Hi all, looking for suggestions, I'm hooking into my Links G4 can bus with a home brew module consisting of a PIC micro controller + CAN controller / transceiver that will give me up to 8 x 0-5V analog outputs and a few digital in / outs. Sum total of parts $15. (Programming and development..... lots of hours, but my time is free) I have tested a VDO oil pressure gauge and I can successfully mimic the operation of the sender via PWM and 1st order filtering to a transistor that provides the current sink for the gauges sense terminal. It's not an elegant solution but it works. What I am looking for is a gauge that takes 0-5V and is available in a range of common display types like oil / water temp, oil press etc. I've been googling around, but nothing is coming up? I have seen dedicated canbus gauges but they are so overpriced and I am not sure if the Link CANBUS operates to a particular automotive standard for its peripherals that I already have hanging off the bus so they may not work. Any suggestions for 0-5V or something similar?

Oil Catch Can Discussion Hey guys, I know this topic has probably been beaten to death, but the more I look into a catch can the more confusing it gets. It seems like most people are afraid to vent the catch can to the atmosphere. Is it because people don't want to get into trouble for the environmental aspects, or are they afraid that the crank case won't be able to vent adequately without vacuum being pulled on the system? I found a picture from speed hunters of a car that seems to be venting out of a oil separator to the atmosphere with no catch can at all. Has anyone ever seen this done, or have any opinions on the viability of this set up. I am currently trying to come up with a catch can solution, and as I am sure you all know space is a premium under the hood of a gtr without having to relocate the battery etc. Any opinions on this set up, or a good mounting location for a catch can? Thanks.

Racepace R33/R34 GTR Catch Can/Washer Bottle with inbuilt Oil/Air Separator Hi Guys, I have a Racepace R33/R34 GTR Catch Can/Washer Bottle with inbuilt Oil/Air Separator for sale. This came out of my R34 GTR and was working perfectly but needs to go now as I have to fabricate a new one to suit the new engine setup. The great thing about Racepace catch can's over normal ones is they have a built in oil/air separator which means you can have it leading back into your intake without having to worry about sucking oil back through. It also means you end up with one clean looking unit rather than the usual style oil air separator you see on top of the engine covers. I had this one specially made with -12 AN fittings rather than push on style hoses as it looks a lot nicer. You have 3x -12 fittings for breathing (rockers, sump etc) and a -6 drain. Overall its in good condition just a little bit dirty. No marks or scratches. Cost me $450 new. Price is $300 ONO and catch can is located in Rouse Hill, NSW. Pickup is preffered over post but will post at buyers expense. Any questions just message me or sms/call 0403858714. Thanks, Brett

Microtech LTC Pro Dash -> Haltech Elite Microtech tell me that these two are compatible and that my friendly service type person can hook them up, pun intended. That's OK in theory, in practice as usual I'd end up with a No Problem Mate type person type fiddling around at $150 per hour. It's a CAN thing, does anyone know what is basically involved in getting these two digital boxes working together?

Hi SAU, As the title states, need cable to connect my ECU to my laptop. It's a USB to CAN LTW (6 pin circular) type cable. Below is what I'm talking about I'm located in Casey area of VIC. Prefer local as we all know how the post is going right now. Need it asap. Will even pay just to borrow it for a few days if you have one but not for sale. Need it to programme new link CAN gauge. Cheers
