  1. 4x114.3 15x6 with 205/60/15 Offset around +30
  2. no idea how u mixed them up. like i said in my pm to you, most skylines would probably just share parts between for all the various options in skylines. well no most people don't like hicas, its ok for street use, makes turning a breeze, but for track work it makes the rear end unsteady and unpredictable... you saved $150 for a hicas lock bar (elminates hicas on hicas enabled skylines) - that silver thing in usherly's post.
  3. personally yes. I'm currently out for an apexi, pipercross or K&N one at the moment. local repco, autobahn will have them. go to the 'general maintence' section and search panel or pod or filter and have a quick read through the results to confirm what i just said.
  4. any idea if you can get this done for an R33?
  5. thought you said you had a hicas ecu and a light on the dash? from the photos no hicas there... congratulations you just saved yourself $150.
  6. i've had a pod filter with a metal foam heat shield, with aluminum backing, modified the heat shield to use the original snorkel... i made exactly the same amount of power as with the panel filter 108.4rwkw (panel) and 108.0rwkw (pod). afr's fiddled around a bit, didnt drive any signifcantly different. if anything the car holds revs a bit better during shifts with the panel. the only thing you really get from a pod filter is the induction noise, its like a farken vacuum when you open the bonnet - pissed me off. the panel filter is good on gtr's and can handle anywhere in excess of 200rwkw. its been proven by many of the turbo guys. put it in perspective the mines r34 gtr runs a panel filter (which is a very similar (if not the same) size as the na panel filters. pod filter is pretty much for noise only. not only that your engine bay looks tacky unless you have a proper cai and heatshield made up... however that is my opinion and the best way for you to find out is to try it out yourself. that said, here's some answers to your questions. - the pod is ok to have in queensland, but must be secured by brackets. - yes it is sucking in hot engine temps, so a cai and heatshield is a must. - yes you can make one where the original intercooler piping goes (just be careful of scooping up water). - the best pod filter on the market is an apexi power intake pod filter. you would have found the answer if you had searched the forums, which brings up this link: http://mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/ (have a read of this) i've currently gone back to my panel filter after doing my spark plugs a few days ago, and getting rid of that stupid induction sounds has to be one of the best things. in regards to pod filters and intakes, the only time i'd probably run a pod filter ever again would be on the track with my headlight out. josh, i'll say this again like when you pm'd me. you're relatively new try to search the forums for some answers to your questions, if you can't find any then post. eug
  7. you could spray it into the intake ahahha
  8. agreed. that's what I did... see here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...67&hl=ecr33
  9. it's called the X factor - its a combination of spoke design, rim design and offset. some rims have thin spokes, some thick. some spokes go all the way to the lip of the rim, thus clearing the hub contact surface, etc. the only way to avoid it in future is to buy rims which you KNOW ppl have used, offset, width etc. or to trial fit them. at this current stage, if you dont want to sell your rims is to use spacers, or (depending on where your rims are fouling) you can grind the NISSAN logo on your calipers back a bit
  10. FAST will come out with 4WS (4 wheel steer) it shouldnt say hicas, if you want i can run your vin number through my copy of fast to double check. edit: my bad it actually does say HICAS.
  11. hmm.. its debateable hey... it is some form of forced induction, but its not something thats always used. my stance on it is that you can run nos and be NA, its just "another mod". same with those that consider cars that run semi-slicks to be "track cars" to me is just another mod.
  12. for road use its the best invention ever! but for spirited track driving it tends to make the rear end unpredictable and unsteady
  13. yeah i also use teh ciggie lighter ben
  14. tuned length extractors and to a cat-less exhaust hanging out the side and you have one hell of an NA. not to mention a lightened flywheel and upgraded diff. thinking about those ITB butterflies makes me wet..
  15. nismo suspension isnt standard. irs stands for independent rear suspension - what this means that each of the rear wheels is independently sprung, as opposed to a rear axled car. hicas refers the the four wheel steer movement of the rear wheels, the simplest way to check if you have hicas is to turn your car keys into the acc position and check your dash for a hicas light. you can even feel the rear end turn its wheels when you go around a round-about, it tends to feel slightly drifty. most people lock the hicas as it tends to make the rear end unpredictable for track use.
  16. yeah i'd like to also know power output and dyno graphs. what is it like to drive?
  17. ahh that sucks dude... did it dose?
  18. haha yeah, an RB26 head is not something you find lying around... unfortunately... agree, the happy medium is the killer - but at the same time you're just dying to have the best parts to do it. especially with an NA, where your trying to extract every last kilowatt. unlike a turbo where if you lose some power here and there, its just a matter of adding more boost to make up for it. in regards to hypereutectic pistons, i dont know anyone thats had experience with them - but from what i've read and heard about, they are like a happy medium between stock and forgies, they are an aluminum silicon combo, and seemed to be raved about for NA motors... edit: found a wiki link, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypereutectic_piston actually you can pretty much google it.
  19. ahhh dont bullshit slip... although an RB30 block would be sweet. RB26 head is where its at... so although he has the components to build one, they arent the best..
  20. this certainly died in the ass quick... anyone got any contacts?
  21. agreed... the 'super light' one looks like the 'light' one just drilled out more. and if it is, i'd say it would be weaker than the 'light' one...
