from the car? I would really like my rims to sit inline with my guards but.. am unsure. I am after 17x8 all round. very interested to see how u go //ASYLUM
  15. This sounds quite interesting... I am curious to know how they will claim that you are speeding. ie. with previous stuff you would have a photo with a read out of the speed limit, and the speed you were doing. Will they send you a series of formula's and calculations? E=MC^2= speeding skyline. That aside, I hope that you do get your license suspended. You not only endanger yourself and others by doing speeds in excess of 175km/hr, but you give the rest of us bad names. Your 19, P-Plater? Import? Turbo? Speeding? anybody see this on Today Tonight?? (gee i wonder) You said it yourself.

  17. is goose edible?
  18. you should have done a search THAT was in the sticky right up at the top!
  19. have u bought the "kit" already Josh? wudnt it be less hassle if u just got 32gtst items? instead of the 33s? I dunno I'm throwing a burnt flap into a deep tunnel in guessing
  20. I reckon he's busted a turbo - and now its an N/A that's why he's posted here. j/k paully_tee: yes it is.
  21. R32 GTS: be on the look out for rims 4/114.3 it is the same as the R33 GTS, also same as 180SX, and S13s (silvia) I am not sure abt the 200SX i think they are a 5 stud pattern.
  22. Josh, wouldnt u just use GTR items? I got u new beefy flaps btw.
  23. ask japtaxi he has done a similar conversion, but from a 32gtst instead of ur NAness.
