    Rb26dett Vs Vr3.8tt ?!

everyone needs to lay off on the racially sensitive remarks no matter how narrow minded and stubborn bkc appears to be. he certainly is good value and adds character to the forum. i don't think he's using a translator all the time either BB, some of his posts contain common grammatical errors. sometimes they are just as bad as other forum members.
  4. should we start an 08 thread? (or change the name to 08)

funds have been sent... please be patient guys it's completely out of my hands now. and for those who want to say otherwise I have forked out an extra $60 of my own money in calls and to make up the difference in the sudden rise in exchange rate. http://finance.yahoo.com/currency/convert?...;submit=Convert

by contacting partsco directly. no flanges. the stock cats (from japan) are the long oval shaped ones, most aftermarkets are short cylindrical ones. usually a small pipe/flange is required to make the angle fit. a simple 10 minute job. no rapsy'ness at low revs for me. most people seem to get the 3k metalic ring regardless of extractors/exhaust setup. it seems to be an I6 twin cam thing, as i've heard some M3s with a similar tone yes i have the money from everyone the order has been sent, however i'm still awaiting confirmation of the order. your monies are waiting for them to provide the bank account details with the finalized totals. mic_r33 decided not to go with the GB a long time ago, i'm not sure when he placed the order - but for single orders they (partsco) do have the odd 1 or 2 sitting on the shelf. so it's a matter of packaging it and sending it off. but if you want the cheaper prices then they will want to recieve the money first, then confirm the order with coby and which coby will then manufacture the required amount. cheers eug
  13. sounds like warped rotors or something. get them machined
  14. that handy bit of info would have helped, certainly dramatizes the whole situation don't you think. regardless that's a sweet result, lets hope it translates into a nice 1/4 time.
  15. so what's the general consensus regarding: eccentric bushes vs. adjustable arms? in a nutshell; bush for street? arms for track? i previously had castor/camber bushes. i've got some new whiteline eccentric bushes to try, however my mechanic (who's heavily into track work/alignments/suspension/etc); has expressed his dis-taste for the bushes. he mentioned something about changing the pivot points of the car. would i be better off selling off the bushes and buying some arms? keep in mind i do have the ikeya alignment kit, so i do want to have a fiddle around. (steep learning curve here) p.s. - i realize there's quite a large difference in price with: bush vs. arms noltec, ikeya, cusco seem to be the ones to chase after? or should i just sit it out with the bushes i have now?
  16. you're never going to find RB26 headers unfortunately - just get the coby ones modified, shouldn't be a big drama. i've found a few rb26 heads in my years of playing around with skylines, they were expensive as a few years ago. now they seem to be floating around the 2K mark, which blows my budget out. if you really look hard you might be able to snag one up quick for a good price. i'd be more inclined to bring one over from the yahoo auctions. how's your budget holding together? it can be a headache unfortunately and it's one of those builds that needs time and money.
  17. difficult without actually seeing them. wiring is a pet hate of mine, just make sure you trace everything and label them. have you done everything he's mentioned in his post? he says that the 33 loom plugs straight in into the wipers - i take it you've done that? the wire which you mention needs to be bridged is on a nearby plug, the orange wire needs to be connected - have you done that? is it getting power?
  18. there are many threads around here detailing the pros and cons. do you want to turbo the NA motor, or throw a new motor in there? what's your budget and application? what kind of power are you looking at for the stock gear to be handling? even stock turbo gear doesn't last long with more power. you need to be more specific in your questioning/searches. i will lock this thread, have a look around for some answers and if you genuinely cant find some answers PM me know and i'll unlock this again.
  19. umm... nitrous is basically air just with a slightly higher oxygen saturation (33% compared to ~20%ish) regardless its still air/N2O (oxygen) under pressure being forced into the intake - doubtful that it would account for 18kw, i think the difference is mainly the dyno.
  20. post the tutorial link please? is there a blown fuse or something? is the motor getting power? etc

too late sorry, the order has been sent. awaiting confirmation of account details and the funds will be transferred sometime next week
  22. giggidy - i refuse to listen to any daft punk tracks for the next 2 and a bit weeks. giggidy giggidy giggidy
  23. not really... can you imagine everyone driving around and using nitrous? having the direct port injection is 'slightly' better, as all the lines should be running under the plenum. good luck with it, the legalities was one of my main reasons to stay away from it.
