  1. i can help you with this.. as can NA_R33. he's done the full 5 stud hub conversion, and i've done the 4 stud with turbo rotors and calipers. try a search in the DIY or NA section.
  2. some filters use an oil to help filtration which affects the afm in some cases. maybe you bumped the afm during installation? just give the afm a quick clean and see how it goes.

    Hey Guys.

suspension mods galore!! might put some turbo boys to shame through the twisties... as for power mods, nothing really - come saturday and find out i suppose
  4. you'll need an adapater... and modify the throttle cables and really it's more hassle than its worth. the adapter is quite pricey!!

    Hey Guys.

hey there... you sound a little like me 4 years back... welcome to the NA club, you'd be surprised at how much more these cars teach you in skill - rather than constantly making more and more power to go faster. being a better driver will be the best mod ever. we have a dyno day this saturday... it'll be a good way to break the ice. looks like a nice clean 33 p.s - what size are the bbs rims? i might be keen
  9. i think lazy-bastard may have one in black, give him a PM

    Wanted!

The EOS 400D Enthusiast Kit includes the EOS 400D Body, and additional EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens. is that a good all rounder lens?

    Wanted!

been looking at the 400d enthusiast kit... still not cluey on lenses, any ideas?
  12. yeah guys.. sorry - i did say that they would be about a month from when i transfer the money to them till delivery. the fact that they need to be fabricated from scratch and passed through from coby to hpc coaters then back to coby, then to partsco then to delivery does slow it down a fair bit. they only keep a few on their shelves. that said - the transfer was made tuesday morning. i have taken measures to ensure the order, price and delivery addresses are correct... it is out of my hands now. rest assured they will come - cheers for your patience.
  13. like BHDave said, stiffen the rear up a bit. although if it's just in the wet then i personally would be a inclined to leave it as is, unless you only drive when its raining or have a dry and wet setup??
  14. cheers for clearing that col... i'm thinking i need some fuel management. hahahah yeahhh!!! Rossy, bring out the 180!!
  15. sorry buddy... i'll be making the transfer this afternoon
  16. the standard cams can only be mildy regrounded. standard: 240º and 7.8mm lift (from memory, don't quote me on that) and from what i read somewhere on here ages back, you can get them reground to: inlet: 255º and 8.2mm lift exhaust: 258º and 8.2mm lift if you do take the head off, maybe see if you can: - deck the block or head a little to bump up compression - port and polish - cam gears - extrude honing?? - thinner head gasket - also check for piston vs. valve clearance. stock cams are 240 degrees duration with 7. 8 mm lift
  17. can you ask what the dyno graph's axes will show on the print out? i'm keen to see how my afr's are and would prefer RPM to KM/HR
  18. Model 7's are made by AVS. Not 100% sure if that is the same as Advan or not. but I quite like those rims... in fact I have exactly the same style but with 8 spokes instead (i like symmetry). the way that the spokes come right to the lip of the rim make the wheels look bigger than they really are. only draw back = no dish, but dish is for posers =P
  19. according to the guy above me, not really. that said labor is the big killer in these kinds of things. with most mechanics charging $60-80/hour the costs easily add up.
  20. i'd like to be on a mailing list also
  21. a mate and i are wanting to get into photography - and at the moment we are just fiddling with your regular digitals. i have a sony cybershot and he has a nikkon - both pretty cheapish. will probably be interested in getting a DSLR in future if all goes well. in the mean time i'm quite content with these cheapies. - i've noticed once transferring the pics to a computer that signs and poles tend to find their way behind the cars. - still need to fiddle with exposure settings (any help as to what the numbers etc mean?) - reflections of people, tripod and pipes etc tend to get annoying. we spent the good part of 2-3 hours just mucking around and trying to find our zone. but we are pretty clueless on whitebalance, iso, and basically everything else. any feedback or hints and tips would be much appreciated. here are a few sample shots, none of these have been retouched - only smaller res.
  22. yip! saw it come through last night. the email has been drawn up and sent off, should hopefully receive a reply on monday and i can transfer the money across by mid/late next week. will keep you guys in the loop. Breathless: I've enquired about combined postage for the two extractors they are sending you, i'll see if i can save you a few bucks.
  23. don't know if this still applies - but i guess it's a good figure to work around
  24. just had mine overhauled... my mechanic had them sent away to a caliper specialist. basically they replaced the rubber boots, pistons and resleeved the calipers, took the whole thing apart and cleaned the whole lot out. although i cant help you with the kit - i can help you with costs. fronts $195 (pair) not incl. labour rears $165 (pair) not incl. labour
