Since i bought my R34 my low beams have always been terrible - ie. poor visibility. I'm pretty sure they are some kind of cheap HID kit from ebay that the previous owner has put in. They take a second to flick on and have a blue tint to them. Anyway i think one of the bulbs has blown on the passenger side or something else is going wrong. When i turn on the headlights the passenger side flickers on for an instant before turning off. Is the bulb gone or is it something else? Also what options do i have if i wanted to put in brighter (more usable light) lights? Don't want blue ones, wouldn't mind white but i'd prefer to see the road first. Also i tried to take off the dust cover to see what globe was in there but there was a weird hexagon screw with a small piece in the center - do i need a hollow hex key or something to take it off?

I've got a problem with one of my headlights (RHS) and hopefully someone on here can point me in the right direction. Just recently the light stopped working. I pulled the bulb out and gave everything around that area a few soft taps. Then it began working for about one day and now it has stopped again. I've switched ballasts over and bulbs and all seem to be working fine. From what I can see it is the below pictured cable and box that seems to be the problem. This goes through the actual headlight connecting the ballast to the actual bulb. Can anyone tell me exactly what this box does and where I can find a replacement? The headlights are aftermarket.

Hey Everyone, Just picked up a 1998 R34 GTT and on my first cruise some others noticed my headlights playing up. Currently my drivers side light is not on. During the cruise, it would change between drivers side out, passangers side out, or both one. I checked both the fuses by swapping them to the working light slot and no issues. Is there anything before the fuse box that could cause the headlights to go out on different sides randomly? Going to get new bulbs this afternoon regardless. Thank you in advance PS, only my driving lights have the issue. Parkers and High Beams are unaffected
