You dont want to mount it too far away from the engine as it will increase the viscosity of the oil. therefor slowing the speed of the oil returning to the engine, potentially reducing oil pressure. kinda reversing the the fact of installing an oil cooler

Hey jo. You could always try getting some alloy blocks made up to act as sorta washers from the rails to the seat, to increase the height an inch or so. you wont get too much height this way as the higher you go the weaker it will get. could try to weld and modify the 33 GTR seat brakets too. Apart from that you cant do too much as it will be too unsafe and weak. as for the 34 GTR seats i think they are the same mounts and the same height. good luck. can you mount the seats on the stagea seat brackets? mike

At the end of the day matty if you buy the rebuilt GTR and IF the N1 pump goes (which i dont think will happen) you still have allot of mods done to this car. on the other hand WHEN the std oil pump goes on the other GTR's you still have to pull the engine appart to fix the problem. N1 oil pumps generally will be fine in a 32, more so compared against the std so really its a better call to buy the rebuilt GTR, in my opinion anyway. hope the info helps matty

Matty, sounds like that GTR has the 33 GTR crank in it. The snout they mention is the end that fits into the oil pump. So yeah that motor sounds good. Now ya just need to decide which to buy. If it were me id lean towards the rebuilt motor one. Its all done for ya, just depends on the rest of the car I guess

If the rebuilt motor 32 has had the crank shaft changed to a 33 GTR one or had it sleeved id go for that one. One of the major floors with the 32 GTR motor is the crank design into the oil pump. It has about 5mm of contact and is the first thing that goes. You completely lose oil pressure and you need to pull the motor to replace the pump. They fixed the design with the 33 GTR crank. Hope that helps with ya decision

yeah your right,i did mean only a aftermarket bov. And unless they have changed the rules at regency then turbo timers are illegal, they even search for them if you stuff them up your dash.

If it was my car, firstly I wouldn't have bought a defected skyline but bov, Exhaust, needs to be std. If the body kit is dodge, fix it or rip it off. Can't have any oil leaks. cv or steering rack boot leaks. Check kid interior for turbo timer. Seat belts in good nick. Std air box and Std cooler helps. Std suspension. Pretty much if you bought it defected ill take it back to a Std skyline. Go to regency once, saves time and money. Good luck
