just a quick question... why 400awhp? and what would you do with it? i'm genuinely curious...
  2. the easiest way i found was to "crack" both sides first, then completely remove one side, THEN the other... and reverse to put the lock bar in.
  3. correct, the injectors and pistons are different. and it would be difficult to get 11:1 ration without some block/head decking and thin gasket. high comp forged na pistons shouldnt be too hard, i have read somewhere that the VG30(?) pistons should fit - look into bore, stroke and other specs of other available nissans. you'd be surprised.
  4. correct, it is called the x-factor
  5. sweet guys - good to hear... hope they are what you expected, they certainly meet my high standards. there are no problems with import duty chicane. i guess they'll either be using heat wrap or just leaving em as is. the hp coating in my opinion is worth it (not that i have grounds to compare), but it's sooo shiny if you guys are happy, then feel free to leave some feedback, and i will do likewise. cheers for making it such a textbook transaction. eug
  6. it's abit dodgy, but i use the tow hooks to get it up, and use axle stands. would never leave it jacked on the tow hook for extended periods.

  8. that's where i do it.
  9. here's the official update. they were sent to the post office on the saturday just gone. expect them soon fellas... sorry for all the delay, i hope you understand the amount of hands the money and parts have to go through.
  10. if it's not there, then it's not there... i'd agree with Rancher 600-750 is about normal
  11. let your car run and take a quick smell of the exhaust gases, and if it smells really fuel'y (basically like when you're at the petrol station) it's probably running rich. hard to describe... if you have an SAFC in with the standard maps, then you aren't running at ideal mixtures. Changing the O2 sensor and SAFC tune is a must. o2 sensors would generally need to be changed considering most skylines are most probably nearing 80,000-100,000km.
  12. no.. the o2 sensor does affect performance!! it tells the ecu how much fuel and air to put in when you put your foot down.
  13. if you can confirm whether it is or not, then i will consider it.
  14. not exactly... i have had alignments where positive is "out", and negative is "in". best to make sure.
  15. have just done a few chase up calls fellas... spoke to someone's father in law. they were apparently sent out a few days ago, BUT i will call again to confirm this 100%. will keep you posted
  16. o2 sensor can be bought from an SAu trader (kudosmotorsports, or Michael Sullivan). NTK one for about $120ish. an o2 sensor basically measures the air/fuel mixtures from exhaust gases. the sensor is located on the exhaust manifold/headers/extractors... (see attached pic for a rough idea on where to look in your engine bay). takes about 5 minutes to change, and is a piece of cake. not sure on how apexi get their readings, but if you're running rich or lean then it should be quite obvious. nothing a retune/dyno time can't fix.
  17. they are a pretty sweet pad hey. i just had a set put in, maaaan!! the puff of smoke/dust when you bed them in!
  18. general idea is the same though... high speed and solid braking, cool down, rinse and repeat. what pads are you using pete?
  19. how'd you do that?
  20. i have a gimp cage you can use...
  21. black 33 with characters running up the side
  22. camber settings may also be something to look into.
  23. very impressive skit. what 1/4 mile times are you running? i expect low to mid 14s? model: r33 gts25 engine: rb25de dyno dynamics modifications: custom air intake, pod filter power: 108.4rwkw dyno logistics modifications: back to standard panel filter, coby extractors, 2.5" cat and 2.5" cat back exhaust. power: 101rwkw
  24. a highflow cat isnt very expensive... regardless of $1000 or $10,000 - it's still works out cheaper.
