Hey my fellow SAU'ers I am having an IDLE problem with my Stagea 260RS S1 that has RB26DETT on it. The idle goes up and down and not stable between 1500rpm down to 200rpm and sometimes stalls especially when called. We have checked the AAC valve.. and cleaned it aswell. I have read somewhere that TPS can be another issues and need to check the voltage, I have a datascan but I dunno what values i should be looking at. We have tried swapping Air Flow Meters with my mates RB26 R34 which doesnt have any idle issue and plug it in to my Rb26 and it still doing the same behaviour. But what myself and my mate notice is, when we pull out the plug out of the water temp sensor that goes to the ECU and the idle started to be stable around 800-1000rpm range.. But ones plug back in.. the idle goes up and down again. We have tried swapping the water temp sensor with the R34 one, idle still the same, going up and down.. but we notice the part number is different on this RB26 water temp sensor compare to mine. Is there anyone can give me information and point me to the right direction what else should I test and check? Would be much appreciated!! Cheers Sau'ers

Hi all, I have for sale my RB26DETT engine setup out of my late model Series 3 R33 GTR. This engine is in excellent condition and in stock standard trim, right down to stock turbo's, dump pipes and injectors. To give you some background, I purchased my GTR as a Grade 4.5 with 84,000 Km's from Japan in late 2009 after an extensive search for the right car, and with the exception of a cat back exhaust and Power FC, the the engine was and remains standard. Once the car arrived it was given a full 100k service including new Timing Belt, Water Pump. full fluid flush, plugs, then a compression test which revealed perfect results across all 6 cylinders, and finally a dyno tune for safety which was performed at one of Sydney's premier GTR building workshops. The car has been used only very sparingly since coming into the country as plans for a build were put in place almost immediately, and has now covered only 87,000's The engine has been religiously serviced, or rather pedantically over-serviced at my request by Just Jap Racing in Sydney using only the best Motul lubricants and fluids. The reason for sale is I have been slowly building up a complete brand new engine from scratch which is now ready to drop in, and as such the current engine setup needs a new home. As I mentioned, I am selling the engine in assembled long form including the following: - Complete Long Engine (Head covers to sump) - Intake & Exhaust side (Stock Plenum, Injectors, Fuel Rail, Turbos & Dumps) - Stock Radiator (If Required) The engine is currently still in my car, and is due to come out by the end of this month. Interested buyers can see, hear and experience the engine running before it is removed. (yes this is also listed in the Stagea section, if i have to downsize to one thread leave this one here please ) For sale i have a custom high mount twin turbo setup off an R32 GTR. Basically everything you need here to change from low mount to high mount (bar a couple of dash fittings for the block) In this kit you will get: 2x Garrett 2860 -7 turbos (NOTE: please read at the bottom regarding turbo condition) 2x steampipe manifolds made by Garage 7 - T2 flange 2x custom 2.5" dump pipes with 5 bolt flanges (where they combine into one, they become a 3.5" pipe with a 3 bolt flange) 2x custom intake pipes with Drift brand air filters (these pipes can be trimmed shorter to fit AFMs) All custom braided oil feed / drain and coolant feed / return lines (see note at bottom also regarding extra fittings) Custom Y pipe to meet up with factory rubber intercooler pipe joiner (obviously to suit R32 engine bay) Vaccum hose for both actuators (with heat shield sleeving) Oil feeds are -6 Coolant feed / return are -8 Oil drains are -10 (teflon braid used for these) This setup made 355rwkw / 500nm on 20psi, and had a lot better midrange compared to stock low mount manifolds. Has a unique sound too From the stock setup, you will need to add / modify the BOV recirculation (i have removed my factory BOV pipework, it just needs a pipe teed into the y pipe before the joiner) or remove it all You will also need to relocate the power steering resevoir to allow clearance for the rear intake pipe (i was easily able to move it to the bracket that held the carbon canister on the radiator support panel between the radiator and the back of the LH headlight). Small piece of hard line "bundy tube" and the job is done Regarding fittings: You will require a few Speedflow/Powerflow/Aeroflow style "dash" fittings to complete the job, i still require the ones that arent supplied. One picture Regarding turbo condition: The rear turbo (the one pictured with the longer hot pipe snout) has had a bearing failure. Has been quickly checked and will require a rebuild. I would get the other checked at the same time just for piece of mind Basically whats pictured is what you get. Its a unique look, and needs a good home. Ive decided to go down a single turbo path on my 26, so no longer can use any of this gear. All of the stuff was made up last year, and the car has been driven next to nothing in that time Im looking for $1750 for the whole kit, but i am negotiable too. As in title a HKS F-Con V Silver for R32 R33 RB26 motors (may be ok for R34 but not 100% sure) Comes with wiring adapter harness and map sensor as per pictures below. Due to parting out my car this engine is for sale seperately. Engine will be removed tomorrow or during the week. It comes with HKS Forged pistons. This will be confirmed when the sump is removed for inspection. They are definently not standard as they don't have 5mm ish round raised circle on them when viewed though the spark plug hole. I imported the car with this engine in it. The spec sheet mentioned HKS pistons. This can be believed as everything else listed replicated what was on the car. Engine has never had larger injectors fitted therefore has never exceeded 300rwkw. Everyone knows these engine will last forever when run under 300rwkw and boosted around 15psi with a good tune. I drove it with 280rwkw just to be safe as engine rebuilds are the nemesis of GTR owners. I cannot confirm yet if it has a N1 oil pump or R33 crank. It may even be an R33 GTR motor? Rods are also unknown? Never saw the oil light flash or gauge drop due to surge. Cams are standard and fitted with adjustable cam gears fitted. Engine has never been overheated in my ownership. Rocker covers and cam cover have been painted in 2 pack metallic silver. All electronics/accesories attached to the engine will be included. -5 turbos have limited km's with adjustable actuators. Willing to sell these seperately. With these turbos I drove it for a year. After that the car spent a year EPA'd noise (was cleared) and then driven a few times the following year. Last 2 years it has been de-reg'd just sitting in my shed. Started occasionally. Front diff/sump included. If bought in the next few weeks with the turbos I'll throw in some custom made 3 inch dumps plus twin 3 inch front pipes merged to 3.5 inch pipe with 3 inch flange. Happy to do a comp or leakdown test after removal. Sold the gearbox before I had a chance to check it. Need to sell these. I don't want them taking up space! Pictures will be added during the week not that what an engine looks like matters. Its the condition inside that counts! $5000ono for engine and turbos. Can supply everything needed to do a GTSt conversion for a few extra dollars. I've done the conversion before. Also have a OS Giken Triple plate clutch in great condition. Prob 90% meat left $1500 - These are $3000 new and never ever thought of slipping. Located in southern suburbs of Melbourne. Happy to feight but please organise you own prices.

Hello everyone, I ran a search and couldnt really come up with any deffinitive answers. I figured I'd start a post here to see if anyone had any advice and I will be updating with remedial actions. I'll start off with the car specs and then run you through the situation. 1992 BNR32 GTR, 108,000 km on stock RB26DETT Mods include: Power FC, HKS pod filters, Koyo radiatior, HKS intercooler with hard pipes, ORC twin plate clutch. The other day i took my car past 6000 rpms for the first time and the cat temp light flashed rapidly. after some research i learned that the powerfc will flash the cat temp light when there is a red flag for multiple reasons. One of them being engine knock. I changed the display on my powerfc to display engine knock and found some disturbing results. At start up, the fc will read a high of 30 knock. After start up ill clear the display and at idle it will show knock between 1-8. normal diriving up to 3500 will show 8-15. 4500 will show 20-25. at 6000 it will show 61. My power fc is set flash the cat temp light at 60 nock so that would explain why it was flashig. From my research I've learned that the Powerfc is not the most accurate device in displaying knock, and should only be used to give a general idea. I guess all im asking is what do you all think of this? How concerned should i be? I would rather have ZERO knock lol. This weekend I will be compression testing the engine to get a better idea of where i stand. Hopefully the results wont be to bad. As long as its not to bad (155-175 psi on all cylinders) i plan to baby the car for the next two years and save $ for a new engine. Any thoughts or advice is welcome. Thanks guys, -Eric

I have a few parts left over from my parting out my car. All parts are 40 minutes south of Melbourne. Everything came off a running car. $3000 RB26DETT engine which I only put 10,000kms of in the whole time I owned my car. It has only been run at 280rwkw on standard injectors. Made 300rwkw on the dyno at 100% duty cycle but I wanted to keep a safety margin. I imported it with N1 pistons which has been confirmed after I removed the sump recently. All bores look good. It alway had good oil pressure. I have attached pictures confirming the N1 pistons. I couldn't tell you which model crank or oil pump. It was an extremely smooth engine. I have the turbo manifolds, dumps and new gaskets in a box. Comes with everything pictured. Also comes with coil pack cover. Sump was cleaned while it was removed. Custom fan. I never had any overheating issues and increases power. May sell the rocker/coil pack and cam cover, sump, coil packs $450, complete inlet and everything attached to it ?? seperately if the engine doens't sell as a complete unit soon. I know most people will only be buying it to replace a blown engine anyway hence already have all of these parts. $1500 OS GIken full face solid centre triple plate clutch. 80-90% meat on clutch packs and no hot spots on the drive plates. It is very drivable as I've driven on it in city traffic etc. These are rated to 1000hp. One of the try perfomance clutches out there today. Worth $3000 new. $650 324mm brake upgrade. UAS adapters. Braided lines with metal fittings. New slotted rotors front and rear. Reconditioned and painted calipers. Castor rod deflectors and if I can find it a master cylinder stopper. Sold the car and I've got this stuff I need to move on so its going on here. The OEM parts are from 1993 R32 GTR with 120,000km 1. S15 Silvia/200SX pair Rear RDA slotted rotors with metal backing plates (thickness unsure) FREE 2. 4x S15 Silvia/200SX Rear brake calipers 3 of them are leaking and have been disassembled 1 of them still operating fine. Have 3 used Nissan brake pads to go with them and also have handbrake cables attached $20 the whole lot. Picture is of the 1 remaining caliper that operates fine. 3. For anybody about to venture into the world of a rebuild, turbo change, intercooler change, or a general increase in power would benefit from understanding it's not just about whacking a bigger turbo on, or winding the boost up!
