Hey guys I’m putting my 180sx wiring loom back into my car and I’ve run the interior harness out I’ve noticed that on the passengers a pillar there seems to be a section of holes where zip ties would go as if to run a thin 4 wire harness to the roof I’ve searched through all of my stuff to try and find this harness but I can’t seem to find anything. I’m just wondering what the passengers side a pillar( on the windscreen) harness/wiring is actually for as I have already wired up my interior lights cheers

Hello! I’ve read multiple post on similar issues as I’m having but following their steps hasn’t brought me much closer to solving my issue it feels like. So, I created a new one! Issue: I installed a brand new alternator after thinking my old alternator was the issue but I’m having the same problems. The alternator is not charging the battery at 14v resulting in constant recharge to be able to drive it for another 5 days before the voltage gets too low that it can be harmful to multiple components. When car is off: 12.43V When car is on: 12.51V Diagnose: With a multimeter on VDC 20V, I attached the negative probe to the negative side of the battery. Then, I measured all the grounds on the alternator while car is on. Negative Side of Alternator alternator ground to block: 0.05V alternator case: 0.05V alternator bracket: 0.04V alternator battery power stud: 2.5V alternator Battery power nut: 2.5V chasis to block where alternator ground is hooked up to: 0.05V Grounds around alternator: 0.05V With a multimeter on VDC 20V, I attached the positive probe to the positive side of the battery. Then, I measured Voltage drop while car is on. Positive Side of Alternator Alternator Battery Power stud: 9. 47V Alternator Battery Power Nut: 9. 47V Rechecked grounds on alternator: 12.42V The 75Amp fuse is receiving 11.8v on the top pin and 0.01V on the bottom. Where I’m At: With the diagnose I’ve done I’ve determined that the grounds have a prettt good connection, the 75Amp fuse is good, but there is a substantial voltage drop of 9.47V. Question: Does anyone know why a voltage drop could occur and how do I fix it? Could the battery be the issue?

Hello! Lucky me, I’m mostly asking this question to see if I should stop driving my car or if it’s okay. As I was bringing the front of my car off the jack, the frame slipped, and my jack pushed my radiation up up up up and cracked my fiberglass hood. It also bent my harmonic balancer pulley on my RB25DET where the power steering belt goes just a little bit, looks more like a scrape but does have a little bit of a bend. Should I be concerned about the pulley? I have driven for a day, did a couple of highway pulls in 3rd, cruises, everything feels okay, maybe a little shaky but it could be my own paranoia! Haha. Thank you!

Hello guys! This week’s car problem isssssssss the fuel gauge is reading incorrect fuel level (always at full or close to full) I have an RB25DET wired to a S13 hatchback fuel sending unit. I have double checked that the fuel gauge is grounded properly and connected correctly. So, next step was to check the fuel sending unit which I found is reading 0-2 ohm in both fuel and empty. So! That means it is reading the incorrect resistance. Is there a way I could fix this without buying a whole new sending unit, perhaps a resistor? Thank you all!

I know it's not a skyline but I've owned a and built a few so I thought I'd put this here. At the rate I'm going I'll be lucky to finish this project in my lifetime, maybe this will keep me going.. Anyway unfortunately I don't have all fancy pictures like other threads, everything looks rough and dirty now because it is. I got some parts last week so that's why I thought I'd get on here and make some progress. Just a bunch of random stuff in no order. Gearbox (Z33) crossmember, just finished welding this, needs to be cleaned up and painted. 350z DBW pedal and VQ37VHR throttle bodies. As you can probably tell from the above picture I am going dual throttle, this came about because the stock inlet plenum won't fit under the bonnet/hood (for you Americans) and it looks ugly as hell. So I've decided to go for for something similar to the R35 GTR plenum. Here is the flange for the inlet manifold and exhaust flanges as well, I'll start working on the inlet soon. And here's the part that makes it TT, I'm sure a lot of people will be disappointed here by these small turbos (R33 GTR), but they're really just to use for test fitting and I will get some gtr upgrade turbos later. My next step is inlet/exhaust manifolds.

Okay, so i have decided to sell my 180SX, most people like a reason for the sale, and that is that i just need the cash. $8000. It is as follows, not the cleanest one on the market but also not a modded piece of crap Drift Rig with a million dents and scratches. I will picture the bad areas of the car, and list the good aswell It is a 1993 Manual 180SX, running an SR20DET with an s14 T28 Turbo, strong gearbox never heard any sort of crunch at all. There may be a stage 2 clutch put through it i dont remember. I bought it defected and put it through regency first go, because i went through the whole car and did nearly everything i thought they would pick on Includes the Following All seals and gaskets in the motor, minus the head gasket as there was no need including turbo dump gasket, gearbox mount and all swaybar/boots/joint rubbers around the running gear, 4 wheel-wheel alignment about 200ks ago The motor when i bought the car had 55,000 ks on it after a rebuild, but i dont have the papers and that was at 138,000 ks on the car. The car now has 155,000 ks so you do the math on the ks on the motor. The body on the car isn't perfect but it isn't bad either, i can upload more daytime pictures if anyone needs them, and yes the car does come with a steering wheel. The carpet on the drivers side is worn with a bit of a hole but otherwise very clean. I have uploaded pictures of the car with 2 sets of rims, it can come with either set if you choose but the alloy finish ones need tyres, not wear from "burnouts" just wear on the inner side from camber, which was from the skyline in the background, if anyone is interested to, the skyline is for sale aswell, basic info: Non turbo 1995 R33 with 153,000 ks. Now at 28deg at 8000rpm WOT! Over 320+kw now! I have now bought a second set of Yellow Jackets for a mates R32 GTR which had a constantly changing misfire, even after gapping the plugs to 7mm and replacing them. He wanted to upgrade the turbo's for higher boost, so I said he would have to change the coilpacks. He was dubious that this would fix ALL his problems, so the turbo's were fitted. No improvement of the misfire after installing the turbos, running them in and resetting the ECU. So I fitted the coils, gapped the plugs to 1.1, and reset the ECU. He didn't believe me that this was going to work, but low and behold, smooth idle, acceleration, and cruise! He couldn't believe the difference in the 'seat of your pants' feel in acceleration (stock boost). Going to do a dyno run soon to see what the difference at stock boost is compared to original figures. Then a re-tune and add a boost controller. Bang for buck, these Yellow Jackets cant be beat! Unfortunately, out doing a "road test" in the R33 GTR, with the street tires, and now with bucket loads of extra torque, managed to break second gear. Same sort of use/abuse with the old coils packs couldn't produce the same 4 wheel power slides, just under heavy acceleration! Luckily I had a spare gearbox, so I could make it to the track days. Hey Guys I have a 1998 R34 GT-T that is fitted with the factory Aero kit. I want to install a FMIC as mine is stock but do not want to cut or modify my front bumper. Does anyone know what is required to install one with this kit and point me in the direction of what I should be buying? I would prefer a black one as I don't want it to stand out, planning on building a sleeper as its my daily. Thanks in advance for your help. Cleaning out my garage.. Got the following up for sale.... R32 GTR Gearbox - Push type (see photos) Came out of GTR done approx 90,000 kms. Includes shifter and all sensors etc. Box was perfect when it came out of car. $450 ono R32 GTR Head - including cams, covers, CAS, coilpacks, head bolts. Cams have been removed but are included with the head. As are all covers, CAS, coilpacks, bolts etc. It would need a good clean and some maintenance done as has been sitting in garage (covered up) for about a year. $750ono R32 GTR Intake Plenum and Throttle Bodies - Currently still attached to head but removable upon request. $200 R32 GTR stock turbos inc. manifolds - Currently still attached to head. Were working fine when taken off the car. I have not checked the shaft play. Can do this upon request. $250 R32 GTR stock airbox. Also have 1 air flow meter. Not sure if it works or not. Free to whoever takes the airbox. $150 Happy to combine items at discounted rate. Contact me with your request and i will give you a price. Hey guys, selling my brake setup from my R32 gts-t, which is a great upgrade for the s13, s14, 180sx, and a few other nissans...selling as i have upgraded to R34 GTR brembo brakes. this includes: - front brake calipers (4 pot calipers with brake pads) - front slotted brake discs - rear brake calipers (2 pot calipers with brake pads) - rear brake discs The fronts have slotted rotors which have near to no lip at all, so they have plenty of meat, and the pads have 7mm left on them which will also last a decent amount of kms. The rears have normal rotors which again have hardly any lip which will last a long time, and the rear pads have 10mm left of meat, so they will last a long time All calipers have been sprayed with metalcast heatproof anodized purple and look amazing, especially when the sun hits them. Hi Guys, The time has come to move on from this project and onto the next one. This is a heavily modified example of a 1993 Nissan 180SX with over 100k spent on the build. Detailed mods list is below as are photo's of how it currently sits. Car was featured in Fast Fours when it had the previous motor setup in it.
