Hi Guys This is aimed at the 34 GTR guys that have removed/locked the HICAS system. I have searched for about an hour now on here and on the mystical google but i cant find anything in direct reference to what is involved in locking/removing the HICAS from a BNR34. its all the 33's and 32's. Is anyone able to tell me exactly what parts and the procedure involved in doing this for the 34? A m8 has a 34 GTT and his HICAS was locked with a lock bar and taking some plugs out, but i have a power steering reservoir in my boot so im assuming that its not going to be as simple as that.

I am currently in the process of removing my dash to replace the heater core, and have it flocked. So I thought I would also get the Glovebox Cover flocked to fit in also. However I didn't want to ruin the lock or the handle, as I want the handle to be carbon dipped at a later date. So i have written a bit of a guide on how to take the cover off. Tools Needed Philips Headscrew Driver Flat Head Screwdriver Heatgun (maybe) Hotglue, Epoxy, Superglue, or your choice of adhesive. 1. Remove the Glovebox from the dash, fairly simple to do. You'll then have this Glovebox Cover Flip it over and you'll see this 2. Remove the 2 screws with a Philips Head Screwdriver, otherwise you won't be able to separate the 2 half's. 3. Work your way around the sides with a Flat Head Screwdriver, you could use a heatgun to heat the plastic, I didn't and it worked fine, just made a bunch of popping noises as the bonds were broken. 4. You'll then be left with this 5. Remove the lock and handle, and send the cover off for recovering, flocking, whatever. 6. Assembly is done with everything done in reverse with the use of Epoxy, Superglue, whatever to rejoin the 2 half's I'll post pics of the assembly when I get to that stage.
