i'm not too cluey with cams/cam gears, but i would consider them to be a fairly heavy mod to any car - and obviously some form of tune is required to compensate for the changed conditions. safc would be good, as would an itc (ignition timing controller) would be required to get the most out of your mods. in terms of 02 sensor, a uni fit one will do the job nicely. but kudosmotorsports (sau sponser) sell NTK ones for about $100-120'ish. direct screw out, screw in, plug out, plug in. in terms of what will fit your car - do you have extractors? if it's the standard rb20de headers then that's what will fit.

dude, turn your phone on. got a call about it 10mins ago - the car has been found in a park at ****** heights. get in contact with neil or myself if you already dont know. cheers eug http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....howtopic=189250 http://www.cruisingbrisbane.com/forum/inde...st&p=641934

Rb25de, Rb20de & Rb30e Coby Extractors/headers Group Buy #2
Eug replied to Eug's topic in Group Buys
i'm not too crash hot with that r31skylineclub buyer, but i have sent an email a few minutes ago asking quotes for 3 buyers and 4 buyers respectively (see first post). i am quite disappointed with the others who have wasted my time and money. will hopefully know by late next week and let the ones who are serious know. read the forums for updates as that is where i'll communicate easiest with most people. -
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA... aaaanyway... go a triple plate. it'll be sweet.

interested!! how much are we looking at in terms of cost? few of us from brisbane will be keen

alright, i've got my gear on. for the record: - 2.5" outlet coby extractors - 2.5" cat converter - standard r33 gtr catback exhaust (2.5") first impressions, much fatter mid range, no change in overall power, driveability is much better, each gear revs right out much more. the overall power thing intrigued me a fair bit. i requested to keep my old system. came home and measured it all up.. what do you know. the cat converter was a 2.5" item (from compliance). the strange thing was that the standard cat-back system measured 2.25" right after the cat and becomes a 2.5" right before the muffler this is the stock r33 gts25 system. i think i could get away with just replacing the extractors and the cat on its own. however i am yet to give it a full bootfull just yet. with a largish system, the power will be made mainly in the high rpm range. idle sound is a very very quiet hum, and makes noise up to 4k rpm, after that it just screams like an na motor. but, you do need to drive it a bit for the carbon deposits to settle and fill in any gaps - only time will tell. i am booked in for a dyno day in 2-3 weeks, i will post up the results after. cheers eug

Is This A Standard Skyline/nissan Colour?
Eug replied to 32DET's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
that's one of our TK member's old cars... it is just a standard grey with a solid polish/wax. that pic is about 2 years old now though. -
not sure about the exhaust sizing in the r34s, but in the r32/r33's the turbo variants have a slightly larger exhaust. i'd not expect them to extract every last kilowatt from your setup, but bang for buck wise - they'd be a cheap and reasonably more than enough upgrade. considering you can pick up a stock exhaust for next to nothing.
-
springs and shocks are easy to install... ideally two people make it much much easier, but i've done it just by myself before. a set of axle stands and a trolley jack with sockets and spanners.
-
are you looking for a budget upgrade for power? or something that sounds good? i'm about to throw a standard GTR exhaust onto my NA, it's 2.5" and lines up exactly. giggidy

received my shocks today.. gi-gg-idddy!! cheers gary

coilovers are easy to fit... i'm a bit weiry about these "coilover" packages. spring rates, rebound rates etc... unless they are designed for australian roads, it'll be pretty redundant to have them. i'd be more inclined to opt for the australian tein spec coilovers or sydneykid's revalved suspension buy. for under $1700 you get castor/camber bushes, pineapples and adjustable height suspension with re-engineered valving. you cant go wrong. really depends on your car application. i found that my standard springs and shocks (although hideous looking) had pretty good spring and rebound rates.

Brake's Never Stop Squiling!
Eug replied to matteh33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
did you bed them in properly? -
good luck with the bushes.

got mine done by the same guys. jason is the guy you want to speak to. i think they work from home now. they are really good guys - my driver side tint ended up having a bit of grit inside, and my passenger side didnt exactly line up properly when the door closed (glass moves abit when door opens/close). and they fixed em up free of charge. not the cleanest of photos. but its a quality job

Buying A Car Ramp For Servicing? Which Ones R Good?
Eug replied to LatinR33's topic in General Maintenance
my mate reversed onto a pair of ramps and had them slide and kick in under the car. i personally dont use mine anymore, not even to drive forwards onto. clutch doesnt like it, and it's always such a heartbeat kinda moment when you go up. -

just a quick question.. where do they mount up in the skyline? a) to the seatbelt brackets? b) need to drill into the chassis? cheers!
-
you could probably change the original liquid filled cradle bushes. it's a big job though - the whole cradle needs to be dropped. i've been told that it's easily a good couple of hours kinda job.

shipping price is fixed. these headers are reasonably heavy and large, and they are coming internationally. prices are also fixed by partsco. so a quick answer is no. i cant - i paid exactly the same prices as everyone else. wont add much power wise (around 5kw), but will increase driveability and give a fatter midrange considerably. it's also advised to change the cat and catback exhaust to suit (which is where the dyno/power gains are more noticeable)
