hi just thought all you R33 GTR series 3 owners would like to know that if your unlucky enough that a HID globe blows instead of buying a genuine panasonic one via japan for $350 get your nissan dealer to get you a renault one same wattage same connection same everything except one location guide which on your headlight you just snip off ( very small piece of plastic ) and for only $250 which is alot cheaper its worth the small mod it works and looks just the same.

[also what is the difference between bar plate and fin?? bar and plate are more common on drag cars personally there i think there isnt much diff but tube and fin is the way to go size doesnt matter too much but depends on ya budget many of my mates have hybrid and work just as good as any jap made cooler but the jap ones are certainly better i use a trust cooler and will only buy jap made ones personal preference.

it has a clip to release the globe and a screw too undo clip but there is a metal casing that i cant remove and a meshing that is attached than runs down the inside of the light plus the globe is 2 inches long with a some sort of element rod which makes it very difficult

does anyone know how to change the gas globes on the HID's on late R33 GTR's ive taken back off light but cant get globe and meshing out

yeah the other restrictor goes on a hose at bottom of plenum right at the back really difficult to get too. The hose runs off plenum and goes down and joins back onto hard piping joined to block there should be a yellow band still around hose hope this helps & good luck
