  1. I have owned this R33 for around 2 years now but it spent most of the time parked in the driveway as I had my white R34 “GTNAH” and thought I can build the R33 to be my thrasher/Track car at the same time. The project started sometime last year working with my brother but here is a run down of the events that took place. The R33 started something like this: Unregistered 1995 RB25det R34 Neo turbo Front mount 3” Exhaust HD clutch Lowered springs Stock wheels Genuine Impul skirts and rear bumper Stock look - Test fitting my R34 wheels (Rota P45 R2 18x10 +12) The plan was to keep it simple but for most projects things don’t always go according to plan. So a BN kit was sourced and due to the poor status of the paint, it had to be sorted. That's when it was sanded down and prepared for a respray. In the means time, a set of Tein coilovers and 18” XXR wheels were installed along with an aftermarket bonnet and the end result was something like this. At this stage I needed a daily and knowing non of the pits in perth would pass the car as it is, it had to be altered to be more street friendly so after a few minor adjustments and a couple of trips to pits, it was registered and officially street legal. The plan now is to install some of the a few bolt on mods that I have to get the car back to its original plan which was track days with the ability to use it as my daily. KKR480 Turbo Wolf 3D ECU External wastegate Change fluids (box, diff) Change thermostat and Fuel filter Boost controller Upgrade Coilpacks Apexi ECV Upgrade fuel pump Alloy Radiator Nardi Steering Wheel GTR seats GTR front bumper GTR bonnet There is always a chance of more unpredictable changes while its getting ready for a decent respray but for now the GTR bonnet / bumper seem like the ideal options since I have already have the parts Feel free to make any suggestions
  2. Picked up another 31 and plan to do a "budget" restoration; as it needs to be tidied up and i have the next few months free. I plan on trying to minimise costs, as it's only going to be used as a daily. She's a classic white 1989 GX (Auto ) with around 220,000 kms. Currently, the first step is to fix her up (I chose to focus on just the front of the car for now). This will include: Rust removal and repair (engine bay and under the guards) Fab up new battery stand 2 replacement fenders Respray the bay (QM1 white) Clean and paint engine Paint rocker cover, fuel rail, intake Pod filter (only due to space) - Cold air intake New gaskets all round (unsure about head gasket yet) New bolt kit for engine bay Paint wheel arches black Paint hubs black Paint calipers blue Fit new rims that have been recently sprayed Fix dodgy/broken wiring and clips Future plans include: QM1 Polar white paint job Manual conversion New springs and shocks Extractors and exhaust Will post pictures later on tonight of how she's currently sitting at the moment and what ive done so far. Even though I've previously owned an R31, I'd say I've got a lot to learn about them still Any help/advice/recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  3. Hey Guys, I'm new to the forum. Sorry for last video had to fix some things but it's all good now!!! I have recently taken my 33 off the road to start a project. I'm installing a new Garrett GTX3076R with supporting mods and I'm aiming for 400BHP. I'm making a video series on it going through every step of the way. If you love watching people mod their cars then check out the video, link is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yXjUFe4BUA Let me know what you guys think??
  4. Hi all Well I have been posting lots of questions and progress of my new Stagea. I plan to do a bit of work to her as I cannot help myself even with dailies so I thought I should make my own little build thread to keep my own little record, ask my stupid questions and share my new baby, so here goes. She is a Pearl white Series2 WGN34 manual 4WD RS4-S So how I came to own her, I have been slowly progressing through the skyline range as daily drivers, the first R chassis I loved was my R31 TI which served me well, purchased of an old guy and lightly modded to my liking. Sold this for my modified 32 gtst which I bought as I sold her, fully engineered at 220rwkw. Great to drive. Sold her for my 34gtt. Purchased of a mate stock and again lightly modded. The only issue with my 34 was the fact that it was silver and auto, neither of which I preferred. Playing around with the idea of doing another manual conversion and fixing bits of the body work up, I started on the lookout for a nice white manual 34 to sell into. While I was on my search the opportunity came about to get my hands on a factory manual RS4-S white C34 so I dipped my toes into the wagon world. A car I have always admired as I have always had a want for something a little different, something not every person can name off the top of their head …yes yes, nice Volvo mate. Mmmm Manual Random as f**k sticker which was since removed. No idea what it means. Bye bye 34 I was happy to get into a manual and happy with the car overall, she drove very well, servicing was good and up to date. It belonged to one of my mechanics mates, not a huge car person but enough to look after it and spend money where it was needed. Needed one hell of a tidy up though. The stag had a full turbo back exhaust, aftermarket wheels and the rest was stock so this is how she stayed for a while and took over my gruelling 700km per week daily duties. The clean-up began as this was in much need. The interior was filthy, these picks don’t even show how grimy it was. Seats were horrible, carpet needed cleaning, a few broken bits here and there which im working my way through but it did come with a simple boost guage, auto closing rear door, cargo blind and all electrics working a treat. Got stuck into it by hand with surprisingly good results. Which got a surprising amount out You can see the difference Just in the colour of the seats, again this pic doesn’t do it justice. The interior has been steam cleaned since but needs to be removed and done properly to make me a bit happier. I will be getting this professionally done soon. I have a work contact who spend 2 days removing the whole interior basically and going over every nook and cranny, something im still looking forward to. First real change was a simple swap over of wheels, the aftermarket wheels were not my taste and also I had just fitted brand new Potenza RE050 rubber on my 34 which were great and not something I wanted to loose, also a big fan of black wheels so on they went Got stuck into the paint and luckily it’s all in relatively good condition, a simple polish didn’t bring up too many hidden issues. Again it will get a full professional details soon enough. It unfortunately does have the usual stag rust spots, these are yet to be addressed Under mirror Rear wheel arch I Tinted the front windows Decided to stay legal meaning they don’t match the privacy glass in darkness but it dint worry me too much, looked better than the dicky front windows standing out and summer approaching Luckily through a local wrecker I picked up a pearl white dayz front bar, few chips and dents but not bad, gives it that more aggressive look for sure. The original front bar was a bit simple looking. Next on the list were the headlights, The driver’s side usual yellow fog cleaned up easily enough with a headlight restoration product and a good sealant. However they passenger side was losing its seal and condensation had gotten the better of the inside lens. This was as good as it was going to get without opening it up. So I bought a replacement from Fatz which cleaned up a treat. From . . . To Muuuuch better! Also picked up some eyelids, yet to fit
  5. Hey guys, I haven't really been on the Skyline Forums for a long time. I've been a bit financially crippled concerning car stuff. And this is one of the reasons why. This is my first PC build, although I don't think I've felt confused or worried at any stage, which I guess is a good sign. I've done my research, and I think it will pay off. I'm currently studying IT at University externally, which is a massive challenge for me, but hey, bring it on. Anyway, I felt I needed something to build this year, which I knew I could manage and most importantly afford. I also felt I needed something to reinforce my coursework, by giving me the confidence in successfully completing an intricate PC build. I've been purchasing parts over several pays, one chunk at a time, so I've never had a set list of parts. I've kind of just winged it, with the help of PC Part Picker to confirm it will all fit. Anyway, so far, I have the following installed: BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX Case - Black Gigabyte GA-H87N-WIFI Mini ITX Mobo Corsair CX-600 PSU 80+ Bronze Intel Core i7 4770k (Over-clockable) BitFenix Spectre 230mm Blue LED Fan Intake BitFenix Alchemy Blue LED strip Antec Kuhler 650 H2O Liquid CPU cooler (Barely fit - Extremely painful to install in my setup) G.Skill Ares 16GB (2 x 8GB) RAM DDR3 1866MHz Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition Fans for a custom exhaust I modified for the roof of the case (See Images) I have bought a Gigabyte GTX-770 OC 4GB, which should arrive in the next few days, and should give me a beast of a gaming experience. Managed to pick a new one up on eBay, during their 10% off discount thing for a reasonable price. At this point, I've spent like $1700. I might be just over $2000 by the end of the build, not including a new monitor, keyboard and mouse. All I need now is an SSD, and a HDD, which I plan on being a Samsung 250GB and a WD Black 1 TB respectively. I also want a disk drive. Because I'm old skool yo. Now, pictures! (Sorry if some are blurry. Haven't taken photos with my DSLR in months) As this is my first PC build, I'd like your opinion. What do you guys think?
  6. Hey guys, My name is Josh and after being a member of this awesome page for a while and seeing everyone else's builds, I decided I'd muster up the effort to post up my build this far! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I am building it! So in May of 2012, after passing my second phase L's I bought this beauty for 8k. It was completely stock apart from a Pod Filter, which is just the way I wanted it as I never saw a point in starting off with someone else's work, I had to make it my own from the beginning! (Unfortunately these are the only photo's I have of when I first bought it).
