  4. does the ticking noise get faster as you increase speed? i've had it a few times - normally its just a rock caught in the thread
  5. LMAO to beat glenn's GTR time =P
  6. easily obtained from Nissan Service Parts the guy printed out the schematics and part numbers for R32 Type M calipers for me
  7. i got them through nissan... couldnt source them anywhere else. mind you there werent cheap, for a metal backing plate, shim kit and 4 pins. :S
  8. how do they look? i'm itching for mine now
  9. silverbulletR33: i'll quote a post i previously wrote for someone. i think it summarises how many of the NA members feel. keep in mind it is directed at another member, and i'm in no way being rude towards you. but have a read. merry christmas to you too
  10. yip... have known about 10 different cars that have gone in there without a problem.. in fact my car is there right now. for someone that has targa cars and an ultima gt sitting in the workshop - i'd say he's a pretty cluey guy
  11. huddy, R32 GTR (sumitomo) and R33 GTST (sumitomo) calipers are exactly the same. so you could well have GTR calipers. Some R32 GTRs (vspec?) came with brembo calipers, and i'm pretty sure all R33 GTRs came with brembos. R32 GTST and Z32 (sumitomo) calipers are slightly smaller, and are easily distinguished by ribs on the surface of the calipers. as seen below
  12. so why bother modding your gtst? go buy a zonda, m5 or db9. don't be such a narrow minded spanner, people have non turbo cars for various reasons. learn to appreciate that.

  14. a mob in brisbane makes RB25 clears
  15. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=138169 have a look there... just a reminder that the above thread is NOT for asking questions. all these "what should i do?" "how much power will i get?" questions have been asked before, it's all about searching around and reading past threads.
  16. as long as it remains only mildly modded and that you dont thrash it. yeah.
  17. awesome idea, makes cleaning the little bird bath so much easier. the only one i've seen is from the kustom karbon bootlid. i guess you could just bolt the drift wing + glue it down solid, then lay a light fibreglass layer in and around.
  18. good luck w/ it!! keep us updated!
  19. try an interior trimmer... i got lucky and walked in when the boss was on his lunch break, some drop out was hanging around looking after the joint and gave me about 2metres worth for $10 (which i'm pretty sure he pocketted). score!
  20. there is already another thread on this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=147763
  21. personally i think its quite important. i like to play some fairly bassy music, and i high-passed my 6x9s at the rear so they tend to vibrate a fair bit. i suppose you could use left over carpet - if it's thick enough. i personally found that the compression of the foam gave the whole shelf a nice snug fit, and gave some piece of mind in any rattles. ultimately its up to you, i cant see why the left over carpet shouldnt work. any regular foam should be good. i got mine from bunnings it was something like $2 per metre. we bought about 5 meters worth for 2 cars. we bought some with a plastic backing (easier surface to glue) let us know how you go... good to see some diy happening.
  22. that sounds about rightish for a low compression na... mine used to get 500+ easily... lately around 470, but its running rich and going into the mechanic soon.
  23. sweet... i think i read somewhere further up that 32 gtst and 32 gtr had the same pad - had a brain seizure. eish.
  24. i did that on a friend's s13 install, but instead of a router i drilled a hole slightly smaller than the head, put an even smaller washer in and hammered the hex head in. that way it would hold while we wing-nutted it from underneath. on my car, i put in the child restraint to bolt it down. sounds like your pretty much well clued and on your way... just be sure its down securely, the more solid it is the better the sound quality. dont forget to put some foam underneath the shelf.
  25. dont r32 gtr have two types??? - non brembo (i.e. sumitomo) which like you said are the same as r33 gtst - brembo which are different again. to clarify we are talking about r32 gtst right? to4gtr says they have the same pad as gtst? which one, the brembo or non brembo? (if the same is non-brembo that makes the pads the same as r33 gtst?) anyone with a solid answer?
