Hey all, Ive searched through many pages and still haven't found the info I was after. I have a 1993 R33 GTS25T, basic bolt ons. it still has the standard turbo that has been hiflowed. its developed a problem all of a sudden, there is smoke coming from the turbo area, not from the manifold/head, instantly I thought i blown a seal but generally that would cause smoke out the exhaust too, there is no smoke what so ever from the rear. Also there didn't seem to be any power loss, boost problems etc. Have removed the turbo to inspect and it all seems tidy and healthy, no shaft play no scorching etc. wondering if anyone else has/had problems similar and what it was. Cheers!

Hi Guys, I have a R33 which has a blown motor. Suspect is a cracked piston. The car still starts and drives but has a nice bit of white smoke coming out of the exhaust. My mechanic thinks it is number 5 piston based on a compression test I am selling as i just dont have the money to pull the motor out and repair it, because i know once i get it out i will want to forge the bottom end and it will cost me more than i can afford Some details on the car: - Series 1 - Colour Black - 150,000 kms - Standard motor, never been rebuilt - 5 speed manual - Sunroof - Unregistered Mod List: - Garrett GT3076r turbo - Standard low mount manifold - 3 inch Kakimoto exhaust - Front mount intercooler - Microtech LT16 ECU - Bosch 044 Fuel pump - Fuel Regulator - 850 cc Injectors - Yellow Jacket coil pack - Custom air filter and cover - Front strut brace Interior : - GReddy e-boost 2 - Apexi turbo timer - GReddy boost gauge and mount - Pioneer front splits - Pioneer rear 6 inch speakers Additional : - Comes with standard r32 rims powder coated black . I have a set of Super Hiro 19 inch rims that were on the car for a few weeks with 85% rubber that i could include for the right price - It has a flat fiber glass boot Location = Wollongong, NSW The car was making 275 rwkw's on 16psi when the problem occurred and i have kept it garaged ever since. I'm looking to either sell it for around 4.5k or to swap for something that is running. If anyone is interested please let me know and we can work something out. Open to inspections and all sorts of swaps Thanks Rob With the 19's Before it blew

M35 DIY turbo replacement Hi all, Apologies for creating a new thread but I can't for the life of me find any DIY threads for replacing a blown turbo on the VQ25. Funnily enough the threads I have found refer OP to the search function. I understand a few owners have had to go through this heartache but has anyone documented it for use on this forum? Keen to grab an M35 and want to research turbo replacement as it's going to need it sometime down the track but sale depends mostly on ease of replacing this critical part.

SO i need some f**king help, heres how it iz: bought car after sitting 2 years and forged motor with 20k km on it, blown turbo rear housing (turbo removed & gone), seller lost interest and boought an f6. came with an f6bb turbo i fitted and made lines n dump etc. I finally started it fine and then found it to be very smokey when revved. I pulled turbo intake off and BAM oil everywhere, took dump off and BAM oil everywhere. runtime 5 min with 1mm restrictor. I figured well seals are f**ked for oil to get into front and back. Prev owner said turbo only had 10k km on it and was very surprised & gonna look into it. So i buy a r33 turbo just to get this car moving & regod and.............BAM same thing again oil in front and rear housing after few min startup and no restrictor and now im furious.....well at the time i was, but the guy gave me his word hed give me money back if it was blown as he didnt use that turbo. NOW im thinkin do i have that bad a luck where i make 2 turbo setups work and there both f**ked ?? f**k this i should just buy a newby. WHAT i did notice is with the r33 turbo the car was missfiring and i did notice oil was in cyl 5 from the looks of the head and manifold, so i checked the manifold from the f6 setup and there too was a bit of oil in cyl 5 there too, But surely that cant get into the front turbo housing. SO WHAT DO YOU THINK ? a combination of 2 f**ked turbos and oil in cyl 5 like the head gasket is f**ked or what. SO i got a r34 op6 and made sure it was not f**ked, guy showed pics of upgraded turbo he put on and stocky was taken off in running order with 140k km on it so today i hope to fit it and see what up !!! wish me luck f**kers Peace
