  1. BMW ideas would be the way to go, start with the E46 M3. the main hurdle isn't the components required, it's the tuning and like you said the runner lengths. ideally you would initially get adjustable runners and spend hours on end on the dyno to get it right. then you would get the CF ones fabricated at the set length. however the minute you change timing, fuel mixture, tune, etc. the lengths may need to be changed again. each variable affects one another differently and each time you modify the 'optimal setting' shifts. that said, you would only do that if you were chasing the last poof-teenth of a kilowatt. most people don't care.
  2. speak for yourself!!! i can think of a whole bunch of things to do
  3. same here. i'll take the coupe 60 anyday, the fact that it's targetted E85 is also a step forward.
  4. exactly! it pretty much acts as a deadener or a sub box.
  5. #1 - hypocrite much? #2 - if you already hadn't guessed i was typing in sarcasm #3 - the original post is quite rhetorical if you had bothered to read it properly #4 - i was hinting at the fact that there are a myriad of other threads looking into the positive gains of heat shielding and providing ambient/cooler air to the intake cheers eug

    Family Man

    aristoooooooo
  7. im not entirely sure what this thread is about exactly, but i'm sure whatever you want to do to the intake it's been covered many times before.
  8. doubt it. a crate engine will cost more than a rebuild anyway. something i want to point out, you speaking with a MECHANIC about doing an ENGINE REBUILD? i'd go to a workshop that specializes in RB rebuilds, i bet you will get a different response.
  9. hey there, interesting work with the dash facia... where's your aircon vent??!
  10. that was way too confusing... oval donut oval donut oval donut. to be honest, just do what you think feels right. there is no perfect setup, not unless you want to invest the time and money on bench flow tests and buying different exhausts. it's alot of R&D involved. the 2.25" - 2.50" is a general rule of thumb!
  11. can i have your vspec seats cant wait to see this thing at QR

    My First Skidpan

didn't see the vid as it's 170MB! good to see that you're getting some steering under your belt. care to elaborate? pm if necessary are you saying the club offered nothing, or offered nothing to your liking? from memory 3 skidpan days were run last year.
  15. where did you come across that jarrod? any more information? someone i know is currently working on an RB25 head to RB26 throttle body adapter. a prototype is available and he is awaiting for some results. i am slightly considering it at this stage. it not only works out cheaper than buying/using an RB26 head - but you will also be able to retain VCT!! a port and polish of the RB25 head should get it on par with the 26.
  16. GTST one is fine. you asked this last year. please do not start more threads on similarly related topics. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=2974775

    Coby Extractors

unfortunately there won't be another one without significant interest. as much as i'd like to help you guys out again, i've run 4 of these buys already and each time it has been more money and effort on my part than anything. now that i'm an sauqld exec, moderator and in my final year of uni i have other obligations to fulfill. if there are enough people to make it feasible then we shall see.
  19. really? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pr...uel+consumption http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/o2...uel+consumption o2 sensor, service the car, maintenance, etc. troubleshoot what you've changed recently. ambient temp can also have an effect.
