doubt anyone would try that combo. 91 octane and high compression wouldn't give you any sort of reliability, or power for that matter the rb30de is already a larger capacity block/head combo, what do you want to stroke it to? 3100cc? you can bore it out if you want; oversized pistons and shorter rods? try a search; most of what you'd probably ask has been covered before. this should give you a starting point; if it hasnt been covered then ask away http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t1...l&hl=rb30de http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t1...l&hl=rb30de http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t1...l&hl=rb30de http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t1...l&hl=rb30de http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t1...l&hl=rb30de http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t8...l&hl=rb30de

might be a little hot lol, if you can last longer than 5 mins you're a proper man. my PB is 4:59.01...

i have a tomei belt. RB20DE(T), RB25DE(T), RB26DETT are all the same. only exception is RB30. can pick them up anywhere, search on nengun, perfect run, greenline. it's possible to do it yourself, but it's a mega mish to take all the other belts off. you will also need a timing light to re-check your timing. while all the other belts are off you should also change the water pump.

what an awesome duel between kubica and massa!!
-
didnt know they had gtrs in korea nice to hear you're ok joe... come back soon
-
what exactly are you asking? do you have an RB25? RB30E? i'm guessing RB30E. do the fuel pump if you want, they get old after a while. a reg isn't that important. will agree with whyte, a replacement ecu or something a little more tunable.
-
yeah they don't advertise it for whatever reason. i'm not too sure on prices to be honest, as i organized the group buy ages back. it was a significant saving though, we looked at ~$100 OFF each header. quote from my group buy thread. should be much cheaper now with the stronger aussie dollar.

wanna go for coffe nath? doing timeattack in october? will be giving this one a miss unfortunately...

good on ya. i do, and yes they are good. outright power, no. response, yes. you can get them shipped from new zealand, or pick one up second hand. all other questions can be found by searching through the NA thread, there's been alot of discussions (pros/cons) about it. far too long to discuss, it's all there though.

as would i (240 included)

ferrari's head work is miles ahead.. 3d cam profiling if only..

the best mod you can do is to improve driver skill, i think alot of people lose sight of this and it's a much simpler equation when money = power mods = instant time improvement.
-
i suppose it also comes down to driving style as well (i.e. flat shifting, granny shifting, revmatching, whatever). regardless, i still wish i had put one in when i did my clutch, i'd be around mid pack with the gtsts i reckon
-
ok i suppose i should have worded it more specifically if you're going to be picky. well not stay on boost whiles changing gears, but staying in the rev range where you would be making boost - since you're not dropping down in rpm so quickly; and having to build up again proven by the rigoli's and their old drag subaru. i'm sure there's other variables involved and no doubt it would vary from individual to individual, but they found faster 1/4 times by swapping back to the standard heavier flywheel.

have you got the cams yet? how much more lift do they have over stock? you'll have to really sit down with your mechanic about it and do some number crunching before even considering shaving. the NA25/30, depends really on which pistons you are referring to? RB30E? RB30ET? RB25DE? RB25DET (unlikely, but who knows)? also depends on the gasket they're referring to, but scratching my memory i did read something like 8.7 for the twin cam conversion. the steps now would be: - check clearance with change in cams only, see how much lee-way you have - determine what fuel is available, what the tuner is capable of, and the ecu needed. - determine the ideal ratio that will suit #2 - check what thickness gaskets are available - is it possible to achieve the desired CR with the gasket + shaving, calculate - do the valves still clear with the desired CR? if not you might need to lower it a bit. anything you can add Cris, better to pick everyone's brains for different ideas and angles before throwing dosh at it.

even if you had a spare $1M you wouldn't be able to buy it... it's different. i don't see any point in making a show and presenting it to all those people/the world if they are already sold out.

no event would be the same without

you can get nasal sprays for that
-
be worried if you didnt
-
yeah thanks for waking me up f**ker!! was it from the outside again? who's R?
-
it's early saturday forgive me; but arent' the valves controlled by the cams and their lobes? so by altering the camshaft, you are altering how the valves work. i understand that the systems are different VVT vs. NVCS, but how?
-
well said.

i was surprised that it lasted so long! definitely didn't waste time picking up the good bits, haven't been thinking about them long have you?

everyone knows the ambient at ipswich is colder nice work warwick. how was last night?
