  1. 17x7 runnning 225 (rear) 215 (front) yokohama c.drives for street. endura "racing" rims - not heavy, not light,. 17x8 running 255 (rear) 235 (front) random brand tyres for track - will be changing them over to semi slicks when they wear down. these are sparcos, they arent the lightest but they arent heavy either. 15x6 alloy stocko rims with 215 tyres for drags. lightweight rims are a good idea, since we lack a bit of torque and power to get the rear wheels turning, on track its fine - for drags or regular street use, you are hindering your off the line performance.
  2. you also have an exposed nipple between your throttle bodies? have no idea what it is - seems like an R34 NA thing.
  3. mate of mine had an s2 front bar on his s1... his s1 headlights lipped over the edge a little bit. all you need is the s2 reo with the s2 bar.
  4. your picture isnt so clear... is it a plate or a sticker? if its a sticker, then probably they just used the same sticker across most of the RB25DE(T) models. i know for stuff like compliance; they have a sticker for mine which is for the DET, and a user manual for the DET,
  5. you should receive yours well before anybody else buddy, since you have air freight and are not waiting on hpc coating. check the link in my sig to check the group buy thread for updates. according to the email i recieved yours was sent out on the 29th of november so give it 3-6 working days... expect them around the end of the coming week, or beginning of the week after. let me know otherwise. please be patient, this stuff is coming internationally
  6. 20% - it can be a little bit of a bitch at night, but its a happy medium between looks and practicallity
  7. there is also another one available for the r33s which sit ontop of the struts and goes over the parcel shelf (quite annoying and ugly, in a street car). the one nismo_freak posted is one i got for my 33, it's either a 40th anniversary, series 2 option or a standard gtr item... not overly rare, but not common to get a hold of.
  8. alright dudes and dudettes, just to keep you in the loop. Specrzx: your non-hpc coated extractors have been received by partsco and are on their way, please keep an eye out. the rest of us: they are still at the hpc coaters, its taking a bit of time, since the extractors come from coby, to partsco, then to get the outlets modified, then to the hpc coaters, then back to partsco, etc etc... i will keep you guys posted. cheers for your patience.
  9. michael, interested in a cat, and have a couple of questions. 1/ do the cat prices apply only if you buy a dump/front pipe? or are we able to buy it individually? 2/ are you able to get 2.5" cats? 3/ by "bolt on" does that mean they come with flanges? or a welding "bolt on"? 4/ any performance difference between the small body and large body apart from physical? i.e any figures on flow rate? 5/ delivery to brisbane, qld for one of these cats. cheers eug
  10. oxygen sensor (o2 sensor/lambda) should be on the manifold, the one on the cat is a temperature sensor.
  11. go down to your local nissan parts dealer and they can bring up a schematic of the calipers with part numbers of the shim kit, pins, clips, etc. did the same for r32 calipers. takes 5 minutes.
  12. volumetic vacuum
  13. the standard catylic convertor is known to be a source of restriction in most exhaust systems... i'm currently looking into cats as well, and have narrowed my selection to as you say a magic cat or a magnaflow, they've both been pretty well rated. don't expect a 30kw gain on an NA motor though, your looking around 5-10kw (just a general guideline) i believe that an exhaust note is partly due to the size, as well as the materials, along with the design - a thin tin can style exhaust is going to "rattle" much louder than a thick dense solid well designed exhaust. it just comes down to what you prefer? weight? sound? etc... its really a factor of alot of things would be good if everyone could post up their specs here, and we'll all try to seperate the good from the bad.
  14. well put scott. on a side note, how much was the fujitsubo catback? i'll be redoing my entire system from extractor back, and currently looking into hiflow cats, resonator and a catback to add to it.
  15. congratulations on the buy buddy, this forum is a bank of information so have a little search around and read some articles. question: why'd you buy an R33 with the RB20DE engine? have fun!
  16. yeah buddy, sounds like you got the raw end of the deal. take it back and ask them to fix it till your happy, and yes you should also get your stock one back (never know when you'll need it) with regards to low end torque, what exhaust did you have on previously?
  17. your mph indicates a much faster time.. something like low 15s or possibly even a high 14. i reckon an LSD from another R33, and improved launches, maybe some 16" rims and tyres and you'll be running heaps better
  18. when i was doing a little shopping around, i found nengun to be the cheapest, around $800 ish in total incl. delivery i think.
  19. hey buddy, got a coupla answers for you. - the front bar your talking about is actually a bottom lip which goes on to the standard series 2 bar. - if you keep an eye out you might be able to pick one up on the forums. - advantages of awd are; better launches, better grip in the turns, attessa. - disadvantages; some people find rwd more predictive, less overall power since power is transferred to front wheels, not ideal if you like to hang the arse out a bit (not to say its not do-able ) - the only way to run RWD in an R33 is by dropping the front shafts or with a torque split convertor. - R32 just pull the fuse.
  20. disgusting! sorry to hear dude.
  21. no worries specrx, glad i was able to fit you in. best to do these international things once and do them right - saves lots of hassles.
  22. transfer has been made. waiting game begins. eug
  23. alright guys - just a quick update. finalized all the delivery addresses, and got all of you to confirm the order and details partsco are setting up an account for me to deposit internationally (don't know why they didn't have one already). so i will be making the payment within the next few days if they can provide me with all the details. funds will take 5-7days to clear, and after that its outta my hands. will keep you guys posted.
  24. you my friend have hit the nail on the head.
