Building Your Own Parcel Shelf; Update: Progress Of Shelf
Eug replied to Rekin's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
nice, very clean work... looks like how i pretty much did mine. have you thought about how you'll hide the screws in bolting the shelf down after you've carpeted it? i have a few suggestions if you're keen. -
doesnt SAu NSW hold dyno days?
-
normally you get two types of runs. 1. power run normally three runs (depending on the place) to get a power reading. this will simply just tell you how much power you are making takes about 10 minutes, i've normally paid about $50 give or take. 2. tune they will fiddle with your power fc, safc or whatever gizmo you got, and fine tune air fuel mixtures, boost, etc. like you said find problems and let you know if you want them fixed or not. depending on what and who, you're looking at a couple of hours and looking into alot more money

Need Advice On What To Do With Audio System
Eug replied to The White Knight's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Basti, the black arrows are the correct one. also need to include battery/power source and you'd be sweet. a monoblock is a term for a "single channel amp" the core difference between a 4 channel and a monoblock (aka single channel) is effectively how many channels/speakers they can amplify. 4 channel = 4 speakers monoblock = 1 speaker (sub) then you have bridging, where you short two of the channels together to make one channel (so a 4 channel into a 3 channel). when you bridge two channels together this bridge will have a higher power output (1+1 rule sort of applies) normally around double the original - give or take. bridging is normally so you can make more power to run a sub off the bridged channels. not all amps can be bridged (most 4 channels can nowadays), and it is a cheaper alternative to PJ's step 3. on a mates car i did a similar setup and instead of buying a monoblock we bridged the 4 channel for the sub and ran the rear speakers off the headunit for fill. -
i'd like to know also

yeah a mate and i bought a pair each off this guy, said they were for a s1, but they turned out to be clearly for a s2... like teh dude above, not the best quality. ours needed to be sanded back and prepped and maybe a little more fibreglass before you could even consider painting and fitting. both eyelids weren't identical either (i.e. weren't bent in the same way - but obviously mirrored)

first time i've seen something like this. http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/4075/1000183hf6.jpg found on this car. i'm thinking its a drifter? and one pair of the rear calipers is hooked up to a hydralic handbrake or something. sharing is caring =P

hpc coated: sent last thursday/friday - expected delivery mid next week or beginning of week after. non-hpc coated: sent tuesday - expected delivery, end of this week early next week. as you all know there is obviously the christmas rush, i don't know by how much that will effect things but just keep that in mind. i'm itching to get these babies onto the car. keep an eye out guys -
i've been looking into one of these as well... the double din is a really nice stock look, all black and very stealth.

no its not my forum... and i'm certainly not telling you what to do, but there is a thread pretty much on par as to what your talking about. it's just the general etiquette here... but no one is stopping you, i thought i'd just pass on what was told to me. there is however a fine line between being lazy and genuinely clueless.
-
jeez man - play 20 questions hey. there's a thread just below yours with RB30 power increase (or something similar) - the principals are pretty much the same have a read through that. also try a search in the NA section there is a plethora of information here. there is an extractors thread which discusses alot of exhaust mods, along with prices and names. a better cat will give increase in performance in both power and driveability. it's pretty obvious you lack the fundamentals of how things work and what not. it's my suggestion that you have a read through/search some of the older threads to get cluey.

Rb25de, Rb20de & Rb30e (skyline & Cefiro) Extractors/headers Group Buy

specrx: they've screwed up your order - a replacement is being organized. so sorry, its totally out of my hands. i called them yesterday afternoon and had a very stern talk with charlie. she assured me that she is getting it all sorted and sent me an email the next day. at this stage i am quite unhappy with her efforts, i am also waiting on my set of extractors so i am just as eager as you guys. -
paul's rb25det r31 was an animal!! guess it comes down to what you'd rather - a real snappy hi powered car, or a well balanced car that is fun and driveable. sandy, rb30et's have been known to make biiig power and some VLs are running some decent 1/4 mile figures

sorry buddy - you've missed out. this group buy is now closed. you can get in contact with them yourselves... when ours come through i may try to enquire for you to see if they'll allow a "last minute" buy. i wouldn't count on it. to answer your question, it all depends on what you want. if you already have a cat back or not? and what size system you want to run. -
best check the r31skylineclub forums... i've seen some good numbers from the RB30E... best question to ask is, what is your goal and application for the car?
