?? my mate did this conversion into an r33 close to 4 years ago even with a huffer now

you'll want some decent revs for drift. probably best to rebuild it also. hard... yes wouldn't be my pick of motor for drifting.
-
LOL... nothing is confirmed yet. i'm waiting until after i graduate (july) - however the RB25 has fux0red it's head gasket and measurements are currently being made for the transplant hint V the plan will also be to build the RB30 as a side project and whack on the head from the 25 - which is far more appealing to me
-
keep trying...

may as well go for a VH45... unfortunately i dont think you'd see any change from $5K unless you could do a large portion of the work yourself. i know john has easily spent more than that and he initially did it on the cheap!

c'mon already... lets start a fundraiser
-
that's the spirit!!! i still remember your old car with the pretty blue colors
-
i've noticed that... my theory is they try to get you to buy the locally branded tyres rather. $1400 for yokis? or $800 for dunlops... you get the idea.

when are you leaving her for another woman??!!!

trying to do something different and unique appeals to self worth... just like people who sticker up their car and have big fancy kits and wings. it doesn't matter what others think but the fact is that you like it and it appeals to you. so if you want to make 250rwkw NA and spend bucket loads of money go ahead. but... not directing this at you joshua, but since we are on the topic of power. i still fail to understand the 'dream' people have to attain more and more power. i understand that power is a quick standard everyone uses to assess the engine - however you don't need massive amounts of power to go fast!! that said if you're simply wanting to make more power, then boost is your answer. if you want to create art (and i use the term loosely here for those ricey ones) then do what your wallet allows you to! cheers eug

personally i would use redline products for my transmission fluids. regardless NAs won't be as fussy with oil as the turbo models... just make sure you find some nice quality one and don't mix and match. service them regularly and you should have no problems. always keep in mind that these are 13-15 year old cars and yet we drive them like they had just come off the show room floor

excellent Rach... just to let you know the RB20 ecu is quite tuneable... not sure how you'd go finding someone in NZ though. some nice results there p.s. - just a personal pick of mine, but i disapprove of dyno operators printing out road speed as a substitute for rpm. i know you can calculate backwards though that said, i would have expected a little more in the low-mid range (comparing to the rb20det). i think the rb25 turbo might be a little big for the rb20de+t it certainly shows it in the top end though. some tuning should also help immensely. when does full boost occur?

sneaky sneaky... i've been extremely tempted to go 5 stud for quite some time... but the 4 stud shock factor is certainly rewarding

an official welcome buddy... please be careful a skidpan day or defensive driver course will do you wonders!!!

tickets i have... hooray!!! 1.5 hours just watching the screen automatically refresh itself... what a joke now to scalp them off... j/k!! glad those idiots can't sell these tickets!!

that's generally based on a cost benefit factor. turbo's should use synthetic because they are sometimes oil cooled and the heat to cool cycle degrades the oil faster. to the OP: that said it depends on your application. if you are cruising around a semi synthetic (dare i say natural) will be fine provided you keep using the same oil for your subsequent services. if you do a bit of dyno or track work like cara, myself and a few others then synthetic would be the way to go!! royal purple, elf, motul, take your pick. personally i run motul

Possible Joint/forum Group Buy On Coby Extractors
Eug replied to Hesh's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hey there Si, welcome to the headache i had to put up with - and i organized three of these buys! it's unfortunately the minority that ruin it, the rest are an amazing bunch. this is a group buy people! the discounted price can only be attained if and when the agreed amount of buyers is reached. some are quick to express into getting you to get organization underway, but when it comes to crunch time (i.e. confirmation and money) they all scamper. some users i have noticed have expressed interest in your GB as they have in the last two buys. tell you what. i would hate to see this group buy fall through. despite my busy schedule i am willing to be the collector of funds for the australian side purely just to help you guys progress with this GB in the UK. that is if you are happy or wish for me to do so. however i have some conditions: 1. that you remain the sole contact for the correspondence with partsco and the members (keep me cc'd in on the emails) for simplicities sake and for my sake. 2. since i will be making the international transfer on behalf of the australian buyers i will be hit with an international transfer fee, so please factor that into account as well as fluctuations in exchange rate. i paid an extra $60 out of my own money last time and as much as i love you guys i would like to avoid it if possible. if any of the Australian buyers have an issue with this. to put your mind at ease, i have organized 3 of these buys before, i am the treasurer and financial member of SAuQLD, a moderator as well as a forum user with a flawless trader rating. any questions fire away. Si, PM me if you wish. cheers eug -
