bought the car, 1998 R33 gtst 40th anniversary series 2 or 3 i dont know, debatable, anyways, drove for a month, no dramas, one day lose boost and power so crawl 2km home whilst making ungodly bloody grinding noise, figured i blew turbo, so, bought a stock r34 turbo, installed it, topped up water and it was back to its old beastly self, infact running and sounding brilliant, so i kinda guessed problem solved right? wrong!! 2 days later, same situation, just putting along, not giving it balls, all of a sudden, loses boost and power again, same as before, did i do something wrong?? is there a blockage in the oil line? was it just a crappy used turbo at the end of its life?? split hoses have been replaced i dont know what else to do, buy another turbo and blow out the engine line with an air compressor?? kinda stumped any advice would be ace, cheers

I suspect that my stock R34 turbo has a compressor wheel problem and needs to be rebuilt. Looking for a hks gtrs or something to get me around 250-300 kw with good response. Offer me some good turbos with a t3 flange at a good price and we can go from there. Cheers!

Having never pushed the limits of my turbo R33, i got to thinking about what happens when you blow one. So quite simply, whats happens when you blow a turbo (such as the classic overboosting concequence of pushing a stock ceramic/nilon turbo to destruction)? Can you still drive home? or will you be taking a tow truck home? And also, how many people out there changed over the turbo at home, Vs getting a shop to do it. Was it a great difficuilty, or just a lot of grunt work? Hoping to never have this happen, but am interested to know

Hi, wasnt geting any boost so after looking at the little stuff, ripped the stock turbo off the r34 GTT and found that the exhaust wheel has less teeth than a Collingwood supporter :-) (sorry just a joke) Any one know of the best place, price, reliability and performance that I should talk to? all suggestions are appreciated! thanks all!!!!
