So here's my ugly yellow thing: And that's how she rolled off the boat from japan, resplendent with stone chips, grandpa-grill and stupid sleepy eyelid thingies. Now the interior. Where to begin. There was no less than 3 different sized TV screens, 2 independant CD stacks, 3 head units (yes, three), 2 amps, 2 subs, 2 different alarm systems and more dodgy wiring than a Telstra telephone exchange. Just about everyhting had a remote too, and they had all been attached to the key ring. The entire key ring with all the alarms and remotes was so big that it couldn't fit inside the elbow-box on the centre console. The import guy couldn't stop pissing himself laughing as he handed the keys over. My favourite part was probably this though: This photo was taken halfway through my exorcism of the wiring-demons. Note the innocent-looking little box near the top of the tangle? This ingenius device was labeled "MAXIMUM PARTY LIGHTS". When activated, it flashed the headlights, brake lights, indicators, high beams, reverse lights - EVERYTHING - all in time to whatever music you had playing. Sometimes there are just no words. There were also 2 little black boxes jammed under the centre console. Their sole purpose was to play ridiculous little tunes. One box played an irritating song if you left the door open with the headlights on. The other box played a completely different (but equally irritating) song if you left the keys in the ignition. Here's the thing though: they didn't disable the factory Nissan "bing bing bing" sound. If you left the keys in the ignition with the door open AND the headlights on, what resulted was the most god-awful cacophony I've ever heard. Surely one stupid music box was enough? What the hell made them think they needed 2?! I removed everything that wasn't factory, put it in a BIG carboard box and put it on my bathroom scales. 29 kilo all told. 46 kilo if you included the subs. That's equivelant to like, a small girlfriend. I threw it all on ebay and was able to offset the rego cost of the car, so pretty happy about that. Aside from the atrocities committed against the electrical system, the car was otherwise unmolested. There was a HID kit that looked professionally installed and a cat-back exhaust. Considering some of the lemons I've imported in the past, I think I managed to score a reasonable Dayz edition Series 2.

I have to put up my Stagea for sale as I have no time to rebuild it.... It is sitting at a mates place and it needs to go ASAP. It's an RS4-V, so it's auto and 4wd. The car has done about 220,000kms and is in reasonable condition. The interior is in pretty good condition with some wear and tear on the steering wheel and driverside seat, but nothing to serious. Some specs of the car: Nismo clear bumper and side guard indicators Complete Dayz bodykit Weather shields 17" R34 GTT manual wheels Factory MOMO steering wheel Dayz edition carbon look dash inserts Full Black Leather interior with heated seats. No engine and missing driverside front headlight. Some engine internals in the boot. Located in Bayswater Melbourne. $2000 ONO. More pics on request.

Hey guys, Looking to get a new car and thinking of offloading the Stag. It's a Black 1999 series 2 C34 RS V (rear wheel drive). 123,000kms I had to replace the turbo some time ago which I did with a Garret ball bearing type of a similar size to original, apart from that and it being lowered (RSR springs - previous owner) and mags, it's unmodified. I've kept it serviced every 5000-7000kms and have had no major dramas. It is a great car and I will be sad to see her go, just looking for something a bit newer. Before throwing it on car sales with the other 85 stags that have been on there for donkey's, I thought I would throw it out on here to see if anyone's interested. Being an RS V rear wheel drive, black and generally unmodified, it makes it a tad rarer I guess and could be a good project car for someone looking to modify from a fresh start. It's never been dinged apart from a rear bumper on a gutter incident my girlfriend claims no knowledge of which has been repaired with the same bumper perfectly. I'm throwing it out for $10,000 NEGOTIABLE. Pics attached, I have more upon request. As I'm sure you've gathered, I ain't the biggest mechanically techy kind of guy, but I'll answer any questions I can. I'm based in Brisbane. Cheers, Dan.

Hi all Well I have been posting lots of questions and progress of my new Stagea. I plan to do a bit of work to her as I cannot help myself even with dailies so I thought I should make my own little build thread to keep my own little record, ask my stupid questions and share my new baby, so here goes. She is a Pearl white Series2 WGN34 manual 4WD RS4-S So how I came to own her, I have been slowly progressing through the skyline range as daily drivers, the first R chassis I loved was my R31 TI which served me well, purchased of an old guy and lightly modded to my liking. Sold this for my modified 32 gtst which I bought as I sold her, fully engineered at 220rwkw. Great to drive. Sold her for my 34gtt. Purchased of a mate stock and again lightly modded. The only issue with my 34 was the fact that it was silver and auto, neither of which I preferred. Playing around with the idea of doing another manual conversion and fixing bits of the body work up, I started on the lookout for a nice white manual 34 to sell into. While I was on my search the opportunity came about to get my hands on a factory manual RS4-S white C34 so I dipped my toes into the wagon world. A car I have always admired as I have always had a want for something a little different, something not every person can name off the top of their head …yes yes, nice Volvo mate. Mmmm Manual Random as f**k sticker which was since removed. No idea what it means. Bye bye 34 I was happy to get into a manual and happy with the car overall, she drove very well, servicing was good and up to date. It belonged to one of my mechanics mates, not a huge car person but enough to look after it and spend money where it was needed. Needed one hell of a tidy up though. The stag had a full turbo back exhaust, aftermarket wheels and the rest was stock so this is how she stayed for a while and took over my gruelling 700km per week daily duties. The clean-up began as this was in much need. The interior was filthy, these picks don’t even show how grimy it was. Seats were horrible, carpet needed cleaning, a few broken bits here and there which im working my way through but it did come with a simple boost guage, auto closing rear door, cargo blind and all electrics working a treat. Got stuck into it by hand with surprisingly good results. Which got a surprising amount out You can see the difference Just in the colour of the seats, again this pic doesn’t do it justice. The interior has been steam cleaned since but needs to be removed and done properly to make me a bit happier. I will be getting this professionally done soon. I have a work contact who spend 2 days removing the whole interior basically and going over every nook and cranny, something im still looking forward to. First real change was a simple swap over of wheels, the aftermarket wheels were not my taste and also I had just fitted brand new Potenza RE050 rubber on my 34 which were great and not something I wanted to loose, also a big fan of black wheels so on they went Got stuck into the paint and luckily it’s all in relatively good condition, a simple polish didn’t bring up too many hidden issues. Again it will get a full professional details soon enough. It unfortunately does have the usual stag rust spots, these are yet to be addressed Under mirror Rear wheel arch I Tinted the front windows Decided to stay legal meaning they don’t match the privacy glass in darkness but it dint worry me too much, looked better than the dicky front windows standing out and summer approaching Luckily through a local wrecker I picked up a pearl white dayz front bar, few chips and dents but not bad, gives it that more aggressive look for sure. The original front bar was a bit simple looking. Next on the list were the headlights, The driver’s side usual yellow fog cleaned up easily enough with a headlight restoration product and a good sealant. However they passenger side was losing its seal and condensation had gotten the better of the inside lens. This was as good as it was going to get without opening it up. So I bought a replacement from Fatz which cleaned up a treat. From . . . To Muuuuch better! Also picked up some eyelids, yet to fit

Hi guys, I'm looking at putting some Pro Rack Whispar Bars on the Stag. Pro Rack don't have a listing, but after I sent them some measurements, they've come back suggesting that the S45 or S42 may fit. Understandably, they're not guaranteeing that they'll fit so my question is, has anyone fit some to their Stag? Cheers, - Lance

Can somebody please tell me *definitively* (ie. with evidence) what the difference is, if any, between 2WD and 4WD adjustable tension rods? I have had some sellers tell me that these rods will fit 4WD: http://justjap.com/hardrace-heavy-duty-rubber-bushed-adjustable-tension-rods-nissan-s14-s15-r33-r34-2wd.html When I look elsewhere, the only ones I can find advertised for 4WD are all pillow-ball, and I want bushes. I can't imagine what the difference would be, having seen both the 2WD and 4WD factory original versions, but I suspect there might be a bend in the 4WD versions which isn't present in the 2WD versions... can anybody confirm one way or the other? cheers DaveB

Dez O'brian Locsed Products Factory 2/505 Maroondah Highway Ringwood, Melbourne (03)98793545 The towbar I had made has a load rate plate and has a heavy duty hitch. Just putting the info up for others. Cheers Luke

Location: Adelaide Price: $15,000 1999 Nissan Stagea C34 Series 2, RS Four-S (factory manual, think RS260 minus GTR engine and brembos. Gets LSD, stronger drive shafts, and thicker sway bars over the auto versions) I’m the 3nd Australian owner. I purchased the car privately in Melbourne in 2011 with 115,000kms on the clock. It currently has 136,500kms and comes with 8 months of rego. As you can see, I haven’t driven it a great deal. Premium upgrades with plenty of receipts for parts and work. I’ve always taken it to Jaustech or Boost Brothers Performance. The most recent serviced was performed at 135,000km by Boost Brothers. From the previous owners, it has a further 6 years of Australian service history at top workshops (Holford's and Chasers). Recently tuned by Boost Brothers Performance – 225 awkw. Dyno printout available. The body and interior are in fantastic condition. One of the cleanest C34s you will see, gets many comments to this effect. SPECS: Factory options • Full Dayz body kit • Dayz rear light caps • Twin sunroofs (no leaks) • Electronic tailgate closer • Factory xenon headlights • Rear cargo net and blind • 12v outlet in the boot • Front and rear floor mats • Privacy glass • Weather shields (deteriorated originals replaced with new OEM items) Brakes & Suspension • R33 GTS-T brake conversion with slotted rotors (fronts are DBA 4000 T3). • Cusco brake master cylinder stopper • Greddy coilovers (custom uprated Eibach rear springs to support heavier wagon end) • Greddy rear strut brace • Whiteline bushes throughout and Whiteline subframe kit • HICAS lock bar • ZSS rear upper camber arms (hardened rubber) Wheels • 19 x 9.5 BBS LM replicas (+22 front, +7 rear) • 15mm Neo Tech spacers on rear • Red/Gold BBS center caps • BBS sticker kit • Kumho KU39 235/35 tyres • Professionally rolled rear guards = no scrubs. Engine • Hypergear ATR43SS2 with billet compressor wheel, 14psi actuator • Greddy front mount intercooler • 3" full stainless steel Fujitsubo exhaust and front pipe, Lukey hotdog resonator, 3" Venom 200cpi hi-flow cat and custom dump pipe • Nistune ECU • Nismo 480cc injectors • Nismo high-flow volume fuel pump (wired for direct voltage feed) • Z32 AFM • Blitz Sus Power LM air filter • Scotty metal hard intake pipe • Splitfire coil pack • NGK BCPR7ES sparkplugs • Exedy heavy duty clutch (just done at 136,500kms) Interior • Nismo aluminium chrome shifter • Blitz SBC Type R electronic boost controller • Red LEDs in all dash lights • White LED panels in roof lights • Alpine CDA-117E head unit • Viper remote start alarm with pager • Generic boot liner Cosmetic • HELLA DayLine LED DRL's (not currently installed) • Mesh in front bar • De-badged rear • M35 Stagea rear wiper • NA front grill The minor issues 1) A couple of small rust spots under the mirrors – every C34 is prone to this. 2) The rear left rim has a crack in it. It has previously been repaired by Extensive Wheel Services but appears to be slowly losing pressure again. 3) The front left steering rack end and the CV boots need replacing. As you can see, the car has many quality brand name mods and has been cared for by fastidious owners. It’s in seriously great condition and I’ve always given it whatever it needs. If you're serious please feel free to contact me, but don’t waste my time ridiculous offers. It’s not the cheapest on the market, but I guarantee that you won't find a better example.
