  1. 450km aggressive tune. check out the power thread for a list of mods. to be honest, fuel economy is pretty crap. a turbo's efficiency is so much better in terms of driving off boost in the city, and on boost whilst tracking it. unless you have quite a few mods which is out of the scope of the stock ecu and you wish to clean up the AFRs a bit i personally wouldn't be too phased. one of the reasons for the SAFC2 was to have the knock sensor when on track.

    Happy Birthday Marc

    +2 = 28
  3. i use an safc2. the regardless of ecu/piggy back, it is only good as it's tuner. there's nothing else really. i would check the power/dyno thread for more details, because that's what it's there for!!!
  4. a very happy birthday to marc. hope you have a good one buddy
  5. give this man a medal! my mods are also similar. swaybars, shocks, springs, master cylinder stopper, upgrade calipers & rotors, braided lines, etc. and i run on par with some GTSTs (and the odd GTR) at QR. Not to say I can beat them all, but the times I'm running certainly do not show that I am an NA. although fun, power isn't everything. also this topic has been covered quite a few times before, so i suggest you search to see what other people have said. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pl...tml&hl=cops http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mo...tml&hl=cops http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/pl...tml&hl=cops
  6. i took a photo of the sticker 17 x 8.5 +35 (for all four rims) weight? an amazing ~7.5kg!! yeah 4 studs are hard to come by, i heard from an unreputable source that only 200 (or was it 2000) sets were made. even then, this set is the 3rd set i've only seen in about 5 years.
  7. even then it'd have to be a high revving motor. the commodore/ford V8s only run 2.5"
  8. blend door actuator. try a search on it, it's a notorious r33 problem
  9. i have a stock GTR exhaust on mine, 2.5", even says Nissan CALSONIC on it. budget upgrade
  10. he's no exec, but you can feel shane all you want - just not me lol
  11. great opportunity to come meet the new execs and get a feel of what the club is about.

    Crashed R34 Gtr

    shotgun seats!
  13. the stock ecu has some flexibility in self adjusting fuel maps, with minor mods it will cope fine. a more agressive chip/retune will yield results, however will be best utilized after major mods.
  14. yes they are welcome
  15. i don't think you're genuinely sorry. what makes you an exception to being lazy when you full well know there's other threads around. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/so...ml&hl=sound let's start back on a clean slate shall we? don't let the guys around here catch you doing this again, you'll be torn to shreds.
  16. rubbish! completely rubbish!! don't listen to people who 'speculate', especially when they have no first hand experience. a high flow panel filter will give an improvement, provided you keep your intake snorkel. it's the same as replacing it with a better flowing pod filter. i've replaced mine with an apexi item, it's getting a bit dirty now and need replacement but flow was improved. tuning will be a bit of a waste, i wouldn't bother with that. it seems like everyone with a turbo somehow thinks they are an expert on NA systems because they have an extra intake mod over others
  17. my limited physics understanding (which is stuff all tongue.gif ) is that black is a better emitter of infrared energy i.e. heat. check out kirshoff's law, it says something along the lines that good absorbers of energy are good emitters (re-radiates it), thus conducting and transferring the heat much better from the engine block and other components, headers, head, etc.however white reflects heat/energy, and thus the the heat is reflected/transferred back onto the parts you want to keep cool. it's early and i think that should cover it. however let me state there is quite a fair bit of speculation and what actually happens, a lot of people say that the above can all be void since the bonnet (minus the cowl) reflects over 90% of the radiant energy back anyway. or it could all just be due to hiding oil leaks tongue.gif cheers eug
  18. moved to WA
  19. $500? it's certainly a situation that should be 'no expenses spared' i just threw chris rogers some short of $1500 the other day for an alarm. that's how highly i'd recommend him.
