Hi everyone, i Need to replace my Front Lower Ball Joints. I got the old ones out of the FCA and now i‘m having a Hard Time to get the new ones in. i measured the diameter of the FCA, which is 40,3mm. The new Ball Joints are 41,3mm. The Supplier confirmed that These are the Right diameters. i cooled down the Ball Joints and heated up the FCA. They still won‘t fit in (using a hydraulic press), which doesn‘t suprise me Because of the 1mm oversize. How did u manage to get these in?? car is a 33 gtst.

A couple months ago I noticed my r33 gtst hicas ball joints were flogged but neglected the issue. I recently had a full wheel alignment done and the rear end is still snaking under acceleration and deceleration, so i decided I'd better have a closer look at the problem. As expected the balljoint are creating play and they need to be replaced asap. I've had a solid look on the net for the best upgrade without buying a whole hicas lockout system and not much luck. I have a lock bar already and i dont want to tamper with the aligment since i just paid for one. Does anyone know where i can get solid bushes to replace the worn ball joints or what the best upgrade would be. this is the only option i have found so far - http://www.jdmgarageuk.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=843. I've herd rubber(non solid bushes) would create unwanted play... -
hey guys, had a look through this section and used the search but still couldn't find an answer or anything similar. As I'm turning to the right or going back to the centre from a left turn, there is a creaking noise somewhere in the front right hand side suspension. I've had a search on google and suspecting a worn ball joint? Is this a common problem and has anybody else had this problem? To describe the noise in full detail it sounds exactly like a door creaking open in a horror movie when the wheel is turned slowly. Would appreciate any help to this. Cheers, Sean
