  1. nice pic. get a tripod and set the exposure on your camera for a little longer, it'll suit the dark environment better
  2. you can set up any car for the track... an ideal track pig would be an s13/180sx
  3. if that helps get you to sleep at night...
  4. for track use...
  5. cruises are organized informally by carpark cruisers... qld doesnt have a really big circuit racing base... everyone seems happy to cruise down to the local carpark and chat for a few minutes, and then shuffle off to the next carpark. almost as boring as QR
  6. gts link seems a common one. unless you opt for an e-mange or a microtech. a pfc wasnt worth making i suppose
  7. i have an SAFC2. in all honesty, you'll see 1~5kw; but you have to look at the bigger picture and compare the AFR before and after. wont be worth doing unless you've done loads of induction/exhaust mods. bigger throttle body, cams, filter, exhaust, extractors, etc... then you can use it to clean up the tune.
  8. >>Click here for all the reasons to get a a V8<<
  9. i think the bore is different. don't quote me on it.
  10. www.partsco.com give them a go, you should be able to order from them. i cant organize a group buy without sufficient numbers sorry.
  11. QLD isnt CAMS affiliated
  12. here's a link to hawk's range of pads. http://www.bestbrakes.com/hawk_brake_compounds.shtml i personally run the: Hawk HP Plus (High Performance Street PLUS Race Worthy) - but that's only because i do a bit of track work. you mentioned how you have the: Hawk HPS (High Performance Street), which claims a: so if you're simply commuting around and braking normally, you aren't generating enough heat to get into the higher temperature range where the pads are supposed to be giving you the extra braking ability (i.e. most effective). pretty much what the guys above said initially: in regards to the rotors and fluid, they all contribute obviously in their own way. so assess the style/types of driving you intend on doing and have a quick research into which combo would give you the best performance in your given situation. so like you said, just need to drive harder or give the ceramics a go for your next set
  13. stumbled onto this site a few weeks ago, definitely something i'd love to build. would take one over a gtr ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!!! www.vq240z.com
  14. fair enough. some positive criticism if you don't mind. you really aren't doing yourself any favours by running track orientated gear for street use. the rotors, pads and fluid would be well below the efficiency zone or window, and thus hindering the quality of your braking.
  15. i run the Hawk HP+ and they have been the best pads i've used thus far, better than bendix ultimates and (another highly rated brand, name escapes me at the moment). the hawks do need a fair bit of temperature in them to be at their optimum. i am circuit racing though, not sure if you're commenting on street driving - which if the case you shouldn't/wouldn't need fancy rotors or pads. my hawks squeel like a bitch though.
  16. SPECS!!!?
  17. the 240's really hit a warm fuzzy spot inside hey. not much in terms of mods. rb25de (yes NA) with headers and a cat, going to a stock gtr catback & safc2 to clean up the afr. sydneykid bilstein/whitelines shock/spring combo front & rear whiteline swaybars front & rear strutbraces whiteline pineapples hicas lockbar front & rear whiteline camber bushes front whiteline castor bushes front & rear r32 gtst slotted rotors, calipers (rebuilt with new pistons and sleeves), braided lines with hawk HP+ pads 17x8 sparco track rims (re55 semi slicks when funds allow) 17x7 street rims with yokohamas i'll think of more as i go...
  18. my favourite out of the bunch here! not a dedicated track car, but definitely not a cruiser.
  19. is this for your skyline? aren't pillowballs for macphersons?
  20. won't even try to compete with the cosmetics, but since we're all putting pictures up.
  21. cusco has the same part numbers for both cars. unsure if stock for stock are the same though.
  22. some people 'love' their car way too much. Reggie, if you're not already on the new sau-qld forums, do check it out. http://www.sauqld.com/ipb/index.php?
