  1. For sale is a set of R34GTT wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres on them. Selling as i am funding for the purchase of new wheels. The tyres are amazing in the wet and dry and about 60% on them front and 50% rears. Asking price for them $550.   4. After much consideration I've decided to offer my beloved R34 GT-T Skyline for sale Price and conditions: $14800. Not interested in swapping. I can't put it into words just how much I love this car but due to current circumstances I can't keep her. It has a presence like no other car I've owned and turns heads wherever it goes without fail. It's a 1998 Built Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T Factory Turbo Manual travelled only 124,000km. It has had the timing belt done at approx. 100,000km The car is Sonic Silver, same as the GT-R and is one of the few that is fitted with the genuine factory optional Nismo or Altira kit. Full kit being front bumper, eye lids, rear bar and side skirts. It looks awesome to say the least. Factory fitted Xenons as well, very bright lights. In terms of modification it has a FULL stainless turbo back exhaust including KLS split dump pipe to a catco hi flow cat to a HKS cat back exhaust. Running a Turbotech boost controller set to a safe 8psi and is fitted with a HKS mushroom pod filter. The car is lowered on King Springs and sits perfectly, doesn't scrub on curbs and is a firm but fair ride. The wheels are 17x9+15 Zenkais and sit perfectly with red wheel nuts. Interior has the series two gold with genuine nissan shift knob from a series 2. The car also has a 'Skyline Sound' factory system which has tweeters and 2 speakers on the parcel shelf with Skyline on them - again very rare. Also a Pioneer flip out DVD player, touch screen. Also included is a full Mongoose alarm system (required for insurance) The car has excellent service history and I have just about every receipt for the above mentioned work. It will come with a QLD safety cert and the remaining rego. If you're interested I strongly suggest to come and see it in person as my photos don't do any justice for it.   6. Hi guys, I recently just bought an OEM plastic engine under tray for my GTT, but I was wondering the actual purpose of it. I've been told that it helps cool the engine?... Anyone knows what exactly it's for? Apart from keeping water from the road out of engine bay. Cheers!

  8. Hi all, I've been a member on here for a little while now, but have only start becoming fully active in the last few months. I purchased my silver R34 GTT last year around mid-August I think it was. Appearance wise it was completely stock, but it had a few performance goodies. It was nice to finally get a turbo car, my first car was a '94 Suzuki Swift GTi, and after that I had a '00 S15 Autech, both were nice, but obviously wouldn't compete with this performance wise. I live in Dubbo NSW, where there are a few imports getting around, but not many, mostly P platers in non-turbo Supra’s haha. At the time of purchase the Skyline had the following mods: Apexi Power FC + hand controller (tuned prior to the hiflow turbo to 206kw) e-Boost2 Hiflowed turbo Splitfire ignition coils Trust front mount intercooler (retaining factory piping holes) Trust pod filter 3" turbo back exhaust JVC head unit It also has a factory sunroof. Not something I was looking for but figured it was a bonus, though, after driving it for a few weeks I realised how tiny it was The car had close to 150,000kms on it, but the previous owner who lived in bathurst was a guy in his mid-thirties who had owned the car since 2001 and had all receipts from when it was imported, its services, and all work carried out on it. He was pretty meticulous. The km's didn't bother me after seeing the condition of the car and meeting the guy. We settled on a decent price and I was a happy Skyline owner I will also note that this is my secondary ‘toy’ car. I own a VY Commodore for my daily duties, and because my girlfriend is at university and I wanted something easy to travel in, so it does that well. At first I didn’t do anything to the car, I wanted to drive it for a little bit and enjoy it without spending money. It only took me a couple of weeks before I decided to pull off the NEO engine cover though, and also take out the factory air intake ‘snorkel’. It looks pretty crappy but I wasn't a big fan of the cover either. After a couple of months of ownership I decided to head to a local drag meet which is a 1/8th mile, held at an old airport near Wellington. I went with a friend who has a Sil80 pig. Wasn’t expecting any amazing results, just wanted to go for the fun of it and ‘play’ in a legal environment. It’s the only ‘track’ related thing I can do without travelling 4 hours. I had a number of runs throughout the day, and was improving each run, until my diff begun to play up. It started doing singles and was launching terribly. I think the best run I managed was a low 9.3. I know I could’ve definitely done better, but I was still learning. After the drags I obviously needed to fix the diff, so I decided rather than repair it or replace it with a stock diff I would go a 1.5way. I decided to go with the Nismo Pro GT LSD 1.5way so I ordered this online. While waiting for the diff I bought some second hand King Springs and Bilstein shocks from a forum member. I decided it was time to fix the ‘boat-ish’ look the Skyline had. They never turned up. Luckily, having paid using PayPal I got my money back, and bought another second hand set of springs on eBay. I chose spring for the current time as after putting coilovers on the S15 I previously owned I got sick of the roughness on the ‘country’ roads too quick. Once these turned up I got a mate to help me fit them and I was amazed at the difference. It looked better and drove firmer too, but still not rough. Once lowered I decided I needed to source some wheels. I kept my eyes on the forums and soon found a set of Rota DPT 18x9.5 +22 for sale with tyres for a reasonable price. So I purchased these. I was a little unsure how the fitment would go, but from what I read I was hoping they would be fine. I also rolled the rear guards in preparation for them, just using one of the the ‘cheap’ eBay guard rollers. This worked a treat. When the wheels turned up they had a few more marks around them to what was pictured/described, possible because of the poor ‘protection’ the seller provided when having the wheels delivered. But anyway, I guess that’s part of the risk you take when buying second hand. I got home from work the next day and went to fit the wheels all excited and discovered that my wheel nuts were not going to fit. I raced around town trying to find some that would fit to no luck. As a result I bought some 50mm extended wheel nuts from Cartel Aus, and opted for blue ones, as I thought they would match the black wheels on the silver paint. Once these arrived I fitted the wheels and was happy with the appearance. Not quite ‘build’ related, but I went for a bit of a drive one weekend when I had nothing better to do with a mate Kam, also a member on here, who just recently purchased a R32 GTR. Originally I was just going over to visit him (about an hours drive) and we would drive to Mudgee for lunch. This ended up in about an 11hr round trip drive for me after we decided to drive all the way to Bathurst and cruise around Mount Panorama before heading home. Next the diff arrived and I tried to find somewhere local to fit it. After being refused service by about 5 different local ‘transmission and differential’ shops, absolute joke but I guess that’s half the trouble with living ‘rural’ with an import, I finally found someone who would fit the diff for me. I must say, best thing I have done to a car so far. After driving the car for 20minutes I felt like I learnt so much. The car felt so much nicer to drive too. After fitting the diff I haven’t done much with the car, just been driving it around to bed in the new diff. Did go for a cruise out of town with a mate in his XR6 and a couple of mates with bikes. I attended a local car show with Kam in his GTR and a couple of other mates, who had R32 GTST, XR6 turbo and a Supra (N/A). It was good to attend this and push some local support for imports. I wanted to do this because the ‘charity car show’ had about 16 trophies covering Holden, Ford, muscle, bikes, utes, even ‘country utes’ and tractors, but nothing for imports. We gave them a bit of shit about it haha. Ahh to be in the country *bliss*. After the event we went for a bit of a drive. Along the way, the clutch slipped in 3rd gear, and later slipped in 2nd and 3rd. Time for a new clutch. Because I’m saving for a month’s holiday in Japan my budget is tight. But I wanted to replace it as there is a motorkhana event on locally at Easter which I want to attend, and have already paid to enter. I picked up an Exedy heavy duty clutch (just a basic one) on eBay for cheap that was coming out of a wreck. I received that a couple of days ago and am going to get a couple of mates to help with getting that fitted. Soo… this gets us to present time. I've thought about writing up one of these for a while now and I've got some time to kill at work at the moment so I guess here we go Some background first My first car was an old red 86 corolla while I was on my L's. The car ended up getting totalled out the front of my parents house in the early hours of the morning. Scrapped that car and bought a 97 EK1 Civic, an awesome little car to cruise around in on my red P's Had plans on doing a b18 conversion on it but ended up buying a 97 DC2 Integra instead. Only a few basic bolt on mods were done by the boys at Toda in wetherill park, 115kw at the fronts I had this through my red and green P's. I lost my licence for 3 months and during this time 2 cars caught my eye, S15 Spec-R and R34 GTT. 2 guys I used to work with owned 1 of these each. The more I looked in to both these cars, the more I fell in love with the GTT. Now I knew what car I wanted, and I knew exactly how I wanted it to look. Black and with the Nismo kit Fast forward a year and a bit to december 2011, I sold the integra and bought a run around corolla so I could save up for the GTT So I searched around the net for over a year or so looking for that "one" car. Until in april 2012, searching carsales at work, I finally found it. It looked clean, well looked after and exactly what I wanted. I called a mate of mine and sent him the link to look over. After working out the funds and a few email conversations with the seller, it was time to go see her in person. I took a mate of mine with me as he has owned a few skylines and knew what to look for. We pull up to the meeting place and there it was, the pictures did not do it justice. Even before we got out of the car I told my mate I'm buying it. I had him look it over from to to bottom and after a talk with the owner it was time for a drive. Now the funny thing was, I was still on my green P's, I could of gone for them whenever I wanted, just never had the need to, until now lol I had my mate test drive it for me and once he gave me the go a head I left a deposit. As we were driving back to our mechanics place he said to me he never understood my obsession with getting the GTT with the nismo kit until he saw this one lol A couple of days after that I got my full licence and a few days after that I paid the rest and picked her up.   15. Hi guys, Got a 1999 GTT, coupe and now want to fix it up, little bits here and there in the interior mainly. Located in Sydney and am willing to pay for postage if it's reasonable and will pick up if within distance too (I work fulltime, live in Hornsby). Here's what I need so far, will add more as I go along. Many thanks if anybody is able to help me out no matter how small! Armrest centre console lid - my hinge is half snapped Set of red LEDs for console and/or the climate control area (will also buy these off DAN666 if nobody has them on hand, which i doubt). Need a new rear driver-side speaker mesh cover in the back, the ones that are on the parcel shelf at the back - Haven't checked if this is removable by itself, so if not, may need an entirely new parcel shelf Driver side rain shield - the clear red colour piece of plastic that sits above the door so you can open some window when it's raining...? If anybody has an aftermarket centre dash console - from the 3 gauges downwards to the stereo area then welcome to show me some pics and make me an offer, I don't quite like the material of the stock console. Stock R34 GTT 2Door tail lights - BLACK because my car is black and would rather not buy a set and have to respray. If anybody has nismo indicators at all, let me know too. if you have any headlights sets/bulbs that you want to sell off, also make me an offer.   21. Hi all I'm selling a full R34 altia kit frond end. The kit will include altia front bar, bonnet left and right fenders, front bar reo and brackets, hood hinges, front bar bonnet stay and also inner gaurd plastics. This should be all the body panels required to do a full r34 front end conversion. All parts are genuine nissan in black. I'm chasing $1200 for everything (negotiable). I can also include a LHS xenon headlight, altia rear bar and/ or switch out the bonnet and front bar for genuine GTR items for an additional cost. Pics will be up tomorrow.   24. 1998 R34 GTT Manual turbo I am the first owner of this car in Australia (bought July 2008 with 88,603 km), and have taken very good care of it. This is my second car, so I hardly drive it, hence why I'm selling it. Asking $15000, resonable offers considered 126XXX Rego till August 2015 No RWC Factory body kit Apexi N1 catback exhaust Nismo Spec R coilovers Walbro Fuel Pump Volk Rims 4 new tyres, Kumho KU31 fitted last month New Century battery, fitted last week JVC DVD Head unit MTX 5 channel Amp MTX Sub Aftermarket gauges - fuel temp, water temp, turbo boost pressure Apexi turbo timer Aftermarker HIDs Dyno (Nov 2009) - 197.1 rwkw Cons: Fuel guage does not work, however the reserve light comes on when the fuel is low Crack in front body kit near the number plate (hardly noticible unless up very close) and crack in front bumper bar reo - this is due to a towbar backing into me Overall the car is in very good condition, runs very nice, never caused me any issues and I have never been hasseled by the cops.   25. I'm selling my 1998 R34 GT-T which has done 105,000km and has had regular oil changes in the 5 years I have owned it. I'm the second owner in AU since import. ** The car has front end damage ** - About 2 years ago I had a front end crash which pushed the radiator into the engine fan and totalled the headlights, reo bar, radiator, bonnet and front bar. Rather than fixing this properly, I was lazy and went out a bought a new front bar, reo, xenon headlights, radiator, and carbon fibre bonnet. I pushed out the bar that the radiator sits on with a jack, slotted in the new radiator, bolted a new reo on, then zip tied the headlights and front bar on, and replaced the bonnet and intercooler with a brand new ones. The car is used as an everyday work car so it is driven from Crafers in the hills to town 5 days a week and rarely driven on the weekends, so it's pretty much just wasting my petrol money. I have been pulled over about 4-5 times since the crash and have not been defected, although it could be defected if a cop wanted to be a prick, but so can 95% of the cars on the road. I spent about $8000 at once in mods about 18 months ago and had it tuned to 260rwkw. You could just keep it as it is and drive it like it is, or spend the time on fixing the front end properly.
